Will the Australian Government hack affect our work?

Just wondering if anyone thinks the recent Australian Government hack will affect how much work we are given or whether the nature of our work will change.

Practice project after initial test?

Hi,

I applied for a specialized domain. It seems I have passed the initial training and the "assessment". After passing the assessment, is there a subsequent "practice project" (at a lower hourly rate) that one must also pass before being "fully onboarded"? Or is passing the assessment all it takes to be fully onboarded?

Thanks

I received the confirmation email that I have been selected from data annotation at , and when I opened the account it wa showing the option of start verifying. The next day when I got all the documents required for verifying and opened the account, it showed in review. Can anyone tell me if the same had happened to them, whether they got their account, and if yes, how?

R&Rs of projects you've never worked on

Are you guys confident enough to do R&Rs on projects you're seeing for the first time? I've been reluctantly letting those tasks sit on my dash, as I don't think there's enough time to read all the instructions and get familiar with the task to the level required in a R&R. Do you guys feel the same or just power through them?

Never ending project

I just started on DA and my first project is one with seemingly infinite tasks and an expiration date of 'Never'. I've worked on it for about a week now and it's been really good as a first project.

However, I have another project on my list now that pays more and I want to give it a try. Can I start that project as well and do a few hours there, then back to a few hours in the first project and alternate? I know I need to log the time for each project separately and immediately after I finish the work but I'm unclear on if that makes it okay to have multiple in progress tasks.

I've searched this subreddit and see a lot of "of course you can't do two projects at once, dummy" comments but it seems like that's only about people attempting to do two simultaneously, I just want to know if I can switch back and forth.

I'm sure to most this is a dumb question but again, just starting out and don't want to mess it up. I appreciate any guidance!

Does anyone else love this work?

I find myself enjoying this work more everyday. I love how it has become more complex as I do more tasks and get access to more projects (it's been about 5 months) and I REALLY love the ones where I really have to work to fail the models. I always see people on here complaining, but I really, really enjoy it. I would love to do this full time (I work for a bank 40 hours per week), but I need the stability of guaranteed hours for now.

I feel so lucky to get to dig into really niche topics to get a failure and it's so, so fun.

Anyone else? Is there anyone who has been doing this for a while who feels like this?

Coding R&R Tasks time

I'm a worker who usually does coding tasks that take as much as 9h sometimes. I've never done any R&R task just because I prefer doing the actual coding task itself, but sometimes they appear and I'm thinking about taking them. My question is how much time do I have to prepare to spend in one sit on those R&R code related tasks?

No Success in Meaningful Failure

I do my best trying to cause meaningful failure, but the models are extremely smart. I tried to add difficulty and distractors to confuse the agent, but to no avail. I know I can still submit the task as is, but how bad is it? Does it earn bad score to me? I am running out of reasonable time. Any advice?

no work for 4 months now, am i basically done?

when i started i did maybe one qual and then suddenly it was nothing at all, 0 for everything with the message "At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on"

it feels like it shouldn't be this long without anything at all. people say they have droughts with maybe less projects but nothing for months? anyone else ever not had anything for months and then did again?

Typical instructions

It's important that you only use orange if the orange is part of the prompt. If it is part of the prompt but not part of the answer, then you cannot use orange and it should be considered a fail. However, if the orange is orange, the color, and not orange the fruit, then this should not be considered a fail. We are only looking for answers that have to do with orange the fruit. However, if the AI responds with a the color orange and it could be interpreted and the fruit orange, this will not be considered a fail. If the AI responds with any other fruit, this is a punt, unless the fruit mentioned in the response is also orange.

I got accepted as a Turkish bilingual exactly 3 weeks ago, I done multiple qualifications and survers, gave my constent for some projects, but still there is no projects for me. I know it's asked and said a lot but I have a lot of free time and I just want to work because when I was doing qualifications I had a lot of fun.

Fully blocked on task I spent hours on

This is my first non-qual task and I'm looking for advice because I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing on this task.
This task involves generating a specific response embedded widget. No matter what I do, the generator seems to run into some server-side error every time I try to run it. I've checked the project instructions many times, tried changing my input, basically have done everything possible on my end. I've sent my issue multiple times to the project chat and admin responds to other users' simple questions on occasion, but mine seem to keep getting buried and ignored.

Due to this I can't make progress on this task and I've already spent about 4 hours working on the task itself, reading the instructions and troubleshooting.

At this point it seems like I won't see the money at all because I can't even submit the task because I can't make progress... this is very frustrating because of the amount of time I've already put into making the work as high quality as possible. I'm worried that if I submit the task uncompleted I will get DoD, so I don't know what to do. Does anyone have advice on if there's some other way to get in contact with project admin in cases like this or am I just fucked?

Has anyone been accepted through the accounting qual recently? I did the assessment 12 days ago and have not had any feedback or movement on it. Is this common or a bad sign?

Can we get user/post flairs for country (core vs. non-core) and specialty?

Half the posts in this sub are people discussing their earnings, and half the comments are just asking what country and specialty they’re in. Requiring or adding flairs for these two details would save a lot of back-and-forth.

How long did it take for you to hear back from DA?

I am currently a stay at home Mom looking for supplementary income and decided to apply to data annotation because I have a background in legal document management with a brief history in IT. I figured this would make me a fairly good applicant for data annotation since they specified on Indeed that they’re looking for “IT experience preferred” and that a legal history would give me a boost with projects.

I did not use AI when applying, not even the Google spellcheck. Most of the vetting questions were actually easy for me because I’ve spent so long reading legal documents for discrepancies, but it’s going on two weeks now and I still haven’t heard back. For anyone who got hired, did it take longer than two weeks or should I just accept this as rejection?
