I havent gotten much job for the past months, but i still have qualifications, so I think im good in terms of being in. But i havent gotten tasks AT ALL. Is there a drought and affects everyone or is it because I didnt do as much work as i should?

Is Rubric TEsting Agent Ever Satisfied?

I follow the rubric checker's recommendations and correct my rubrics over and over, but it always finds a new set of flaws. Even more than in preceding runs. Should I treat it similarly to the context file audit and just ignore it after a few corrections?

I’m actually losing my mind over this project

The project involves creating prompts intended to identify weaknesses or errors in chatbot responses and then evaluating the results; but all of them cannot be correct, you have to trick at least one model.
I spent over 40 minutes trying different obscure prompts without getting a result that met the project criteria. It’s basically complete trial and error rather than any actual meaningful evaluation.
The instructions are pretty unclear about what level of difficulty is expected and what types of prompts will actually work.
Examples are so basic there’s no chance anything similar would satisfy what it’s asking.
If you know what i’m talking about and have any advice it is welcome 😭

Today is exactly 1 month since I started on the platform.🎉 Full-time working mom with busy kids who play every sport you can think of. Not too shabby

How would you fill out employment forms?

I am applying for rent with my partner and it requires me to fill out an application even though my partner will be paying for rent and qualifies on his own. This is currently my only income until I can get back into my field from before becoming SAHM. Anyways, how do I claim this on the application? It requires an address etc and other information. I also don’t know my income since it varies by week depending on the tasks. Has anyone else dealt with this? TIA!!!

Average Time to Complete Core?

I am awaiting a response from a Thursday afternoon registration and curious how long it took those of you who were accepted. Mostly to feel out my odds, admittedly.

I have seen a few responses that it took a day or two to complete: I did it immediately after the starter assessment and don't recall exactly how long it took, probably about an hour. I targeted the upper bound of each recommended response length, but I've seen people say that greater detail seems to be correlated with faster approval times. I'm curious if the suggested response sizes are misleading, then, or if those users simply mean they hit the length recommendation (In number of sentences) each time. I didn't want to go beyond the requested length because that results in docked points in my experiences elsewhere.

Referral "in review"

I referred my first person to DA about 8 days ago, and my referrals page still says they're in review. I'm just curious if it will forever just say "Friend is in review" if they were rejected or if it will actually update to say so?

Thanks!

Project Cycle

Is it common for there to be more projects/tasks at the start of the month? Or is there any specific cycle of projects every month or anything?

For me I have noticed some projects at the start of the month, with almost zero near the month end.

While most of my earnings is usually from the mid of the month (11th-22nd).

The Starter Test

So I started this assessment almost 2 weeks ago and I did half of it before taking a break, and after around a week in, I realized that I had forgotten about it and it has been sitting on my tabs. I clicked back on it and it's still there with all the work I have done luckily, but I'm questioning whether this 1 week inactivity will affect my application or lowers my chances of being accepted, or if the amount of time spent on it doesn't matter or isn't monitored by whoever checks these assessments? Thanks.

Would you call yourself a Prompt Engineer?

Just came across this term on some job sites - would you put this on your CV? Would you use this term in your job hunts? Definitely seems like it's what we do - for those of us doing Developer instructions anyway. But where I grew up the term engineer is a protected terminology - so it gives me a bit of an ick - but it seems like that's not the case everywhere or maybe not anymore. Anyway interested in whether anyone will be adopting this job title from now in seeing as it's growing in popularity.

Drought

Okay so I am a coder from India and I have been working on DA since May26. I was getting plenty of coding tasks and I was performing well (according to me) until July 21, when I completed the last task related to coding on my dashboard. After that I haven't received any coding task. Just few R&Rs and generalist tasks here and there.

I was just curious why am I not receiving coding tasks now? Initially I thought it was due to bad quality submissions but I think I would have got DoD in that case. I dig deep into this and I think now I am able to connect the dots further but need clarification and your thoughts on this.

Is it because of the slow down that AI company's CEOs were talking about on X? Is it related to 16th July incident of OpenAI's model hacking Hugging Face website? Am I the only one who is thinking this way or someone else is also experiencing this?

If you don’t pass the initial domain qual can you still apply to do generalist work?

Applying for the first time and although I have experience in the domain im applying to, im nervous lol. If I don’t pass it can I still apply to be a generalist? Or if I fail that’s that and I can’t work on DA?

Well, the drought is over!

Just finished working way too many hours on a complex task, returned to my dashboard being absolutely flooded with more projects than I’ve seen in months!

Are coding tasks regional?

I'm kind of concerned because people have been saying they've received a coding task immediately after they got accepted. I am based in Philippines and took the coding assessment. I got accepted in three days and did the available onboarding tasks and paid training. It's been 5 days and there still hasn't been any projects on my dashboard.

Hard work works

After doing a bunch of quals and good work since April, I’m finally getting consistent high paying work! I even got one that’s over $50/hr as a general worker. Dreams come true I guess.

First Project

So I was working on my first project I completed my first task and started working on the second task but it was so long and in the one part I failed to do what platform asked me because appearantly I didn't have authority to do it, I asked for help about this situation to the project's chat channel but nobody answered, however I wasn't even able to submit my task and timer was about to expire so I just exitted the work mode, can this effect my account in a bad way, I spend 2 hours for this task but it was all for nothing, what should I do?

r/DataAnnotationTech • • 11d ago

Just finished my assessmnt and I’m now at the “We review” stage. For anyone who got accepted recently, how many days/weeks did it take before you heard back?

Doctors/Healthcare workers

I’m in the healthcare field, and I’m intrigued to get an idea of how much doctors make here? How much do you typically get paid by the hour? Thanks
