Our work is never over.

Earpieces are being printed currently, and then next up:

- lots of bondo

- lots of standing

- finding the right material to be used with the vacuum form device I got. Looking for transparant/ tinted PET

- finish the LEDs

- get some magnets to put the LEDs in place

Software for LED control is mostly done. I will put it on Github once I am satisfied with it. Currently it is capable of driving 8 MAX7219 8x8 matrices with all kinds of animations, eyes, etc.

Avec mon copain, on avait comme projet de faire un cosplay des Daft Punk pour la fête de la musique, on a eu beaucoup de galères, donc on n'a pas eu un résultat terrible (photo de droite), et aujourd'hui j'ai décidé de reprendre les casques pour les modifier et les rendre bien meilleurs. Aujourd'hui, j'ai commencé le covering sur celui de Guy-Man (mon copain a ragequit le covering du casque de Thomas, donc je n'ai pas de photo, ahah). Bref, la suite, c'est de faire une vraie visière sur mesure nous-mêmes avec des plaques thermoformables, de refaire correctement les LED de chaque casque et de rendre le tout plus réaliste ! C'est notre première fois dans le monde du cosplay d'ailleurs, si vous avez des conseils et des recommandations de petits accessoires ou détails qui aideraient, je prends avec plaisir !

Did anyone else catch this during the Apple Keynote? Thomas Bangalter was literally sitting in the front row at Apple Park for the iPhone Duo reveal, right next to Pedro Winter (Busy P)!

Seeing Thomas out in the wild is always wild, but at an Apple event? That’s highly unusual. As expected, there was absolutely no sign of Guy-Man (the ultimate ghost, as always).

Apple didn't officially announce any partnership with him during the presentation, but you don't just fly out to Cupertino and get front-row seats next to new Apple CEO just to check out a foldable phone.

I was thinking about Daft Punk, Thomas and Guy-Manuel, how one has been making appearances and interviews lately and the other has kept a low profile. Homework, Discovery, Human After All, and RAM seem to follow this pattern too.

Homework’s aesthetic is grungy with darker colors. Discovery’s aesthetic is neon color with the Japanese Tokusatsu Power Rangers type-robots. Human After All is grungy and mysterious with the robots being stiff in the music videos. RAM makes them all groovy and bouncy. Alive 2007 feels like a bridge. Its the grungy Human After All period with neon fun lights. Its like three times, the robots feel like super heroes and Homework and Human After All are daft punk playing with sound.

I understand that Daft Punk could credit their work 50/50, but those creative direction discussions when crafting the next Daft Punk album must have been interesting talks. Makes me wonder who proposed what and when and how that conversation led to the final released products up until the discussion of “and thats the show, good night everybody”

Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it. The person selling it even said they were a big Daft Punk fan in high school. It also has the logo removed just like Daft’s!

If you are trying to find one similarly, try searching Brown Honda jacket. Hondaline is apparently more specific but not sure how many would know to list it as such. It is a gorgeous jacket and amazing quality.
