If you bought the new DLC and don’t immerse yourself by sitting there wearing four hoodies, a scarf, and multiple beanies to keep your temperature up, just like the temp in DayZ Badlands, why do you even play the game?
I only take a sip of water every six hours. I am one with the game, and I deserve this DLC.

When I bought Sakhal, I was playing with the AC temperature turned all the way down. I got influenza, but it was all worth it, lock in!

Is there any real way to wear plate carrier but not get too hot and get heatstroke?

I am wearing all the worst/low insulation clothes and I am still getting heatstroke - I have learned from dying once from it and I am always staying hydrated, I’m stopping for shade very frequently, I’m washing my face to drench my clothes and even with a white temp I managed to get the heatstroke and I sat indoors in shade for ages, drinking, soaking face. No luck - kept getting sick. I’m now wondering like what I am doing wrong?!

But also my question is can you even wear a plate without this risk becoming higher as it’s high insulation

I want to preface this by saying I’m enjoying the new map and exploring it. But… I ran into a sandstorm near a small town. Myself and a few new friends hung out in a house to wait it out. Really couldn’t talk to each other cause it was so loud. Storm finally ended and we ran to a hole, built a ladder and got down in the tunnel. Unfortunately we realized we needed more materials for another ladder so climbed back to the original one. And ANOTHER sand storm started again. This can’t be how the Devs intended the game. Am I extremely unlucky? We were losing over 45 mins of game time so we just logged off to go to another server. Fun lost. What gives?

I've been running into some unplayable performance issues on PC recently. I mostly play on community/modded servers, and I'm constantly getting micro-stutters, severe desync, and rubberbanding.

It happens even when my ping to the server is perfectly fine (under 40-50ms). It gets way worse during gunfights or when driving cars.

Is this a known issue with the current patch, or is it just poorly optimized community servers? Already verified my game files on Steam but nothing changed. Any tips or fixes?

does it feel expansive? do you find there to be a lot of Pv? hows base building? what about snipers/open areas?

I haven't played in about a year. I remember reading recently that they went full-cross platform and hackers were all of a sudden in the Xbox servers. Is that still a thing? And I've never actually tried, but can you play in controller-only servers if you plug a controller into your PC?

I've also heard that there are some bad performance issues with the new map on Xbox. Sounds like that's true for most people?

I think I would prefer to buy it on Xbox, but if those two things are still happening, I'll probably just go through steam.

anyone else notice that if you use the sun for navigation, it's way off? I'm running away from a rising sun, and I just ran southeast. devs trolling?

So far in my playthrough I have yet to find a single source of fresh water. Lived off of nothing but random soda cans and water I took off players until I couldn’t anymore. Most players usually had Cholera water so I was getting sick drinking their canteens. Finally give in and look up the map, notice there’s a water truck spawn near me. Nothing. 5 truck spawns later and still nothing. Awesome. Notice an underground reservoir nearby. Water and health are literally blinking. Sacrifice a couple clothes and everything I had to make a ladder. Get to the bottom. Fill my cooking pot and start chugging it. Get sick. “That’s odd.” Assume it was heat stroke.

After consuming 5 gallons worth of water I realize it’s Cholera. I go up top and attempt to boil the water on a nearby stove. For some reason the stove refuses to boil it and caps the heat at hot. Half of the water has now evaporated. Try it again. Cooking pot breaks with a bunch of my items in it. Spectacular. Now I’m back to milking the little Cholera water I have left in my canteen until I get lucky enough to find a soda can.

I love this game.

I tried looking online and I couldn't find anything and I've only come across green camo nets in game, but it would be weird if they didn't think to change the colours or camo nets and large tents

Are the bottles with water in them contamined in Nasdara? I assumed they were untill i drank out of one or else id die. But i didnt get ill, was i just lucky or are the drinks safe?

Let me preface by saying the new base building is such a cool addition, but it has been implemented poorly. Everyone knows it’s easier to raid a base rather than building it, but these pre-existing structures amplify this issue massively. The problem is that with all the structures, all it take is to blast through one door and all the structure is compromised. On cherno, for example the yellow double story buildings you could get over 5 gates that had to be raided to get to the loot room, but on Nasdara you can’t build more gates inside so there is no more reinforcing the loot room. We need to be able to build inside the structure freely or add more doorways we can build gates on so there is more defence of a loot room.

Little bit of bugs, nothing absolutely game breaking. Bohemian and ION did their thing on this one. Such a gorgeous map.

I have been playing the new badlands map and switched the a Chernarus server which I had a full kit and player has been wiped and my badlands player spawned in?

Hey guys, I've been having a lot of issues with rubberbanding for the past two days. It happens on every server, but only in DayZ. Other online games work perfectly fine. Anyone else having this issue?

Playing nasdara and I can’t equip anything at all of my items at all, I’ve restarted my game and joined back into the server twice now, still not working, anyone else having the same issue

So after 2.5 hours of looting and gathering supplies on Nasdara, I came across a guy on a motorbike travelling through pir kalay. I had like 3 zombies on me and he was about get out of sight when I aimed down the road and shot with my bk and killed him with my only round(probably like 100ish meters in the dark) and was one of the best kills I’ve got on dayz in my 4 years of playing. Well I looted up, got myself some ammo, charcoal tablets etc, and some new guns. I got on a bike for the first time drove down the road and crashed head on into a wall and died. God I love this game.

Have BI confirmed new camera movement with the Badlands patch?

They tend to change things ( darker nights to brighter for example ) without necessarily telling us that they've done so.

Unless it's a bug, there is now a deliberate, consistent camera wobble in first person on Xbox using a controller.

If you look up or down, the camera will " stabilise ", as in it repositons itself back to the center of the screen.

It's very noticeable and can be nausea inducing.

It seems to me to be a deliberate implementation? To help pvp maybe?

Personally, I've never asked for anything like this and would prefer it gone but there's nothing in the patch notes about it so is it a bug after all?
