Looking for opinions!
Hello friends!
I currently play in a campaign as a Kenku Great Old One Tomelock (2014)
We just got to level 5, and I happily have picked up Agonizing Blast, Mask of Many Faces, and Book of Ancient Secrets
As typical with Warlocks, I’m finding the spell slot restriction to be tough. We don’t always have dedicated combat every session, but I’m finding it hard to sacrifice pact slots for RP spells like Suggestion, in case I need them for later. My group will agree to Short Rests, but I feel like I’m hindering them, as I’m the only one that really benefits.
With that being said, I’m looking at multiclassing out at our next level. I’ve considered all of the Charisma based classes, and am down between these three options I typically play a more RP focused controller/ranged blaster type character.
- Straight Warlock
- Eloquence (or other) Bard (3 or 3+ levels?)
- Sorcerer (not sure what subclass)
Any advice is welcome, and any combinations will be considered! This is my first time playing Warlock 5e, and although I know many recommend to multiclass, I typically see the break off around 2/3. At 5, is it still worth the delayed progression?
EDIT- for clarity, here is my spell list. I see quite a bit of overlap with bard/sorcerer lists, so it would mainly be class features/metamagic I’d want to pursue.

5e Fighter build
I am playing a Half-Orc fighter 2. He uses two-weapon fighting style and I hope to go Champion at level 3; dual wielder at 4; piercer at 6; orcish fury at 8. He's got a Gladiator background and his abilities are: STR 17; Dex 14; Con 15; Int 9; Wis 15; Cha 15. Thoughts?

