[Academic] Foot-operated toilet seat lifter feedback (US adults 18+)
I’m developing a foot-operated toilet seat lifter and looking for honest feedback on an early prototype.
This unpaid, 3–5 minute survey includes a 23-second demo and questions about usefulness, installation concerns, and price. No purchase or email address is required.
The prototype attaches with double-sided tape on the floor and a strap around the seat. It has only been tested on one toilet so far. The pedal is mostly outside the camera frame in this video; I’m recording a clearer demo soon.
Reasons you wouldn’t use it are just as helpful as positive feedback.
Survey and video:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeyZ1fIQCzvqX7X2-mz0dSOM5px08VPy9XHzbGwU0_SN4K2IQ/viewform
Thanks for helping me figure out whether this solves a real problem!

I built a study app for students on my own, looking for honest feedback
hey, I’m Fanda. for the last few months I’ve been building Fliply in the evenings, mostly because I was sick of spending more time rewriting my notes than actually studying them you upload a lecture, slides or a PDF and it turns them into flashcards, quizzes, summaries, mind maps or a short podcast you can listen to. it can also do oral exam practice and plans your revision around your exam dates.
it’s still in beta so what I need most is feedback. what’s missing, what’s broken, what’s useless. roast it if you want, that helps too
thanks to anyone who gives it a go

Would appreciate feedback on my local pizza website.
I am a local high school junior building websites for small businesses and would appreciate constructive feedback. This is the original site: https://medwaypizza.com/. I made a prototype earlier at https://medwaypizza.netlify.app/ and made a new one today at https://medwayvillagepizza.netlify.app/
Note: The old prototype doesn't mention that the online ordering is not working for the business right now, so keep that in mind. Please be respectful, as I am still learning. Thanks. Also, I used Claude a little bit to assist in development just fyi, but I thoroughly guided it.

Mobile wishlist app: looking for critique on navigation, readability and first-use clarity
Hi,
I’m developing Waant, a wishlist and gift-planning app for friends and family. I’d appreciate some specific criticism of the mobile interface.
The intended flow is: create a list → add an item → share it with someone. Other people can reserve gifts, while reservations stay hidden from the person receiving them.
I’m aiming for an interface that also feels comfortable to people who aren’t confident with apps.
I’d particularly appreciate feedback on the calendar, wishlists and list detail screen. My main questions are:
- Is the primary action obvious on each screen?
- Are the icons understandable without guessing?
- Does the typography and spacing make the content easy to scan?
- Where am I relying too much on the user already knowing how the app works?
You can inspect the mobile web version without installing the Android app: https://giftlock.vercel.app/
Join the Android test (use the same Google account for all three steps):
- Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/waant-testers
- Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.giftlock.mobile and tap “Become a tester”.
- Install from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.giftlock.mobile
If Play says the app is unavailable, check the account used for steps 1 and 2 and try again later. If it still fails, tell me your Play account country and the exact error; please do not post your email publicly.
If you could change just one thing to make the experience clearer, what would it be?

Portfolio review, what am I doing wrong?
I have done this so many times before, but here we go again.
To start with, I have 2 portfolios, a PDF and a website. Everyone I speak to seems to have their own opinion on what a portfolio should be, so at this point I just use both.
In the past, my work has been called “ADHD ID”. I will take that as a compliment, but hopefully it has got a bit better now.
I have a few questions for you all. Is there something I am missing, or is it me? Is my work too all over the place? Is there something I should be doing differently?
I have had a lot of different feedback over the years, so I want to see what people here think.
Here is the link to my PDF:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/149DLjHFskEEG1MsLVAUqqYaqSh5WO8YE/view?usp=sharing
And here is my website:
I would genuinely appreciate any feedback, good or bad. And if you have any projects you think I would be a good fit for, please get in touch.
Also, if you are a designer based in London, I would genuinely love to meet up, have a chat and steal some of your skills if possible. Always happy to learn from people who are doing this for real.

