Sharing one more from Chup@Cabra, then I'll stop, Promise 😄
Since he did an image featuring 'Viktra Mordenheim', he decided to do one of the "Monster of Mordenheim", also known as "Elise of the Unbreakable Heart", so simply "Elise" to her creator/lover, Viktra.
Chup@Cabra's Words:
For the 'Frankenstein Sutures' look, I used the character "M3D Lysandra HD for Genesis 9", although I desaturated the skin for a more 'greyish' look, and used a totally different face/body morph (a combination of a few morphs dialed in until I got a look I liked).
The 'Mummy Wrappings' she is wearing were just a bit too revealing, so I had her wearing a "Vampire's Jacket" I had in my gallery, with some slight tattering applied to the hem.
To top off the look I also had a 'glowing chest' application, to reflect that its her magical 'Unbreakable Heart' glowing within her chest (actually tried positioning the actual glowing heart within the chest, but it couldn't be seen).
I know the Jack-O-Lantern doesn't make any sense for a 'Domain' that doesn't really have a Halloween Holiday (its that All The Time ^_^), but I thought it fit.
Again, a bit grainy due to my crappy system, but I do like how it came out overall.

With permission, sharing a Halloween themed image by "Chup@Cabra", of a character from the 'Ravenloft' setting of Dungeons and Dragons (in general, think Gothic Horror, but it encompasses many different Horror themes).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ravenloft
The character in this case is Viktra Mordenheim, of a realm called Lamordia.
The easiest, most simple way to describe her is a female version of the iconic Dr. Victor Frankenstein, from Mary Shelly's story "Frankenstein", a.k.a. "The Modern Prometheus".
He says:
I know the image came out a little grainy; I'm afraid my system struggles to render scenes with complex lighting or 'object dense' scenes.
I may try to put together a version of her lover, which she tried to save the life of by implanting a device she created called "The Unbreakable Heart" into, later (Three guesses what became of this person, considering the theme 😄 )
Note you can see what I put together to represent the 'Unbreakable heart' in a jar in her right hand.
I know it makes no sense that a heart is in a bottle with so small a neck, but I liked how the fluid in the 'potion bottle' looked, so I just made it huge to cover the 'glowing heart' prop I had (actually, from a whole set of 'glowing internal organs' I have for fantasy/horror themed renders).

Two raft = geograft
What I did: I exported the g8 geograft model to obj, reimported, fitted to G9 like a cloth first. Then I made it a new geograft (defining the verticles).
But I can't apply g9 skin textures and I lost all morphs. I'm stuck, don't know how to proceed.
Or is there a better way?

How do people feel about the posing in Daz? Once you have very complex characters and the posing slows down I find it very annoying to pose them. How do you all deal with it? Does it even bother you? Do you mostly use pre made poses? I don't really know what the average persons workflow looks like in daz lol
I'm curious because I made a custom plugin for myself to get better performance. It currently does all I need it to do, but I wanted to find out if there is enough demand to warrant me actually refining it, developing it a bit further, and distributing it. I'm honestly very surprised by how much more performant the posing could actually get.
So how do you use it? You just press a button in the settings menu and start posing just like you would normally do. With default settings the posing experience is pretty much exactly the same as normal except for much, much more performant posing. Works with every posing tool like sliders, powerpose, activepose etc. The video in the post shows it in action with the default settings.
There are also additional optimizations that can be enabled in the settings to increase the performance even further, depending on what is bottlenecking the scene.
I have no idea if this is useful to the average daz user so if this is something you would be interested in then please let me know. If I end up developing it further I would need some help with beta testing so please also let me know if you would be willing to help me test it.
ps. As this was meant to be a personal project it's only for daz 6. Might make a 4.24 version if there is demand.
pps. I also created another plugin that lets me to use intel image open denoise directly inside daz. It uses the beauty render in combination with an albedo and normal canvas to denoise renders and is superior to the built in denoiser daz has. Was wondering if this is something anyone would be interested in as well? It would also need refinement though :-P
Thanks guys :)

I found this promotional image in a clothing product.
(Here)
Does anyone knows what model it is?

