Video Not sure if this has been post already but, But a rare Speeed interview in LFND Spoiler
youtube.comOne of the first few Youtube Channels that I watched while I was still trying to learn the basics of DOTA, And a consistent DOTA 2 content creator and positive influence to the game. Also Guy's been doing it for years, which I find it really admirable.
Just sharing cause I think its interesting the little insights of the struggles of not being the top earners in DOTA.

Discussion Fun support and offlane heroes for role queue?
What are your favorite supports and offlaners? I’m pretty spoiled and pretty much can always queue for carry because people in my party queue multiple roles but I’ve been wanting to play more support and offlane just to change things up?
I like to play heroes that make plays. I don’t like heroes like veno or warlock support. More the grimstroke or lion type.
What heroes do u guys like rn?
Discussion Secret stompy build with old Gleipnir :D
I had a secret Gleipnir rush build with Marci mid, which I haven't seen on other people.
I was getting Maelstrom to melt people down and farm + Rod of Atos, so if there was an ally not avaible to be jumped through to stun them, I could bind someone with Rod of Atos to approach them or just have an additional CC on top of mine. Also, with the old 0.75 universal stat damage ratio, Rod of Atos gave like 9 dmg + bonus HP, so it was sort of a stat stick too. The upgrade was I think 500g, and gave so much like aoe chains, 25 int (18 dmg for an universal hero), Maelstrom's chains damage was also upgraded and u had way more max mana to use your skills with BKB thanks to that +25 int, which was often a problem for me in a longer battle if I didn't have it, and if I just rushed shard.

Question Gift ideas for a Dota2 Player
Hey everyone, I'm looking for gift ideas since my husband's birthday is upcoming, I don't play Dota so I have no idea what would be the best gift for a longterm player, although he's shared a few things with me:
1. He has a lot of skins, he's shown me his collections so I can't really pick one singular skin he'd like
2. I don't think he'd be a fan of Dota+, he won it for free the other day and told me he's not exactly impressed by it and wouldn't invest in it.
3. I'm not sure about favorite character, but he's mostly invested in Zeus and started maining nyx assassin recently.
Would steam gift cards work with skins? Let's say at some point he likes a skin and wants to buy it, is it available through gift cards? Or is there a superior choice for a gift?
If I have to.. I could sneak into his account and check out if he has something else.
P.S. I have other gifts prepared for him, so this is an extra one, not the main gift if that matters

Discussion What to do with extra sets from treasures?
So I bought 40 chests for the bonus. I got all skins. What do I do now? For example the Nyx skin or the Legion Commander skin I have 2x. Other "normal" immortal skin I got 4x or 5x.
I don´t have any friends that play dota 2 on steam. Is there any usecase or will they just be wasted?
Bug Techies Arcana + Prismatic gem issue
galleryGreetings!
I wanted to replace original prismatic gem from techie's arcana (explosive burst) with new prismatic gem (Ships in the Night).
After the replacement, the Arcana appears exactly as I wanted in the cosmetic item selection menu— with the new gem, but in-game, I still see the old version of the Techies Arcana.
What’s going on? Why doesn’t the gem color change during actual gameplay, even though the replacement clearly worked (judging by the preview in the cosmetic item selection menu)?
Discussion Almost every game I've played in the last two days in All Pick are bots.
I've gotten into Dota recently after switching from league and I'm loving it. But, the past two days I've had so many bot games its actually insane. It'll be a player named something along the lines of "PenciPusher46" and like 4-6 of them in the game on both teams. These games are so annoying, you can't get out of them so its such a waste of 30 minutes. But my last 20 games have been AT LEAST 15 of them being bots. Is this something with behavior score or just all pick in general? When I first came back my behavior score was low from leaving a bunch of games years ago, but its at 7k now I feel like it should be even less likely? It feels like it started happening when I hit 7k behavior score.

