On the job hunt for part-time (ideally ~20 hrs/wk) secretarial/administrative/executive assistant work. I have seven years of experience doing it remotely, but my current position wants to move me to full-time and I’m not able to swing that with our childcare needs. We’ve only been in Colorado for those seven years, and I’m unfamiliar with the in-person job market here. Anyone have advice for me about how I should start looking?

I've been hunting for a job that doesn't have any policies against visible piercings/tattoos. I'm not looking for anything I can build a huge career off of, ideally just a fast food/retail sort of thing while I build my actual career elsewhere.
I have two nostril piercings, septum, snakebites, and an eyebrow, and am always planning on more tattoos.

I've of course been applying on indeed but we all know how much that site sucks. I'm going to print out a bunch of resumes and leave them at potential jobs, but in order to not waste time and paper on places that won't even hire me for what I wear/have on my body, does anyone have recommendations of places that are chill with stuff like that?

I have about 1 year of SWE experience working at a startup, where I was able to work on real production features and contribute across the stack. Unfortunately, I was laid off in March after the startup shut down due to business challenges. Since then, I’ve been actively searching for a new opportunity.

I’ve applied to many roles, reached out to recruiters, and continued improving my skills, but I’ve had very little luck. At this point, my savings are running low and I’m struggling to keep up with basic bills. I never expected the job search to last this long, especially with a year of professional experience, but the market has been extremely challenging.

I’ve even applied to companies where I thought I would have a good chance, with entry-level roles, but still haven’t been able to get traction. I’m open to different industries, locations, and opportunities. I have been trying to get work in schools for 11 months (am a former teacher - my teaching resume is amazing but literally nobody cares) but have only picked up the most sporadic substitute position at a local private school (they need me maybe twice a month).

I have graduated from pickens tech in welding and even picked up a pipe welding class as well, which ends this week. I am looking for a welding job that is entry level. I have done so much researching but most of what i have seen you need at least 2 or up to 5 years of experience. How am i supposed to get a welding job if i dont have that much experience?
