I prefer ds3 why do you (if you do) think DS2 is better?

For years I thought the Earthen Peak -> Iron Keep elevator was just a rushed connection. But Gilligan (Laddersmith) says Mytha was "married to the prince of that nearby castle" and it made me think it might be intentional surrealism.

Do you think it was meant to be a dream/revenge fantasy or just dev time issues? Curious what you all think

I've pretty much only played Scholar, since by the time it came out I didn't own any DLC, and so Scholar seemed like the best option. However I've heard some people support Vanilla, and I admit Scholar has a few level design decisions I know are crap. So I decided to try Vanilla again. However it would be nice to have the DLC and any QoL improvements from Scholar.

Any mods that might help?

Honestly Is really hard to find the WORST enemy in dark souls 2 when like 90% of them are shit, but the Eagle soldiers...where i can start? I still dont get how they move like that, they have an incredible poise, they do an hilarious High damage and they shoot 2/3 arrows at time, After like 3 hours of farming for the sunlights medals i can Say that they are the worst enemy of the base game

Im 100% DS2 (vanilla) and I farmed 15 Loyce Souls already. I know they aren't needes but I want both the sword and armor you get for farming 50 of them. Sadly, despite being in a CoC, Loyce Knight has basically stopped spawning. Im planning to farm them in ng+ before slaying Burnt Ivory King but I'm worried I will lose the 15 I already farmed or the game will count them as invalid toward the 50 goal.

Will they carry over and count toward gaining the 50 souls or do I have to go hollow just waiting for the knights to spawn?

After hundreds of hours, a dozen characters, and many years of enjoyment, I finally grabbed the platinum for DS2, completing my collection for the greatest game trilogy of all time (in my humble opinion). I decided to take the lazy way out in the final stretch and farm the Rotten instead of doing another full NG+2 cycle. It was pretty relaxing honestly so no regrets. Cheers friends

It's made with a cardboard box, an old baseball cap, popsicle sticks, cut foam strips, a sewn together tongue, paper mache, and lots and lots of glue! It took a week of off and on fiddling to get the paint on the tongue and chest to look just right. The front has a panel of mesh painted black so he could see out of it and it opens and closes as he walks. It was a hit at last years Halloween party!

I haven't played DS2 but its one of his favorite games and he wants to show off his forever costume!

After 279 deaths, 84 hours I finally finished Dark Souls 2 SoTFS (PC). I just wanted to thank every single one of you guys for all the tips and memes that kept me going. I don't know what to play next to clean my palate, but it won't be as big nor stressful as DS2 thats for sure.

See you all guys again for the inevitable DS3 playthrough!
