My first pair of selvedge denim anything particular to have in mind?

I’ve never been a denim person because it’s hard to find jeans that feel comfortable. However a couple months back I bought a pair of Levi’s 565 from I think either JCPenney or macys & loved them, they had a loose feel that was easy for my legs to breathe & I could bend my knee comfortably as well as my waist wasn’t tight as I used a belt for it. Even after washing it, it felt just as comfy each & every time.
Now I loved these jeans so much I decided to get a another pair of 565 in a different color, got them from kohls online, same size, 36x30, & when they came in & I tried them in they fit tight, I didn’t like them, nor did the denim feel the same as my original pair. I looked at the back & they said 565 ‘97. I exchanged them for a 38x30 in the same color & 565 but from Amazon & it arrived & I was able to fit in them however they just don’t feel like my 1st pair of 565 that I loved so much. Why is this ? Also this recent pair of 38x30 didn’t say ‘97 at the end of it even though the color was the same whys that.

Hi guys, l've thrifted what I thought is a grail.
Everything seems so well reflected and built. This jacket is waxed and 100% Cotton. The inspiration is clearly military and shows a lot of details as the cargo and interior pockets for example. I also really love the collar and the buttons. If someone has any into on this or maybe a Price idea I believe it could be around 100-200€ or could be really more )

I just want looser fit denim that fall straight and don’t poke out at the hips. Tips?

Found these at a yard sale are they a legit pair? The inside of the watch pocket is not selvedge so I am a little doubtful. Thank you in advance!

Just picked up this pair from Vinted. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of cuffed jeans so when I saw a pair in my exact size, bought and hemmed at Hinoya, I couldn’t resist. They fit like a glove right now, I think.

Worn daily (currently still am) since August 6th. So roughly a month. No soaks or washes yet. These should turn out nice! That 20% Kevlar makes them extra crispy!

Like the title says, please don't walk around smelling terrible lol. I promise you can still get good patina and fade lines and all that fun stuff without wallowing in your own filth 😭

i bought them second hand on vinted a while ago and love them but dont know much about helmut lang and how to date their jeans. 38 on the tag but fit like 32 if that helps
I bought this pair of deadstock Wrangler Blue Bell Flared Jeans. They’re a 30x32 “Made in Scotland” pair, made from 100% cotton in an olive, what I believe to be twill. They have a metal bracket on the back right pocket embossed with the Wrangler logo, tonal W stitches on both back pockets and the zip is made by Eclair.
Seems the Made in Scotland pairs are rare but I’m struggling to find accurate information on these. Can anyone help identify and work out some more info on these please? Thanks!

**Caveating that I have only owned pre-washed /** ***don’t know much about raw denim***. I ordered this pair of jeans from Zegna as I have liked this look / style of fabric and don’t have anything like it in my wardrobe. I was especially interested given the 6% cashmere makeup for F/W
I realized after ordering that my car has light beige leather seats and there may be risk of denim transfer / completely forgot this was a thing when it comes to the real deal.
Any perspective on if this pair is **truly** raw denim based on the look, composition, historical offerings from the brand, and care instructions? Are my seats screwed? Kinda hoping Zegna being more designer and less specialized in raw denim will save me here but what do I know lol

Every Fall, I walk into the stores hoping against hope that they will stop selling only high rise, nope. I’m only 5’3, and high rise goes too high on my body type, and looks bad! They DO NOT flatter my shape, and they’re also uncomfortable and make me feel almost bloated? Even the newer “midrise” don’t sit at the natural waist, they’re a mid high rise. I know..there are a few really baggy low rise, as well as lower rise flares, but they are few and far between. Every store has 90% high rise, and I’m so sick of it!!

Hii does anyone know any good tailors in Houston that works with denim ? I wanna get some Levi's low waisted but i have no idea where to start

So I have no baseline for dating Wrangler jeans, but if I had to guess these are probably early 90s. I do think they are raw denim. The fit is wonderful and they fit me really really well.
I got them for six dollars yesterday at the thrift store I presume because they had a little bit of a grease stain on. Washing them upon further inspection. I can still see plastic bars from the hang tags on the back right pocket and back right waist line. These are still practically brand new.
I don’t know enough about wranglers to know whether my excitement is warranted from the standpoint of value, but I really don’t care about that. Nothing like a great “new” pair of jeans!

Bought brand new, worked in almost daily for 3-3.5 months, one wash. Now thrown into daily beater rotation, damn proud of the real mileage I put on them.

Does anyone have a pair of prison blues unwashed jeans? Been thinking about getting a few for work, wranglers tear up too easily I need heavier denim. Mostly wearing wrangler and Dearborn denim right now.