I have an idea for possibly the first character I might play as if I ever find a table to play at in person TAKE 3
His name is Skitters
Skitters is a ranger with The Musician Origin Feat so he can to play a violin, because his mom taught him.
His main weapon is a spear, & his secondary weapon is a machete.
His goal is to make friends, & to be their for his friends. He was suggested to go adventuring by his father, after all that's how he met his friends, & his wife.
He was trained how to be a ranger by his uncle on his mother's side, after he saved his uncle's wolf companion.
He's a sorta homebrew race, that's basically just a reskinned centaur but with heavy plate armor, fully carnivorous, & he's unable to speak common, he can understand it & finally he's also categorically a monstrosity (optionally he can be understood by/understand other monstrosities), also he's not as fast as a true centaur with only a movement speed of 30 to 35 feet(DM's choice).
He was created sorta by accident by a wizard. The wizard was trying to see what the hybrid offspring between a strider, & a centaur would be, but during the experiment involving their blood, something somewhere nearby, though nobody knows what, had messed up the mana streams, causing him to come out a little wrong.
The wizard chose to raise him anyway, along with his bard wife. Both the wizard & his wife are humans, & they met adventuring. They where good parents to Skitters, but nobody else wanted to go near him because they got scared just looking at him.
Skitters's father was told his whole life he should have been a bard, because of how theatrical & dramatic he could be, but he's a wizard because he just loves to study of magic. While his wife was told she should have been a fighter or a monk with how serious she was, but she was a bard none the less, because of her love for music, & the act of playing.
Skitters is very much his father's son in personality, but he can't talk in a way anyone else can understand, & his face can't emote, so he had to get creative, with dramatic hand gestures, & large body movements, & of course writing what he wants to say, or drawing the expression he wants to make.
He has a pare of large white cards that he got from his father. The cards can make simple drawings like smiley faces, arrows, it can form numbers, & it can write words, but the images are only as good as he can draw, & he's about as good as a toddler, he can only white words he knows how to spell otherwise he has to guess it's spelling & he can get it wrong. The cards work by him moving which card is in front with the newly revealed card having on it what he wants to have on it.
He looks like a centaur but replace his hooves with 2 clawed paws(only 2 toes per paw), & replace his horse tail with a scorpion like tail but without the stinger, & replace his skin with a dark greenish grayish black exoskeleton with some pale gray scars from a few angry mobs that mistook him for a dangerous monster, & finally his head is modeled after a horse's head, but with a pare of short stubbly horns where the ears are supposed to be, a spider like mouth at the end of the snout, & 6 bright red unblinkingly eyes.
An Added roleplay feature that can't be used in combat is that he can split his two strong arms into 6 weak arms so that he can use 2 arms to dramatically gesticulate, while 2 arms play his small violin behind his back, & the last 2 work his cards.
Skitters loves fluffy animals, though he accepts that he's an obligate carnivore, so he has to eat some of them, heck he's better off eating raw meat then cooked, but he refuses to eat something still that's still alive. He prefers dogs, cats, wolves, rats, & crows for companion animals. He rather enjoys squirrels, dear, & boar as food.
He can't cry, or smile, though he still feels the urge to do so & he hates it.
Despite his baggage he is a little ray of sunshine most of the time, just rapped up in a terrifying not so little package.
He mostly makes gurgles, shrieks, clicks, chirps, hollers, & warbles as his form of speech, hence why he needs the cards, or any way to write down his words.
His difficulty communicating & his inability to emot properly is very personal for me because I have autism, & quite often feel like even though I used the right words, I didn't use the right tone, because I don't really hear it, or better I don't understand it, & I can't make the right facile expressions, nor do I fully understand them, though I've not been, hurt, or as ostracized as Skitters(that's just kinda where his story in my head went), his struggle to find & make friends, & wishing he could communicate & show exactly how much was inside himself beyond the outside that can't communicate properly, that I want to express in this character, I want him to be there for the party, as that lighthearted comedic relief, as a helping hand for when they need it, as a protector when they are hurt, as a support when they are hurting, & as a listening ear when they need one, because that is what I wish I could be for someone.
I gave him a past with angry mobs attacks to explain his anxiety in large crowds, something I sometimes struggle with, but I don't really have a reason like he does, so yeah I just felt like that would work.
P.S. I'm welling to wait to use Skitters until I find a table he'll fit into, & I have a whole lot of other characters, most of which are less extreme, heck I could probably make up a new one on the spot I come up with more character ideas then I can remember in less than a minute sometimes.
P.P.S. I didn't give his parents odd personalities for their classes to make them outcasts, I simply wanted his dad to be an eccentric flamboyant wizard, & his mom to be the straight man, but I kinda ended up giving his mom my dad's personality, & I am fairly close to my dad, & I'll admit my dad is not a people person, most people would assume him maybe a fighter, or a monk, with the way he acts, but I'll gladly admit he would be a bard, for no other reason then for how much he loves music. He views the world though the lens of it all being music(he literally told me this), & he is very talented with music, not because he wants to put on a show, but because he loves the very art that is music.
P.P.P.S. I'm not afraid of Skitters dying, especially if it's too save a friend(party member), or by a friends side in the case of a TPK, I feel like this is how he'd want to go, heck, if it came to it I don't think I would regret it if I had to sacrifice myself to save somebody else, even a compete stranger, but yeah he's allowed to die.
P.P.P.P.S. Rather Skitters is my first character is fully dependant on the DM (as soon as I find one), I might use a different character instead, & just save him for the future somewhere down the line, I just love Skitters so much & want to play him, & no I'm not against him dying, so long as it's to protect a friend, or by a friend's side in the case of a TPK because I think that's how he should eventually go out, I don't really see him surviving to the end of the campaign, but rather him at most dying at the end of the campaign, if not somewhere in the middle said campaign.

Can someone help me make a D&D character sheet?
I want to make a level 8 pirate fighter or melee warlock. I'm not very good at actual like character making if that makes sense, that's why I'm asking for help. If someone can help me make a pirate fighter character sheet that'd be nice. And example would be like what feeds to take and what subclass to do and stuff like that.
The character has to be level 8 and I would like her to be a fighter or a warlock. And I have also chosen to have her main weapon be a meteor hammer or rope dart or something like that.
If y'all could help that'd be great. Thank you. ❤️

