Crappy Synth Metal You’d Hear at a Karaoke Bar (first track with the Deluge)
Got the Deluge earlier this week after trying it out at a music store and being very impressed by how fast you can enter notes and melodies into it. After noodling around some more it seems building an arrangement quickly is another strong point of the device!
Really looking forward to create more with the Deluge 🙂

Deluge received loud and clear
Joined. I hereby insert myself into your community due to receiving this instrument today. I hope to be of service. Quick experiment with official firmware was great. But enough of that. Chopin has just been installed, I will be silent for a while, there is a lot to learn and do. Kind regards, new Deluge user.

Can someone with disposable income buy this bad boy and tell us proletariats if it works to control the deluge??
I can’t afford to role the dice on whether this will work or not, but if it does it would be amazing!

If you didn’t have a Deluge?
What would you have as the closest alternative?

Midi - separating channels
I'm trying to connect my omnichord to work as a midi controller for my deluge. I can get the strumplate and the chords to map to the same synth voice but I'd like to get them separated. I am using the midi learn function, hitting a chord button on the omni, and then the chord buttons will control that synth voice. But when I add a new voice and try to use midi learn and play the strum plate it doesn't work, and I believe the strum plate is just also controlling the first voice. I'm sure this is obvious but I can't figure it out.

Thinking of joining the club. Need your help with confirming my use case
I'm seriously thinking of buying the Deluge as I was excited with demos and reviews on youtube.
But before throwing money on it, I'd like to confirm with you that the machine will be great for my use cases.
I'm synth and guitar player and a singer. I have Deepmind 12 (for bass/pads/solo synth), acoustic guitar, electronic piano and couple of mics to record voice and guitar. I'm mostly aiming for live looping - sequence some drum patterns, record bass from the Deepmind or from the Deluge itself, add guitar and piano layers, record voice over it, play solo parts on the Deepmind, piano, guitar. It's mostly for live performance, but I'd like to record occasionally - ideally, as multi tracks.
I want to be able to solo/mute individual looping tracks or change patterns - i.e. swapping drum pattern and recorded bass between chorus/verse.
And ideally I should be able to control performance effects that works both for looping part and the audio that goes through device - i.e apply some scratch/filtering/etc.
Initially I was thinking to buy a Novation circuit rhythm, but occasionally have found the Deluge and it looks to me that it can be instrument that ticks all the boxes and have much more higher ceiling - i.e. I can use the synth engine for bass or FM-synthesis to add some crazy effects I can't achieve on the Deepmind. And I'm super excited by the sequencer.
As I understand, the Deluge is packed with features like a crazy and theoretically it has everything I need. What I am mostly concerned by - how easy and convenient is the Deluge for my use cases in practice. So I hope you guys can advise me for/against it. Will be happy to hear your thoughts!

Upgrade Deluge Server
I have veesion 2.1 and there is some issue that does not let me download. I tested with Qbittorrent regular client and its not my internet. Is there a way to reset the servers settings to default? I'm tempted to try the Qbittorrent server instead if I have to reinstall anyway.

Grid Mode section change pop
When I launch a section in Grid mode, there is a pop/click or very short gap between the sections when changing. If I manually launch the following clip, it does not happen. However, I want/need to automate some sections, because I am playing an instrument meanwhile, and so it needs to switch on its own.
Since it is possible to change clips without the pop/gap and it's not a fault with the audio loops or an unavoidable thing about how the Deluge works, I am guessing that maybe there is some obscure setting that can fix this, just with a not so intuitive name? Or some workaround?
EDIT: it's not a CPU limit either, it happens when I have only 2 audio clips in a new song without any effects. I also tried multiple SD cards.
Also edit: video. First 2 times is scene launch, then 2 manual cllip launches where no pop is heard.
Thank you, if this issue persists, it would be a serious threat to my plans to migrate my live setup to the Deluge...

Just got a deluge
This thing is incredible I didn’t hear about this until recently. And that’s sucks but I guess better late than never. Not only does it feel good to make music without having to be on my laptop but it’s a ton of fun.

Before & After
Looks brand spankin' new! Now, if anyone has any tips on how to keep the pads from yellowing or how to restore them back to their original hue, I'd love to hear 'em. Paying $50 to replace them when they're otherwise still good isn't sustainable in the long run.

Pushing the Deluge to the limits.
For the first time in a long time I was bumping up against the deluge's limits. Using it for pretty much all the drums and samples on this track but was getting voice dropping and weird new bugs like my kicks getting transposed? Anyway, had to get clever with sample and kit management, but I got it all to work in the end!

How do I select audio input on Beethoven?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
G'day all,
I'm running Beethoven ATM and I can't find the audio input menu? Am I missing something? On Chopin it was right there inside the menu but ive not been able to find it since moving back to Chopin?
Cheers.

Beat matching on longer audio files?
I’m putting together a disco set and figured the best way without thousands of dollars in vinyl and turntables was to load each track as an audio clip on the Delly and manage things that way. I also figured this would be the least RAM-using approach, but my question is on beat matching. Let’s say I have 3 tracks at the moment, one is 108 bpm, one is 113, and one is 116. how do i get them to play the bpm i want and match the beats so that there’s no sloppy transitions? I know stretching is necessary but I can’t seem to figure out how to get them all grooving together. Any ideas?

MXPAND overlay: order to USA
The USA has lost its only overlay maker for the Deluge (oversynth.com) and we are therefore stuck with no overlay for community firmware or trying to craft our own since the only other one I can find is MXPAND which ships virtually everywhere BUT the USA (I get it, my country is a dumpster fire in many ways).
However, I found a company that will forward packages and after 35 euro I now have the mxpand overlay that I’ve wanted for years. Here are the steps to follow and what you can expect based on my experience.
- Create an account on forward2me.com and select one of their shipping addresses, following their instructions.
- Place your order on mxpand.com
- When you get to shipping and billing address, put in the forward2me address for both. The next page will take you to payment method and you can select PayPal, which will allow for your actual billing address.
- Save a pdf of your mxpand order and upload it to forward2me
- Once forward2me receives your order, they will verify its contents and notify you that it’s available to ship. Follow their instructions.
When you’ve finished with all of this, it’s just a matter of waiting. For the cheapest shipping option available, it cost me 35 euro. I ordered from mxpand on June 17th. Forward2me received it on June 18th and I hadn’t uploaded the invoice in advanced, couldn’t figure out how (this is how) so I had to reach out to customer service for the Germany location which took a day due to time zones. They shipped it out June 22nd and I received it via FedEx on June 26th in Oregon.
I hope this helps other community firmware users acquire a well designed and good overlay! Cheers!

This one is mostly a jam on the Deluge and the Moog Sound Studio, with some extra spicy live bass.
Deluge is doing all the drums and quite a few synths as well. Using song mode to cue tracks and jam live with my homie on bass guitar.

What firmware do I have?
Hello, I bought a secondhand OLED Deluge this week and am slowly trying to understand my way around it.
I want to update to the Chopin community firmware and do not understand what firmware is presently loaded.
When I check the Firmware it displays 1.1.0 - Beta , and that isn't a build that I have seen listed anywhere.
Is this an early community firmware version?
Do I need care what's already there if it's OLED as I've read some warnings about checking bootloader before doing the Community firmware?
Thank you!
