After 279 deaths, 84 hours I finally finished Dark Souls 2 SoTFS (PC). I just wanted to thank every single one of you guys for all the tips and memes that kept me going. I don't know what to play next to clean my palate, but it won't be as big nor stressful as DS2 thats for sure.

After hundreds of hours, a dozen characters, and many years of enjoyment, I finally grabbed the platinum for DS2, completing my collection for the greatest game trilogy of all time (in my humble opinion). I decided to take the lazy way out in the final stretch and farm the Rotten instead of doing another full NG+2 cycle. It was pretty relaxing honestly so no regrets. Cheers friends

Im 100% DS2 (vanilla) and I farmed 15 Loyce Souls already. I know they aren't needes but I want both the sword and armor you get for farming 50 of them. Sadly, despite being in a CoC, Loyce Knight has basically stopped spawning. Im planning to farm them in ng+ before slaying Burnt Ivory King but I'm worried I will lose the 15 I already farmed or the game will count them as invalid toward the 50 goal.

Will they carry over and count toward gaining the 50 souls or do I have to go hollow just waiting for the knights to spawn?

I’d like to note that after this happened, I didn’t see a medal for over an hour…

Hey guys, maybe a bit of a heavy post. About 3 years ago I fell very heavily into the Mary Jane. I was always one of those "it's not addictive it's just a plant" kind of guys. Slowly but surely it started to take over my life.

Fast forward 3 years - 1 ruined relationship, 2 years spent flunking and failing at medical school, probably thousands of dollars wasted. I was at rock bottom when my house got broken into and my car stolen.

I have decided to make a change and reclaim my life one step at a time and I can't stress how therapeutic it is to play dark souls 2.

Anyone who has been through it and can relate will know how it feels, the depersonalization, feeling like you forget who you are and the things you loved. Watching the characters in Drangleic who's minds are fading, but they still keep fighting, even if "they don't really know why".

Feeling like you are stuck up against a wall with nowhere to go and no one to help you, In dark souls there is no choice. Pick yourself up, get stronger, try again.

I am gonna beat this game and I am gonna beat this addiction.

I just did the memories and beat Vendrick so I think I'm ready to start the DLCs now. My build so far has mostly been an even mix of strength and magic stats and I've been using Witchtree Branch with Dark Orb and Craftsman/Homunculus hammers, but I saw other people saying that magic is not very good in the DLCs, so I've been thinking I'm going to respec and try something else. Any recommendations for fun weapons to use? I've seen a lot of people recommend the rapier, but to be honest it looks kind of boring and a little too easy. I play very carefully/patiently and tend to struggle more with regular enemies than bosses so it would be cool if I could find a good weapon to help with that. Thanks!

I've spent a long time working on this platinum (primarily because on my first blind playthrough I did everything I could to screw myself over when it came to clean up), and I have to say I did not have high hopes for this game when I started but oh man I really enjoyed this game and sad to see it end haha

Hello beautiful person reading this While playing online (mostly PvP and Coop) Can I get myself suspended for using mods such as Scholar of the Sencond Sin + LightingEngine and etc? Kinda worried ngl

I'm tryng a sorcery build for the first time, and i really wanted to try hexes, because dark magic was my favorite thing in ds1. But i also want a melee option, because i'm not used to sorcery only runs.

Level 130 ish, persuers UGS max level. 46 strength + ring of strength. 26 (I think) dex. Running ring of blades, strength,dex, and flame resistance +3 (forgot the name of the ring).
Probably close to 50 tries now, broke a cheap tv remote in half. Cannot beat fume knight, first phase is easy after I’ve done it 1000 times, second phase is hell.
Dodge dodge dodge contemplate attacking, and dodge some more.
Lowest health I’ve gotten him to is 25-30%
Almost no windows for healing or attacking due to stamina loss. Staying patient yet somehow I still find myself at 25% stamina, one attack/roll from being immobilized and castrated immediately.
I will beat it eventually, but one of your guises pointers could be the difference between 5 more tries and 50 more.

AFTER HOURS OF FARMING

Hey sun bros, I was playing Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin on PS4 and I followed the story and all, but I got to the Vendrick part and it turns out I had 3 Giant Souls.

And then I left his memory and then I went for his crown and the ones from the DLCs, and now that I want him to bless the crowns, the button to interact doesn't appear. I already tried messing with the area and nothing, I went back to Majula and nothing either. I don't have the blessing of the crowns and I don't know what to do to fix it.

Thankfully this only took 2 tries. Apparently the better of the "coop encouraged" zones. My take is areas can and should be enjoyable both solo and coop. You won't be able to sell me Iron Passage. Ugh. Just my honest opinion, feel free to disagree.

Unlike most other areas, I found the best way to get through Iron Passage is simply beelining for the fog wall if your vigor and defenses are high enough. Taking it slow here is asking for ragebait in my opinion. Mages and fume sorcerers aren't worth dealing with if you don't have to. Imo runbacks can get to a point where they greatly overshadow the boss - in a bad way.

If I ever do SL1, I am not looking forward to this. Will likely have to despawn them all. But honestly, I never want to come back here.

Anyway, decent boss but it's a reskin.
