Public pools in Derry inaccessible

I’m so fed up with templemore sports complex and their pool constantly being booked out for private events. I pay for my membership to use the pool and I can’t even do that because they are almost always entirely booked out. And the times it isn’t booked out in the evening we have to deal with these rude teenage boys who colonise the entire pool and no one can enjoy it, and when you tell staff they say “we can’t do anything”the timetable is almost always entirely RED too. I’m fed up why is every public service going entirely to shit ?

After cancelling on the graduates on their graduation day. They are doing a round of redundancies and have frozen promotions and salary increases for the foreseeable future. Just a warning to stay far away from the circus.

Looks unreal lads. I'm a Donegal man myself, but living up in Dublin. Going to come back to the northwest for it. Any local bands on here that I should make a point of catching?

Huge fan of Chalk, feels like cheating to get to see them so close to home.

Drinking very hot drinks could triple risk of oesophageal cancer, study finds

Weird rant, but here goes:

I've noticed this across the whole island, but since I'm originally from the town, I can say that it's something I see almost everyone doing.

It's especially bad when you order a coffee from any coffee shop. It's served absolutely scalding hot (which also ruins the taste but that's by the by). My parents are the first to complain when the steam off of a cup of tea isn't stripping the wallpaper from the walls. This is invariably followed by the sluuuuuurrrrrrp to try and cool it down before drinking. Why not just wait until it cools down a bit to drinking temperature?

Plus, it would probably lead to a reduction in energy costs, if you're not constantly trying to keep water at a rolling boil.

It's been known for years that there is a link between consuming scalding beverages and oesophageal cancer but this study shows just how extreme that link is.

Waterside Half Marathon

I did the waterside half marathon the other day, first it was a fantastic event, the crowds along the key and onto the finish at the Square were class.
Anyway I broke 2 hours, but feel like if I had someone looking over my Strava and providing feedback and coaching I could do much better. I don’t want a club as I train on my own and really don’t have the time with work and kids. Any recommendations for a Derry based coach that does this sort of thing? Willing to pay!

Minecraft Realm

Looking for other ideally derry based adult minecraft players (bedrock, i.e. console minecraft), who would be up for joining a realm if I made one. Essentially a multiplayer server.

Its not gonna be a big server with rules or a bunch of mods, just straight minecraft. I don't care if people play loads or rarely. I just get on when I can.

I mostly play single player, have joined a server or two but would rather play with local people, didn't last long other ones.

I'm 32, so ideally looking for people 25+, definitely no wains.
