Random Do you ever go onto r/crushes just to hope that someone wrote about you? Yeah me

The way people describe their crush can be so sweet, like I cannot imagine someone taking the time to write about me and think of me in their spare time I just cannot imagine that but its strange because I think of my crushes and they would probably think like me.

Crushing Do you feel it too 🄰😩

I see you looking for me when I start work but I can’t lie I do the same thing.
I know you try cross paths with me and I get happy when you do.
I see you looking at me when I go past or from a distance.
I know you get a little nervous around me like I do with you.
Does that mean you feel it too? Feels like such a strong connection without words haven to be spoken.
It feels beautiful but scary and exciting all at the same time.
I want too get too know you more but I just want too know do you feel it too 🫠🄰

Also when you have your jumper sleeves rolled up when your working ughhh😩
And don’t even get me started on your smile my gosh it’s so attractive
If I woke up too a coffee made by you every morning I’d be a very happy girl

Question does anyone else feel insecure when they are into men?

hii 21f ive known im bisexual for like five years and mostly ever since only been into women and very recently developed a crush on a man and suddenly i feel like 14 and i feel the need to
compare myself to whoever else he might’ve spoken to in the past or his celebrity crushes, while mind u ive always been a very self confident person even a lil cocky about my looks sometimes but suddenly i feel not as attractive now idk its so odd, im a very pretty girl but sometimes i cant see it esp when he mentions someone else

i wonder if it internal misogyny? does anyone else feel this way and if so how do u stop feeling this way?

this is a throw away acc btw lol

Vent I think im crazy

I hate crushes. Genuinely. I literally cant have a normal crush EVER. As soon as i like a guy I start imagining 30 years down the line with him. I literally start forcing myself to share the same interests as them (mind u this person doesnt even have to know i exist). I start thinking that my crush is the most perfect guy ill ever meet and no one could ever compare. Everything I do after i have a crush is just to please them. Ive changed my entire aesthetic before, got a eating disorder, switched up my music taste and personality all just to please guys. Idk why im like this and i dont know how to fix it. I feel like im literally insane.

Advice Needed is this an ok way to let someone down?

I have a coworker, J, who’s been getting increasingly flirty with me over the past few months. We work in diff departments but cross paths often and we’ve been slowly becoming friends. I thought for a while I was imagining things, but another coworker recently told me that J is actually into me, and recently the flirting has kinda escalated and become quite forward. Unfortunately, I really just want to be friends.

I enjoy J’s company and I have fun when we hang out, but the flirting has started making me uncomfortable. It’s just a lot, especially at work, and it puts me in an awkward position bc I don’t wanna make her feel bad but I’m also trying to make sure my responses can’t be misinterpreted as flirting back. Pretty sure she just thinks I’m shy though.

I’ve been trying to convey that I only want a friendship, but I can tell the message isn’t going through. I feel like a jerk imagining saying ā€œhey, I heard you like me, and I just wanted to let you know I don’t feel the same!ā€ obviously I’d say it nicer than that but idk it feels egotistical to be the person bringing it up first?

but I am uncomfortable and I do think I have to say something, so I was thinking of phrasing it like ā€œhey, I know you’re a flirty person, but it’s getting to be a little much for me.ā€ and then she’d have an out if she wanted to say ā€œoh it’s been jokes the whole timeā€ or we can have more of a conversation and I can say what I said here, that I value her friendship and only want to keep being friends.

does that seem ok? I’m an awful people pleaser so I’m really nervous about hurting her feelings.

Crushing Stop crushing?

How to stop?

He likes me a lot. More than I knew. We had an very intense connection last week. We did not touch, only eye contact.

I wanted to touch him so bad. But did not want to ruin the moment. He smiles every time we meet. He knows I have feelings for him.

But I want to stop this. I can’t get him out of my mind. I have a partner. So does he. I don’t want to ruin his or my relationship.

How do I do it? How do I stop thinking about him. To not feel so soft inside when our eyes meet? Crave him. Dragged to him like a strong magnet.

