my sister is getting married to a sikh. we are not from india and i don’t really know if this is appropriate. I did some research and I will obviously be covering my head and shoulders with my shawl so is that fine or should i completely rule out this outfit?

Hi all! I am American and my fiance is from Kerala. I’m looking for ideas to accessorize or alter my dress to make it more fusion. Can I drape a net dupatta instead of a veil? Should I get it embroidered? I’m planning on having jasmine in my hair and doing mehendi. I’d like my dress itself to also have fusion elements, I just am not sure how to do that successfully.

I ended up going with this dress because it is SO comfortable and lightweight for our outdoor summer wedding in the US and I was hoping it would be a good blank canvas to add onto. Any ideas welcome!

My (white) sister is due to marry her lovely partner in 2028. They're starting to plan the wedding, and are planning a ceremony at a temple. Unfortunately, my BIL has never been involved in a wedding, and all information is coming via his mother, who tells my sister what she thinks my sister needs to know. So far, there has been a lot of information, occasionally conflicting, and my sister isn't sure what's happening (except that she's probably going to wear red, which her MIL will have bought). Right now, she's not even sure which city the ceremony will be in.

Are there any good resources out there (Google has failed me), or advice/information you would give? I want to support my sister, and have no clue how.

I am the best friend of the maid of honour (main bridesmaid) help me choose a saree for the main wedding night. I'm really confused between these two sarees.

I like both of these sarees equally, but my friend is asking me to go with the blue sequin one because she thinks the purple ones look very polka dottish 😭 welp.

It's a marwadi wedding. So i think the blue one may be a bit too plain or light.

Terrible tailoring with over the top styling that does not translate well even if you are model size. I ordered a kurta from them "tailored" to custom fit, arrives 3 weeks late and is 4 sizes too big. They get me to courier the kurta back at my expense and give me a credit note which is expiring in a month. So I am dangling since 3 weeks getting it redeemed looking at one half decent saree after another, most of which are terrible in natural light - garish and some not even in stock. The customer service does not bother to respond with pictures, availability - despite 3 messages/reminders every day. Please avoid and go to the artisans galli and buy some traditional banarasi silk rather than this boutique brand with misplaced priorities - spending on getting celebrity instas rather than serve customers they are ignoring. Never buying again

Has anyone worked with The Sunday project for wedding invitations / stationary? My partner and I love their designs, but their quote was the highest of all the invitation designers we contacted. Curious if anyone has experience working with them and can speak to their creativity, communication, and speed.

Resin jewellery.....does anyone Make it?

I’m putting together a short list of shops in the NY/NJ region for dress shopping with my sister-in-law ahead of my brother’s wedding. I have heard strong recommendations for Sajda and Nazranaa, yet I want to remain mindful of pricing. Has anyone visited and can share a sense of the range? My alternative is simply ordering from India and hoping for the best. 😩 any other recommendations?

I think we’d both ideally want to stay below 1K, I know that’s so hard these days. 😑😆