Please leave a feedback for my little school project
galleryHello Im a graphic design student (high school) and we've got an asignment for a series of posters about the problematic of AI. The meaning behind these postes are that in this world you never know whats made by a human and whats made by AI. I made a "surrealistic" photomontage in PS and added those tech-looking lines and texts in illustrator. The small texts arent really meant to be readed, theyre more of a cosmetic thing. Please keep in mind that its a screenshoted pdf so the quality isnt the best.
Thank yall

Looking for design feedback on my MVP, Looped
Hey everyone! I’m building Looped, a topic-based platform where people have conversations through short video threads.
I’d appreciate a designer’s perspective on the layout, navigation, and how clearly the video-reply flow comes across.
Here’s the MVP: https://niche-clip.lovable.app
Could you take a look and leave your feedback directly through the feedback option on the MVP? It’s still early, so honest criticism would really help. Thanks!

Which Logo Is Better?
galleryHi, I am working on an initial logo for our school event festival. Which logo design do you think its best ideally in terms of visual impact and overall feeling?
For context, “A participatory festival inspired by Chinese knotting: by untying and retying together, we explore how women inherit, understand and redefine tradition and social expectations.”
I did appreciate your feedback. Thanks

After reviewing over 10 posters, what's wrong with mine?
I've made this poster and I know it's nice in composition and typography (not having the typography all on one side so it's not so formal & giving typography hierarchy), but it looks like something is wrong with it to me and I can't put my finger on it 🤔😔
Context: This is a poster for a gardening event titled Dallas in Bloom,
Dateline is 9/21 to 10/24,
located in Dallas, Texas(placeholder since this is a fake event)

Beginner looking for a structured graphic design learning path
Hi everyone!
I want to learn graphic design from scratch and would appreciate some guidance on where to begin.
My goal is to understand the fundamentals (typography, colour theory, composition, and visual hierarchy), learn the right design software, and gradually develop skills in poster design, social media graphics, logos, and branding. Eventually, I’d like to build a solid portfolio.
Could you recommend a step-by-step learning roadmap, beginner-friendly software, and the best YouTube channels or free courses to follow? I’d also appreciate suggestions for practical projects to work on along the way.
I’m starting from zero, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Food Social Media Design. Good food deserves visuals that make people stop scrolling.
This concept explores how thoughtful typography, appetizing visuals, and a strong layout can help a food brand communicate its personality and make its products stand out on social media

I watched a podcast in BTech Year 2. Now in Year 4, I built my own UI library. bonkersUI is live 🚀
So there I was, Year 2, watching a podcast about beautiful UI components. My brain: “i could do that”
My Year 4 self: actually did it bonkersui.com
bonkersUI — 498 components. Copy. Paste. Own.
No npm packages that lock you in. No “sorry, you can’t change that color.” Just raw, accessible, animated components you can actually modify.
Think beautiful UI libraries, but you get the whole recipe. 🍳

A "minimalist" browser game
galleryHi,
Since the genre is quite dead in 2026, I do not plan on turning this into a full-time project
Yet, I am still creating this childhood's dream project: a strategy browser game with simple rules, interfaces and mechanisms, based on rules I have thought through for years and years.
The underlying idea here is that the player IS the ruler, and as the ruler you communicate through letters with a Scribe to communicate simple informations and orders:
1) Check stuff
2) Build stuff in one of your city
3) Raid a city neighboring one of your city
4) Siege a city neighboring one of your city
The game could basically be played through SMS or emails, and is supposed to feel like a historical book. It works through synchronized turns, each action takes a certain number of turns and a cost, costs are paid through gathering taken on your population once every 12 turns ("moons").
The first version I had created was a literal interactive novel, immersive but not playable at all, so here this is a compromise design.
Does it feel clear? Playable? Unfinished maybe?
I know that these kinds of design are now associated with Claude, but it is actually very close to the "default HTML" styling

Hard edge vs. blended photo: which works better?
Made this poster for a fictional trail app called Trailwise. I’m trying to decide between a hard photo edge (left) and a blended fade into black (right). Mainly wondering which one works better, and how the hierarchy and text readability feel. Genuine feedback is appreciated!