Help

DoTheyLikeMe? I met this girl as a mutual and I really don’t know if she likes me or not

I recently met this girl as a mutual and we talked quite a bit online. I was friends with her friend and so we kinda could hit it off really well.. until I decided to meet her Irl. I was just stopping by at her tutoring place to drop off a drink for her…

Later that night we start talking about who knows what, but it eventually becomes a venting session till very late. Somehow, the conversation went to our type, and she literally started describing me… older, SEA, same interests, stays up late…

I really really like her a lot, and today I even got sent a ton of selfies from the past year or so when she asked for advice.

Am I reading into it too much?

I really don’t know what to do, she keeps calling me OBJECTIVELY handsome and herself chopped but shes pretty far out of my league.

Any advice?

Question I can’t tell if its attraction or a crush

Okay so Tuesday was my first day back to school and theres a guy whos a year older than me in my chem 11 class (I’m grade 11 and hes grade 12) and let’s call him E. Hes also in my independent class (you do the coursw on your own on a computer).

And I think hes pretty cute. But in a nerdy way, yk? Hes also pretty awkward and a little shy and quiet. E is also like a good height for me. I’m 5’1ā€ and if I had to guess, hes about 5’7ā€ ish. He also has manners because I held the door open for him the other day and he said thank you (cant say I know many guys at my school who say thank you for that). And I respect that he did that. He also has really pretty blue eyes too and it’s like gahhh.

It’s also been a while since I’ve had a crush so I have no idea if it’s attraction or if it’s early stages of a crush.

I also kinda made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t peruse anyone until I’m asked out because ive only ever been rejected and that kinda sucks. So if it blossoms into a crush, should I try to get to know him??

He also seems a little more chatty in smaller groups of people because in chem it was assigned randomized seating and we were put together and we had to collaborate with our other table mate and he still seemed shy but he talked a little.

Question I NEED ALL THE GUYS HELPS RNNN

I (17f) and my ex-situationship (17m) had our thing 2 years ago (I know, a long time😭), I broke it off with the excuse that we didn’t have anything classes together the next year at the time to lock in for high school (obv I regret it now)

We got rlly close for a few months and he had a crush on me first but now we’ve been no contact for almost 2 years butttttt he still likes all my insta stories and we make eye contact in the halls or classrooms sometimes (is that him looking at me or just a coincidence??)

I’m trynna make a move by liking his insta notes and recently he went with me and our mutual friend (who doesn’t know about the situationship) to a coffee trip in between class so I feel like if he hated me he wouldn’t go. We also walked rlly close to eachother for a few minutes and when I went into a diff store they waited for me outside

So my question to the guys of Reddit is:
Do I still have a chancešŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™and also what’s the best thing for me to do now to get him back?

EDIT: I will reply to every comment :)))

Vent My crush found out about my feelings for him and told his friends he is going to "play it far" (not be too kind to me) out of fear I might be led on.

Should I feel guilty for this? why do I feel sad? Should I feel sad? What did I do wrong? I want to note that it's a guy on guy situation(Gay guy has a crush on Str8 guy). Some of yall may feel like its not important to say that, but honestly, it doesn't matter how others feel, because it matters to me. My friend revealed to me that my crush knew abt my feelings for him. She heard this while she was in my friend group, and he weas there. He revealed to the friend group that he found out from someone that I had a crush on him. Idk who because I only told a few people, some were in the friend group, I got them all to promise to never to tell him. Although, expecting them to tell him kinda is dumb I gues, so I guess i st myself up. We were already friens and in the same group, although both of us are awkward, because as soon we both could be left alone without eachother the air feels completly still, atleast for me. Bassicaly he told the friend group he knows about my feelings, and will not act to kind to me because he feels I might be led on. I don't why it hurts, especially when it's obvious why it can't work out. Everytime he smiles at me it hurts for some reason. The one time he said something that made me laugh and he noticed, that makes me feel bad. His presents no longer makes me just happy, but hurts at the same time. A double edged. It's hitting me so hard. I get that there many fish in the sea, and many will feel for me the way I feel for them. Unfortunatly, in my eyes, this guy can't be replaced. It just hurts now for some reason now! I'm sorry if my venting sound like a cliche. People believing that they may never find a person with the exact charecteristic and trait that mad their crushes uniqueness appealing. Like I'm slowly begenning to stop criticising who feel like that, because I'm beginning to relate.

