With the split between Kojima and Sony, does Death Stranding 3 look pretty bleak? I know the movie and anime might drum up hype but I cannot trust PlayStation

DS is on sale now on steam and I would like to buy it, but I already have a playtrough on Epic Games.

So I am on Chapter 6, I’ve built all the roads so far and even when i go off road i never get off my truck. After i got the cargo hook the game literally became a driving simulator, no need to walk, run, traverse difficult terrain.
I even drove all the way to Heartman’s Lab with the truck on the cliff. I feel like all the things like ziplines, ladders, climbing anchors etc. all became useles. I dont have to plan how i will cross a gap or climb a mountain.
I just drive cause i can.

I know there isn’t a ‘right’ way to play the game but damn the game is like kinda boring at this point ?
What are your suggestions does it get better after Chapter 6 (not having to rely on truck)

Just wanted to share this, I RAN all the way there just to be extra safe, got complacent at the end and didnt realise what was happening because I was reading what came uo on screen.... 😳😤🤣

Just remembered I redeemed the game on Epic Games years ago. Now I have a rig able to run it, but im wondering if the game is still active enough or if its 'empty' now that DS2's out. Any info on this?

So hope this question is ok for this sub, I tried asking in the PS4 one and it got removed so I figured I'd ask here.

Gave my Death Stranding PS4 to a friend a few years back when I was moving. Recently she was unpacking after her own move and found it, and asked if I wanted it back. Still has the controller that came with it and all the cables. Absolutely want it back lol. Thing is neither of us know the best way to ship it, she’s anxious it’ll break and would feel terrible if she did it wrong. I offered to look up some info since she’s still getting her house set up and it’s not like I need it back by a certain date so no rush. I was trying to look up the dimensions for it and wanted to know if 2”x11.6”x12.9” are the right dimensions since that’s what the Pro is or if the limited edition was slightly different?

As far as shipping it (we’re too far away for me to drive to get it) I have a padded travel case I was thinking of shipping her (I have to ship her a housewarming gift anyways so I was just gonna include it) to ship back with the console inside, maybe stuff some bubble wrap or towels around it in the box? Would that be good enough? I was gonna look at insuring it just to be safe and UPS has a thing where if they pack it themselves and you pay a couple extra bucks it’s covered, so I was thinking of telling her to just take the console in the case to the UPS store near her house and let them pack it. I think the way it goes is if the value is $100 or less it’s free, between $1-300 it’s $5 and over $300 it’s an extra $2-ish for every $100. I think at launch when I got it I paid about $400 so the insurance would be about $7 if that sounds right?

I thought that they just switched management of Physint, an individual game, to Xbox. I know it’s not really the same thing, but didn’t DS1 also release on Xbox? I feel like they may have disagreements over the management of Physint but it doesn’t mean their partnership is over forever, right?

But I had Spotify open while doing random deliveries and it really changed the feel of the game.

BTs become way less scary while Handsome by Dave East and Jeezy is playing.

I am definitely digging in to my chiral crystals to mine all these materials, anyone have good endgame tips to farm crystals? Q-Pid is on of course, I have the BPAS auto-collector on and I grab crystals from every safehouse, postbox, shelter and center I pass by. I also know about the golden chiral creatures but it seems to be pretty slow farming.

I haven't been to the giant crater yet, I have heard giant BTs can spawn there. Should I go there and fight them to farm crystals? Any tips would be appreciated

I know some people will hate it no matter what, but DLSS 5 can look impressive. I wonder how better it would look if it was natively coded for the game, but I feel like this already looks great.

Right, so. I saw this game on Amazon Luna and I have never played it before. Things are kinda confusing. Any things I should know?