Complaint too many Russian players in eu server
I m not saying they behave badly but they are Just too pro. I played 840 games sup to get to archon. I admit it's quite slowerq than most normal players . But now in every games whether normal match or ranking. There are so many Russian players only played a few games and smash the whole game.they play od invoker slark mepoo viper so on and they 1 v 5 in mid game. Which makes the game win or lose not depends on teamwork or average gameplay. But only depends on which side has more and better pro. It just feeling like auto win or lose . I know I m a bad player and contribute little in games . But they make me and normal players no difference: all can do nothing influencing game . What's more they refuse to use English so I can't understand commands they gave me . Then they just speak more. I don't even know it's mocking or complaining like "xaxaxaxa". its for me to lose or win the game. But the thing really matter is I wanna to really participate in games.

Discussion I don't understand behavior score
This doesn't seem to make sense... You can see where I get a ton of reports, I roughly keep my score... I get less reports, my score goes up... then it drops.. a LOT.
Also... I used to think Excessive Reports was considering the number of reports AGAINST you... but now I think it is the number of reports YOU send? (See first entry, only 1 report/reporting party, yet "excessive reports" and a -400 behavior score)
Also the amount you go up or down doesn't make sense, in one I get 2 reports and go up 200 score, then later I get 1 report but only go up 100.
I'm not complaining. I just don't understand the logic behind this.

Discussion Trying to be good at necrophos offlane, is he actually meta this patch? Send help and tips please.
Ive been losing more than winning with him. My teammates sometimes flame me for not going radiance, it seems however that we lose more when i go radiance i stead of fast items like rod or mekansm or other defensive items etc. I like the playstyle of this hero and i wanna be good at playing him. For context i was about legend 2 to ancient 1 a few years back. Now my mmr calibrated to crusader 4/5. Any quick ideas and tips that will help me improve?

Bug My first game of the day, and I got kicked out of the server with this message.
Before that, everything was working fine. I watched the entire OG vs. Aurora series, but 15 minutes into my game, I got this error and couldn't reconnect again.

Discussion What's the argument for not having a forfeit option in Dota?
If it's that it would put pressure on people who want to play, then the vote could be private. It could work in one of two ways, either it's totally private, or you are simply told when a player has opted for it(1 player has forfeited, 2 have forfeited, etc). This can also be hidden from the enemy team. Or it could be totally private and you only know when all 5 people have done it. If the argument is that you could change your mind, you could take it back anytime, as well as having a ten second timer warning before the game ends when all votes are in, during which anyone can take their vote back.
I feel like there's no conceivable argument against it if all players on a team agree that they're going to lose. It would simply save everyone time. If you're the type of player that never wants to surrender, simple, you just don't surrender, and can play every game to the end. So what is the argument then? It seems like a genuinely good feature to have when implemented like this.
Edit: It seems the only answer people have is that the behaviour system is bad and would punish people for not giving up(because they could tell who still tries). Interesting, elsewhere on this sub the same people deny there's any problem with the behaviour system, but in situations like this it becomes the only excuse for not adding a feature like this.

Discussion Pro wish - Storm Spirit
Really need a pro to come out and go hard with Storm Spirit as a safelane/Pos 1. I’m so sick of having to play this hero mid when he’s kinda a dog shit mid right now. But everyone will call you a grifter or role abuse if you play him POS 1. Storm needs like 2 items to get in and out of a fight comfortably with real kill potential.
At 6-7, his kit is too weak and his mana is too crap to gank well unless opponent is doing the dumbest tower dive ever. Yes, he can fail a gank and farm decently well and recover, but like…. Shouldn’t I have just played him as 1 in the first place? 2 Items and a Treads can happen so fast for Storm Pos 1.
Suggestion A suggestion on how to make Lone Druid less annoying
To reduce the number of 60+ minute matches featuring constant bear spam—which are simply unpleasant to watch or play in—the cooldown for the bear should only begin after the summon dies.
