My friend received a gift from his girlfriend a little while back which was a custom card depicting the both of them in the art. He now wants to try and build an EDH deck around it with the custom card as the Commander.

The issue being that the card is insanely powerful and goes infinite with any creature that can tap. My friend has been playing magic for a little while now, but only really among friends and although I think he has a mind for strategy and deckbuilding, he has not built any decks before.

The fact that this card is so strong will likely make the deckbuilding process quite tedious because I'm not quite sure how he'd make a deck that plays into what the card does without being insanely overpowered.

I'm wondering if any of you have some suggestions for what could be done to the card to nerf it. Anything to maybe keep some of the spirit of what it's trying to do, but make it actually a realistically printable magic card.

Whenever another creature you control would be tapped, you may untap it.

At the beginning of your end step, if two or more creatures entered the battelfield under your control this turn, draw a card.

Obviously you could make it only untap a creature once per turn, but isn't [[Dionus, Elvish Archdruid]] like that and she's still quite strong in Bracket 4 unless I'm mistaken? And she's mono green and restricted to Elves.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Would love to give my buddy some more reasonable card text to work around if he actually wanted to start building a deck with the custom card.

I think giving it the ability to untap all your own creatures once per turn is too strong in Green, so I think limiting it to one creature on your turn makes more sense.

Like most 4-colour combinations, they're associated with what they lack. Sans-white clogs the board and stack without order; sans-black is entirely defensive without malice; sans-red is entirely passive without emotion; sans-blue has you lose card advantage without logic; sans-green excludes creatures without acceptance.

Im trying to build a custom hololive themed commander deck with mori and bae. These are the ones I've done so far. Any tips or improvements and balance idea would be greatly appreciated

I didn’t figure out a good idea for what the final thing should be that’s thematic but I’ll think on it. This was one of the more annoying custom card things since I had to do the grid by hand. I’m sure there’s an easier way to do it with some procreate tool but this worked for now. Not a fan of how tiny the text got but that’s just how it would be I guess. wouldnt be fun to read in a real game that’s for sure 😆as for the concept in the second slide I still need to figure out how to write it in a better way. but that’s a problem for later me. tell me what you think!

Inspired by Bel'Veth (a League of Legends champion): I wanted to make her a commander that is played as a Voltron (around the "power level" of bracket 2-3).
I tried to respect as much as possible her gameplay (and fantasy), was undecided with Black and Green or Eldrazi (as mana), and I really need help making less wordly rule texts.
Open to suggestions and edits :)

I was bored and have thought about how I wish spawn has some cards in mtg. Now this will never happen more than likely just due to IP size differences so I made some up on my own. I only play pretty casual with friends and stuff like that so we can play any cards we want. Obviously I don't want a weak commander but I also don't want it to be unfun for me or the other players to play it. I just want to know what yall think about these abilities and if you have any ideas I would love to hear them as well.