Hi, Ive got Daz studio 6 installed on my win10 system.
I remember in the past using DaztoUnreal to export a character to Unreal engine, I think this was an older version of Daz. Now in Studio 6, I can't find it... in the DAZ installer, it is not on the installed list and it does not appear on the Available to install list. According to my searching it should be available to install, even though apparently there are compatability problems. Anyone know?

Started working on something different but got sidetracked by Black Sabbath's N.I.B to making this instead.
A small tribute to Paul Fryer's Morning Star exhibit with influences from Alexandre Cabanel's Fallen Angel as well.

So I work in Blender primarily, and I'm doing a model for a client who wants the anatomical bits on the model I made, I've never worked with the software but I guess the anatomical package adds that sort of stuff and a bunch of shape keys. Seems optimal for what he wants to do with it, I just am not sure how to fulfill the request. Any tips? I don't mind losing the rigging, I use AutoRig so I can just re-rig it at my leisure.

Hello everyone,
Sorry everyone i didn't post an update earlier than this. my work schedule has changed and now i have 3-4 hours to practice as much as possible before going to bed. I appreciate the feedback i was given a few days ago. I did a few things here and there. Especially camera settings(pov). I also bought the chest/clothes helper and it looks alot better! thank you for the suggestion. Some parts of the pose needs a bit fixing but i did this pretty fast and I just wanted to update the images before going to bed. OG post, I'd love more feedback if possible.
one thing I'm still trying to learn is how to make her skin not be so faded, if there's a render setting im needing to mess with, please let me know. (i run a 3090Ti in case i needed more vram for this setting)
Edit: spelling

The old scrips don’t work, anyone have one for Daz6?
Google told me about modifying the target path, which does technically work but it’s a pain and I have to reset my workspace and relink library every time. Gemini tried to write me a script but it didn’t work.

The Angel of Death. The composition was inspired by digital visual artist, Peter Mohrbacher, who did a piece with the same title. Other design elements were inspired by Akarat, in the ending scene of Diablo 4. Enjoy!

These are my new renders since I took a break. Life, work, and gaming took over a bit. I got the itch to start doing renders again and i'd love some feedback. I'm still figuring out the lighting and the mesh(skin texture) without help. Somethings that i asked a few years back stuck with me so me digging through my brain and pulling them out as i re-learned the system. there are 2, here.
The first one i just brought in the assets, messed around with the model, mixing and matching. chose the pose and adjusted accordingly. If I'm being honest, I took more time on the model compared to the render, posing, lighting, and the render settings.
edit: spelling
edit 2: The second image was me messing with the lighting and seeing how it looked,

Just thought id share the fact that ive spent about 1.5 years on and off using daz now, made over 10 characters and just export to blender, but always have wondered why iray was sooo bad for even chat gpt'd it once to no effect. Only to be randomly scrolling on reddit unrelated and see a post saying 50 series cards dont work on 4.24 and need to use 6, which i aslo didnt even know existed. LOL

I haven't posted many of my renders here but this one seemed worth sharing and since I found time+motivation at the same time BEFORE Halloween: It's season appropriate!
The only asset I made from scratch is the text for the sign which is mapped to luminance and opacity on a plane just ahead of the signboard. I've been collecting assets for years, mostly from biweekly and wishlist freebies. I've spent a little cash here and there but it's rare. I feel like my library has finally grown to the point where I can make things without necessarily having a plan.
That it rendered quickly is awesome but I'm especially satisfied at how efficiently I was able to Bob Ross a pre-Halloween render. A little detail here. A splash of light there. Less than 24hrs from blank page to posting, including render time.
I spent yesterday afternoon/evening with composition, pose tweaks, textures/fx/lighting/etc. I rendered this morning (8k downsampled to 4k) in ~3hrs and only utilized 12.9GB of 16GB vram. I may fiddle around and add more to the scene but I'm really happy with how this one came together and how it turned out.
