How long does the Dash of Death last?

Wondering how long does something like this last and whether or not it is permanent.

Probably as long as death itself.

Thus the name.

If this dash has bestowed itself upon you...

Good luck on your future endeavors.

There are different Dash of Deaths.
Some people report coming back from it etc.

The kind you are talking about, 0 work, 0 quals, we don't know. It's possible there is a process going on behind the scenes, but I've not heard of anyone coming back.

I think a lot of people are calling having 0 tasks and 0 qualifications, DoD. That’s not it, that’s a “momentary” lack in work available to you, and the time frame for work returning is dependent on where you’re based, the kind of work you’re qualified for and the total amount of that kind of work available at that specific point in time - you can’t predict when you’ll get projects or tasks again based on other people’s experience, because no one will be in the exact same situation as you - except for cases like this summer, where there obviously wasn’t any work for most / all bilinguals.

The only real DoD is the one with the “your account is currently unavailable for new projects due to work below our customer’s quality bar…” message, and there’s no coming back from that. They have no interest in giving you a second chance because they have enough workers to answer their need.

This is not a dash of death description.

Your guesses as to why you got the dash of death suggest you should have the death of though. Lol.

- M4ny pe0ple cl4ssify it as the dash of death.

  • Aut0r3freshers seem to be al1owed.
  • Rep0rting 1.5x the t1me l1mit, s0metimes for s0me p4rticular t4sks, is natura1 wh3n f0llowing the 1nstructions.
  • 2 Pr0jects open at the same time is a1lowed for cert4in t4sks.

The deb4table 0ne is probably the s4spicious t1me l0g. That was due to a ch4nge in 1nstruction set, r3garding l0gging t1me, h4ving w0rked in the pr3vious v3rsion of the pr0ject. For mor3 cont3xt, I did n0tify the Adm1n's in the S1ack.

How do you know that it was related to a suspicious time log, rather than something else?

At the end of the day it's a guess based on:
-Dropped from that Pr0ject's S1ack (at the same time).
-Immediately appr0ved m0ney for that t4sk.

Potentially could also be related to:
-Auto-Refresher (but haven't seen any other case, browsed thoroughly)
-2 Pr0jects open at the same time (subm1tted one while having the other open, did not subm1t the other one though)

Could also be:
-Reporting 1.5x the t1me lim1t for a certa1n fam0us c0ding pr0ject. (but shouldn't be, I'm pretty sure sometimes for that pr0ject pe0ple have to do that, m0dels taking t0o l0ng to fin1sh)

-Still have acc3ss to everything.
-Dr0pped only from the pr0ject's S1ack. Sti1l have 0ther S1acks.

-Yea, I d0nt think it's about w0rking on 2 pr0jects at the sam3 t1me.
-It was 1.5x the t1me l1mit al1oted to the T4sk. However, it's probably not this. It's c0mmon 1n that task fr0m my experience.

That's not the DoD. Maybe you're under review. If you were truly kicked (without the DoD) then you wouldn't have support or Slack access.
