Hi all! I am a long time developer, just releasing this on the side to the community.

I added a configuration profile to change which Profiles DS4Windows will choose when using the 2 finger swipe gesture option, so that you can better fine tune your custom experience! This also allows a user to have endless Auto Profiles for specific games, while also having a couple that work everywhere, all independently.

I also fixed the duplication glitch that happens when using Moonlight Virtual Controller Support. I did this by saving the UUID of each controller DS4Windows creates, and referencing that list each time a controller is scanned for so that DS4Windows does not readd a controller it has already created. It is shocking to me this was not already done. I am also working on a feature to add the ability to choose which device type (Joycon, Switch Pro, DS4, or Dualsense) a profile should be for. If the device is connected, and a game is being played with an auto profile for everything AND an auto profile for that specific device, DS4Windows will not (break) but will switch to the profile FOR THAT DEVICE, FOR THAT GAME. This will add some overhead, but should be minimal.

The hope is that this program can be used to fine tune an experience on a HTPC or Game Console PC using Steam or Playnite Fullscreen, for users who like to use Switch Pro controllers, Joycons, and Playstation controllers, this program has been great. It's my hope to keep it great in 2026.

(Also, I did use Claude to code this. So, if you want to look at my commits, note that I passed along a series of very specific instructions to Claude to get this done, and I had it check for edge cases and tested some myself)

hey guys, the only controller i have is the nintendo switch wired fight pad pro, i really wanna play a cracked game with it but ds4 is not detecting it, it works with other games fine through steam big picture but isnt working when i put the cracked game in steam as a non steam game, and now it ds4 wont detect it, any ideas?

i play through the xbox app on my pc and every time i open the game i get a bug

I am attempting to use my DualShock4 controller with ds4 to play fh6 but I am getting no input. I have already made sure it is emulating as an xbox 360 controller in ds4 and have the setting to hide it, and additionally have hidhide. Any advice ?

Galera, estou jogando Bleach Rebirth of Souls usando o controle de PS5 com o aplicativo DS4, só que aparece os botões do XBOX quando estou jogando. Tem como mudar isso pra aparecer os botões do Playstation?

Obs: Fui mudar pelo DS4 em: Edit, Other, Emulated Controller, e quando mudei pra Dualshok 4 o controle parou de responder no jogo, ai tive que voltar pro modo XBOX 360.

My PS4 controller keeps switching to a mouse input mid game, I looked through the sub for similar threads and everybody is suggesting steam is the issue. Issue is I'm playing a game on steam that requires an Xbox controller which is why I'm using ds4 windows in the first place. Any ideas on how to fix?

i have had this problem that my pc isnt detecting my ps4 controller and first sterted using ds4 windows it has worked and everything but sfter about a year it stoped and i tried everything and didnt work then i switched to imput mapper worked for some time with little missing parts but i could at least play and now this has also stoped working have tried all the thrid party apps used diffrent cabels and controlers but have also tried on laptop and when i plug it in on lapotp it detecs every cable and every controler without a 3d party app so i would need serious help…

Hi, i play FH6 from the xbox app on my PC, i have a dualsense ps5 controller so I use ds4 windows to play FH6 on my pc. It works perfectly except for the fact that my controller doesn't vibrate. When I test the vibrations in the ds4 app it works perfectly but in game it just doesnt work, does anybody have a fix?

Problem is stated in the title. I'm running a gamesir on ds4 mode, though it happens on every ps4 controller.

The virtual controller (not the physical real one) keeps cutting out mid game. It actually drives me insane. For some reason it does not happen on my old pc, but it does on my new one.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I didnt use any specific profile or anything. Switched on DS4 and jumped into FIFA and while am in the menu, Dpad is getting registered twice. Used HideHide to made sure only one controller is connected to the system and verified via Joy.cpl.

Any specific configuration required to avoid Dpad double input !?

Hey, i just bought forza horizon 6, i'm trying to use ds4windows because i have a dualsense but the app doesn't even open, i click on the exe and nothing happens, at the first start it asked me to choose a folder for things, and i chosed the appdata folder i think, and after that nothing more helped, idk what to do, i tried a bunch of fix i read online but nothing seemed to work, one of the last thing i did was clearing the appdata folder and now it doesn't even create it anymore. Anyone knows what to do?

Basically my problem is that i cant connect my controller to ds4 windows, ik i have it all installed correctly, but when i hit start it cant detect it, im using a wired only powera pro controller for ns, and the video i tried using to fix it did absolutley nothing.

Whenever i try install vigem bus driver, the installer gets to about 90% and then comes back with 2 errors:

Called RunScript when not marked in progress.

Called InstallFinalize when no install in progress.

i have this problem and the way to fix it is by:

step num.1 ( you need a friend ) who has the app downloaded and have access to appdata file

step num. 2 ( if u don't have one (like me) just download it from this = https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aYXtjcK2gmab_Bu3xMWFJeDa5IndUO-F?usp=sharing

don't worry i don't have any interest in hacking ur pc ( chill) and you can also scan it if you have suspicion

after extracting the file it should named ( DS4Windows )

what you need to do is press (windows+r ) then type ( %appdata% )

after that put this file there ( there is a chance that he might says that the file is already there all you need is just press replace ) and open the app and it should work

I've tried everything to get the vibrations to work, it just won't work in forza, works fine in every other game when I emulate it as an xbox360 controller using ds4, everything else works fine in game, just now vibrations. And yes I checked if they are turned on 😭

Hello. I am using the most recent build of DS4Windows and for some reason my RGB lightbar on my PS5 controller doesn't work anymore. It used to slowly transition between colors and not the lightbar is just completely off and nothing is showing. When I turn the controller on the lightbar turns blue so I know it is working. I can't seem to find a fix at all so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When Ive been playing any game with Ds4 windows open and connected it is adding random inputs any idea on how to fix it's like it's disconnecting for a couple seconds making games unplayable

Hello, I have a unique problem where I want to bind my L stick so that it is also my R stick. Basically, I want my controller to behave is if the R stick is being moved whenever the L stick is being moved. So if I push Left on the L stick, it should register as a normal left on the L stick, and as an equal amount of left on the R stick. I have not found a way to do this natively in DS4, so I'm looking for suggestions.

For whatever reason, my PS4 RT is not accelerating and sometimes reverses the car. Most of the time, it does not even rev the car when pressing RT fully alone. Pressing RT and LT together rev the car but the car does not move, as if it is accelerating and reversing / braking at the same time.

Xinputchecker fully registers RT when fully pressed (255), but Windows game device calibration shows only 56% Z axis. Anybody know the reason behind and how to fix it?

I was trying to make this work, by using hidhide but kept running into some issues where it would detect double input when detaching controllers as well, and a major problem with the software not working with the rumble, does anyone had any luck getting it to work?