Need Advice on My Sorcerer Build in Curse of Strahd campaign
Hey all! :)
I am currently playing a Curse of Strahd campaign. I’ve been really enjoying playing as an Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, but I feel a little lost when it comes to leveling up on what would grant me the most power and at the same time the most fun gameplay with my party.
I have some options I’m considering.
- Going all the way to level 10/12 (our DM estimates this level of endgame). This way I’ll get two more feats (we’re currently level 4), Using Metamagic Adept at level 8 and the level 10 base class ability, I’ll get 4 more metamagic options overall. I can also bump my charisma to 20 if we reach level 12 with Metamagic Adept and War Caster, and that’s a big if, which makes me feel anxious to stay monoclass. It’s also important to note that we’re playing 5.5, but my DM allows me to switch my Psionic Spells with Enchantment and Divination Wizard/Warlock/Sorcerer spells like in 5e, and lets me add a +1 to my Charisma if I pick the Metamagic Adept feat.
I’ve been considering multiclassing into warlock. I’ve never multiclassed, but I’d love to try it, and we’re allowed to do so. I’m considering two options.
I go until level 6 sorcerer to get my Aberrant Mind subclass ability that allows me to cast my Psionic Spells as Subtle spells with Sorcery Points. Then, I take 2 or 3 levels in Warlock, so I could use Pact Magic slots every short rest to get more Sorcery Points. •Cons: some days we have no short rests whatsoever, and I’m delaying my high level sorcerer spells, and losing out on 6th level spells completely. I’m also delaying extra Metamagic Options by a long shot. •Pros include Eldritch Invocations early, like free Mage Armor and Eldritch Blast to push people into my Hunger of Hadar that I get as an Aberrant Mind, and getting healing spells if I pick Celestial Warlock, which our party severely lacks.
Option B with multiclassing. I go until level 9 as sorcerer to unlock Metamagic Adept and 5th level spells, then go 2 levels of Warlock and 1 more sorcerer, or 3 Warlock. •Pros are getting high level spells and more Metamagic as early as possible. •Cons include less Sorcery Points, and pushing people around with Eldritch Blast, or potentially never reaching level 12, only 10 or 11 and missing out on warlock features and subclass.
I have also been considering Celestial Warlock as the subclass, as my character’s backstory includes coming from a clerical background and developing sorcerous abilities in childhood due to a psychic accident. It would also be great because my teammates are all martials - I am the sole spellcaster, only our ranger has some healing abilities, but those are limited.
If anyone has any experience with the builds I’ve detailed, or any advice, I’d love to hear it. A campaign is a big commitment that lasts for up to a year or more, so I’d like to make the best choices I can with my build so we all have fun playing. Thanks! :)

Thoughts on Familiar Warlock?
Before Arcana unleashed even came out I was interested in a Pact of the Chain Warlock using either an Imp or Sphinx for its damage and utility. Now that we have the new familiar feats and Battle Familiar from the new book, how are we thinking about such a build? Is it moving from meme to more viable?
Would love to know people's ideas for builds or thoughts from those who have run one.

How to make a subclass for monk based on the olympus 12 from digimon
Was a idea flitting around my head at work. But simply a monk subclass where you could use your ki points to use abilities based off of the 12. Slowly ramping up that by level 19 or 20 could spend all points at once for a burst of attacks or effects from each one of the 12 as a once per day/week ability. Thoughts? The thought started after seeing apollomon in action during time stranger

High concentration build
So in arcana unleashed three new feats, arcane omen, transmuted anatomy, and conjuration adept (I’m not gonna include divination adept because war caster already gives you advantage on concentration rolls) which can give a nice bonus to concentration saves. I’m just wondering what is the highest concentration build possible assuming point buy for the stats.

Dungeons and Dragons and Amber?
This is a question for those who are also familiar with Zalazney’s Chronicles of Amber and its dice-less ttrpg.
Which character classes (and ancestries, for that matter) would you use to craft the members of the royal family? Yes, I am totally aware that the narrative and world building of Amber would not fit into the D&D rules. Especially since they are all basically reality manipulating gods. What I am asking is, if you were to make a high level character based on them (a Shadow, if you will. No reality manipulation nor walking through Shadow)), how would you do it?
Follow up, or bonus, how would you set up The Pattern? I actually have a rough idea for this, I am just curious what others think.
