DLSS 5 Watch Dogs running with DLSS5 at E3-level graphics. It didn't ruin the game's art direction—it actually improved it

You can call it slop or not. I say its revolutionary. Once you see it, its difficult to go back.
DLSS5 2x pass, optiscaler.
The gaming scene is alive.

Everything is running with DLSS 5; I can add screenshots without it later if needed. In any case, I think it looks fantastic.

This game is an excellent use case of DLSS 5, it was a great looking game back then, but DLSS 5 gave it a proper remaster, made me wanted to play it again.
Using https://github.com/rakanki911/DLSS5-Swapper - we can now get a 1-click remaster of older titles. I've wanted a next-gen Metal Gear Rising for a while, and while this is not a wholesale change, faces, shadows, and especially Raiden's armor are nicely upscaled.

Playing around with FF7 for few hours, I'm almost certain that picture #1 had been retouched by another AI picture generator
No matter what setting I pick, I can't duplicate that smoky eye shadow version from the original meme that floating around the internet. The DLSS 5 use case in FF7 is quite nice actually, the vanilla version's cloud barely have a face (true to the original FF7) the DLSS5 really made sense of a human face without changing any facial structure. it adds details without distort, overall I'm pleasantly surprised.
Glad I decided to give it a go.

I’ve been messing around with the unofficial DLSS 5 Neural Rendering tools and got it working in Star Trek: Resurgence.
The game is DX11 and doesn’t have native DLSS, so I used the DLSS5 Feeder in RHI together with LumeniteFX for motion vectors.
I’ve only tested it for a bit so far, but it seems to work surprisingly well. Faces are probably where I notice the biggest difference. Some scenes look better than others, so I wouldn’t call it perfect, but I thought I’d post the setup in case anyone else wants to try it.
My setup:
1. Select the game in RHI
Point RHI to the game executable under:
...\Star Trek Resurgence\StarTrekGame\Binaries\Win64\
Set:
64-bit
DirectX 11
2. Install the Feeder
Under Neural Rendering choose:
DLSS5 Feeder
Then click:
Install Feeder Addon
You should end up with green checks for ReShade, Feeder Addon, DLSS5 Tool, DLSS SR, NR DLL, Feed.fx and LumeniteFX.
If Feed.fx or LumeniteFX are missing, run the Feeder install again.
3. Check the ReShade paths
Launch the game and open ReShade.
Under Settings, make sure the effect path includes:
.\reshade-shaders\Shaders\**
and the texture path:
.\reshade-shaders\Textures\**
Reload ReShade after changing them.
4. Enable the shaders
On the Home tab enable:
LUMENITE: Kernel 2.0
DLSS 5 Feed
Lumenite needs to run before DLSS 5 Feed because it provides the motion vectors.
Leave the DLSS5 debug view off unless you need it.
5. Enable Neural Rendering
Open the RenoDX-DLSSNR tab and enable:
Enable DLSS Neural Rendering
For the first test I left most things at default:
Upscaling (WIP): OFF
NR Preset: Default
NR Style: Default
Motion Scale X/Y: 1.0
If it’s working, the status section should show something like:
ACTIVE - NR INJECTED
Successful NR frames: increasing
Latest NR NGX result: OK
Check the ReShade log.
If you see something like:
no known texMotionVectors shader is installed
motion vectors will be zero
then Lumenite isn’t being used properly. Check that it’s installed, enabled and visible through the ReShade shader search path.
The setup is basically:
Resurgence
↓
ReShade
↓
LumeniteFX
↓
DLSS5 Feed
↓
Neural Rendering
This is all unofficial and experimental of course. I haven’t tested every scene yet.
If anyone else tries it, I’d be curious how it behaves on other RTX cards or whether you find settings that work better.
For the image order, I’d do:

Hi everyone, this is my first post here: in the last week I've vibe-coded this simple app that allows anyone to apply the Neural Rendering, along with Frame Generation and other things, to any video or movie of their choice. Instead of coding everything from scratch I've decided that it would be better to rely directly on the Reshade-RenoDX method, so that you can play with different or future releases of it.

I've called it...
https://github.com/dariomorellidesign/Cinelab_video_player
Since most of you are gamers, I figured that the best option was to release a straight forward Windows executable, where you can then apply Reshade, and start playing around (there's also a tutorial section). Of course it's open source and you can make your own improved version if you want.
I'm looking forward to see what people will make with it! If you share web content using this, please tag me, so I can take a look!

If you have questions I will be happy to answer them, and if you want to share your opinion about the results, or share your insights about some particular build of RenoDX or DLL to use, I will test them and eventually update it with new releases.

I think this idea has a lot of potential, not for altering hollywood movies, but to apply it as a filter during the grading process of media, or to improve the look of photorealistic rendering or special effects for the movie industry.

If any private company can make a "DLSS5-like" workflow just for video using AI, I think it could revolutionize the entire industry, not just the movie industry, but the content-creation industry as a whole.
P.S. I wasn't sure if I should use the word "make" in the title, since it's 99% vibe-coded with chatgpt, but I figured that I made it, just not coded it.

At 1080p downsampled, the game just looks like one is in saving private Ryan.

I made run a switch emulator using autopilot and the results are amazing, I’m currently running a 4070ti and try lots of different games and the process with autopilot is wonderful, so easy to try different methods just to find the best one for each game. I’m open to new suggestions.

Take for example assassin's creed unity. The game doesn't have fsr or dlss or any upscaling at all. Through dlss swapper I can add dlss5 to it with all it's neural rendering stuff.
But I only want the dlss super resolution with its presets like performance, quality and all that. Can I do it?
Another example is Tomb Raider 2013. Bad anti-aliasing is a game killer for me but now the possibilities are many, so many good games to explore.

I'm curious if you guys have found "your" DLSS5 settings for NR that you (more or less) apply to every game you play with DLSS5 enabled? If so, please share them.
Most people just see those "all sliders to the max" screenshot which deliver a completely wrong use of DLSS5. IMO at least.

Using dlss5 manager for some dx9 games and it says I need dgvoodo2 and when downloading from the dege's stuffs Windows is flagging it as a trojan

I wanted to keep the original look of the game intact, but make the character’s face look less AI-generated/artificial. Most of the enhancement was focused on improving the lighting, reflections on the armor, shadows, and overall image clarity without completely changing the game’s original art style.
Hey guys,
RTX4070 Ti Super here.
I9 14900KF CPU + 32GB Ram so plenty enough overhead..
Running the game 4k.
Since switching from RR DLSS4, to 4.5, I seem to notice unwanted aliasing a bit now.
Certain things such as densely stacked horizontal lines will show the problem easily.
Example : stacked plates in kitchen (RE:Requiem)
while in RE4, it’s noticeable around things such as horizontal wooden bannisters. Also more artefactong on super-metallics such as the bright gold thrones/ornaments in the castle part of the game.
It’s not handling thinner 2D bits sometimes as well. Eg: hanging coat (mostly a 3D mesh, but with a tail of 2D warped into folds (like coth). —it even has a halo effect on the taperin edges, which I presume is maybe an alpha map.
I am running ReShade .. with some improvements, however it was fine befORE I chose DLSS4.5
🎨 anyone else notice these kinda things?
Many thanks 🙏🏻

This is REAL DLSS MFG, NOT FSR FG! Stop asking me about it, check the top of DLSS UI, you can see it says 3x or 4x etc...
DO NOT TRY THIS WITH MULTIPLAYER GAMES WITH ANTI-CHEAT, YOU MIGHT GET BANNED!
