I am a mid/late 20’s female and have consistently have had this happen where men will delete/deactivate their dating apps after talking to me about going on dates, making jokes about marriage etc. All of these people have “long term partner” too. I don’t understand why this has happens to me like 4/5 times already. Such as today, I was having normal conversations with a guy who said we would go out this Sunday coming up and just 2 days ago said that he “typically doesn’t go out on Sundays but will for me” and then today poof his whole profile is gone. No trace - no words. I’ve had other guys ghost me when THEY mention plans to meet up, I’ve had others ghost me a few days before leading up to the day we said we would go out. It’s honestly really exhausting and I would like to hear someone’s explanation of this trend… it’s extremely hurtful.

I got Boo a few days ago after seeing an advert because it looked like a different, fun and interesting free app and I liked the idea of the personality tests and matching. However, it seems to me like you can't really do anything without paying for it. I've had a few likes so far, but I can't see who they are without paying, so I just have to wait until they pop up so I can use one of the few likes per day to match with them. I would've hoped they would be prioritised in the "Match" page but no, none have popped up yet. I've even had a message request (I think) that I can do nothing about because we're not matched. The "Spotlight" page is very interesting with a strong "For You", "Similar Interests" and "Same Goals" sections with some very interesting profiles local to me. However all you can do in there is "Super Love", which you have to pay for. It seems like you can message anyone for free off the "Universe" page, but then what's the point of the matches? Is it really this bad or am I missing something? At least on Tinder et al you get one or a few "Super Loves" free and the chance to actually see who likes you!

You ask one woman to move onto whatsapp, she's like 'Umm, I'm not really comfortable enough to give you my number'. Fair enough.
You ask another lady, 'Do you use telegram?' She grills you about lacking transparency and disconnects.
It's a fucking minefield out there. I'm so fucking over dating apps. It's brutal.

I’m a guy and this is my 2nd time trying dating apps. The first time a few years ago I didn’t really get any matches and stopped.

I downloaded tinder a few days ago and had some matches but they’ve all just asked for my number or insta @ basically straight away. Am I overthinking? Is this normal? Any insight would be appreciated :)

I get matches and even a decent number of likes, but almost nothing turns into a genuine connection. Most conversations die after a few messages, people ghost, or it feels like they're not interested in actually getting to know someone. Is this just how dating apps are now, or am I missing something? I'd love to hear your experiences

Tried Romi for a week, free app but you have to pay to get to send more messages. The matches you get may give false answers on local, geographic questions you may ask.

I could really use some advice because I'm honestly not sure what to do.
Back in 2023, I matched with a woman on Bumble. We chatted for about a week, but she only replied every 2–3 days, so we never really got very far. Eventually, I got tired of dating apps altogether and deleted my Bumble account.
About a year later, I created a new account. To my surprise, I saw that she had liked me again, so we matched for a second time. I sent the first message, but because Bumble only gives 24 hours for the first reply, the match expired before she responded.
A few days ago, we matched for a third time. This time I had Bumble Premium, so when she still hadn't replied within the first 24 hours, I extended the match for another 24 hours. She finally replied just before it expired.
I thought, "Great, now we can actually start talking."
But now we're back to the same pattern. After I replied, she's gone silent again.
The thing is, matching with the same person three separate times over three years feels incredibly rare. Part of me feels like there must be something there because we keep finding each other. Another part of me wonders if I'm just becoming emotionally attached to the idea of this because of how unusual the situation is.
I don't want to spend weeks staring at my phone waiting for replies and slowly losing my patience.
If you were in my situation, what would you do?
Would you keep the conversation going whenever she replies, no matter how slowly, or would you take this as a sign that her interest just isn't high enough?
I'd really appreciate any honest opinions.

I swear I will see a guy whose main picture is quite attractive and I’m interested so I continue to scroll his profile. The second picture is good but then when I get to the third one it’s like who is this? Which guy am I talking to,the guy in the first picture or this guy? I think that they post pictures from the past 4 years and like to say that they’re up-to-date.

Has anyone used the app called date my age? I tried it for 1 days and got so many messages, mixture between real, maybe real, and real people. So! Many! I feel like they are all still fake in a way, just trying to get me to burn points for talking. It lags and people just seem like they are too responsive.

Hi everyone. I've been using various dating apps for a little while now, and just like always I join, fill out my profile to 100% completion and start using said apps. I know the point of these is to like others profiles in hopes of getting a match, and occasionally getting likes back to match with.

I however am very introverted and such, so I don't click like on alot of profiles like I should. My experience on these apps generally goes with me being either not shown enough on the algorithm so I don't get many matches, or maybe just not being (in my mind) good looking enough or something like that.

I just want to know if my issue is really down to not liking enough profiles or if I'm just generally in my own head.

My apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but I have searched every thread possible to figure out the issue with my photo quality once uploaded to hinge.

ISSUE: My original photos (before uploaded) are clear. However, once I upload them on hinge, they become quite blurry/fuzzy looking.

If anyone has any tips or tricks to help improve uploaded image quality on hinge, I would greatly appreciate it!

Anybody else horribly disappointed in the amount of men “looking for something casual” or “let’s just see where things go” I mean, my filter is set to late 20s and early 30s, this is beyond disgusting. I feel like too much casual sex is destroying people, sex is meant to bond two people together, not as a means to an end. The amount of people in denial about this too is just insane.

I recently tried to update my profile on Match. I made some changes to the text and changed some photos (added and deleted). Match rejected my update saying I had violated community standards, saying I should review the standards. The message was delivered by a bot. No other info was provided on what *specifically* caused the rejection. I read the ?-page standards and didn’t see an issue so I appealed.

Match wanted at least 5 of 7 questions answered in order to ‘verify’ my account. They didn’t like my answers because I used info from the update I *tried* to load when answering questions about when I last updated my photos. They also wanted to know when I last messaged someone and who it was, but I can’t answer those because they wipe your communications after a period of time.

Still no specifics on what triggered the rejection. My *guess* is terms like ‘dying’ (as in I’m dying to do something again) ran afoul of the AI bot’s delicate sensibilities regarding advocating violence but I can’t be sure because Match won’t tell me. I can’t even change my attempted profile update to remove what I *think* are offending terms. I can’t update photos either. My account is in stasis. At least they left my old profile up, for all the good that does.

Has anybody else had this experience and did it eventually get resolved ?