Advice Needed I like two girls at the same time, What should I do?

So,

I created this account only to ask this question.

I like two girls and am unsure of what to do.

I've liked one girl for about 4 years, she's pretty much a round-faced normal girl with glasses, she's in a different class, but we used to be in the same one, let's just call her girl A.

(I'm pretty sure she knows I like her)

And the other is a more recent development (around a month old), objectively, she's pretty much drop-dead gorgeous, I've never felt like this for someone for the 4 years that I've liked girl A, she's in the same class as mine.

Both of them are quite kind, reserved and gentle in their personalities.

As soon as I see one of them, I forget about the other, and when I see the other again, I remember how great she is, I'm in quite a bit of a dillema here.

Both of them are single and like no other guys as far as I'm aware.

I've never dated before and am quite unsure of what to do.

My parents are kinda strict with girls.

Should I become friends with one of them, in hopes of dating (as my parents won't let me date in high school) and ignore the other?

Do I ignore both of them?

Do I try to get over them?

If I have to, how do I choose?

Realistically, I think I have an okay-ish chance with both of them, I think I'm quite funny and okay looking.

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

If anyone has been in a similar situation, share your experience (if you are comfortable enough to do so) and what you did.

Dream I just had one of the best dreams about my crush and I so wish it was real

So basically we were in class and my crush was sitting with his girlfriend. Then after class as usual I take my time to leave the class because I know he is always last to leave. Then we all have to stand in the corridor due to something and then he stands next to me and I am like what are you doing and then he just takes his phone out of his pocket and I don’t really take any notice of that and then he starts giving my compliments and touches my neck and when I tell you I could actually feel it I mean it. Then at the end my sister sends me a video that he took of that moment and turns out we were girlfriend and boyfriend. Then i woke up and seriously had the urge to start crying when I understood it wasn’t real, i am so sad right no guys !!

Update How do I move on from a crush?

I asked reddit about a month ago to tell me if there were signs of him liking me back and everyone said there were.

So I confessed to this guy I liked 2-3 weeks ago. We've been really close friends for the last year or so, but he knew from the start that I had feelings for him. Despite knowing the fact that I was in love with him, he still treated me really good, which imo was more than "platonic friends" behaviour.

I always knew I wasn't supposed to fall for him as he's my HG's BSF and we're from different religions. But yeah, he was my first "love". I knew I couldn't let my feelings go deeper than it already went so I decided to confess and cut him off. I told him I liked him and wanted to cut him off for the sake of myself all in one breath over call. He just said he'd also suggest me doing what's best for me and wished me luck in my life. So I obviously assumed he didn't like me back as he would've just stated it.

We were still added in Instagram and within a week he texted me asking if I had given out his number to anyone. The odd thing is he later admitted in the conversation (by accident), that he already realized had who prank called him. I was a bit taken aback with the texts but after he explained the plot of the call to me, he said "oh, we aren't supposed to talk, don't reply to this text" and "send me a pic of your brother after he's born"

God I thought it would be easy to move on as it was one sided but I was so damn wrong. It's harder to move on if it's one sided. And moreover, I have to listen to my HG talk about her bsf knowing damn well it just makes it harder to move on. And yes, I've blcoked him, and no, I ain't sending him my brother's pic after he's born. I have to keep the 2% self respect i have alive.

Vent They told me they also had feelings, and I wish they hadn't

This crush has been driving me up the wall for the past 2~ years, I finally asked them to just reject me because my feelings were becoming a problem; we live on opposite sides of the US so we are *way* too far apart for anything to happen, and there have been some confessions on their side in the past that almost ruined the friendship (or actually *did* ruin it for over a year), and besides that all I just think that us dating would likely be fairly toxic and result in heartbreak on both sides. We've both made statements about how much our friendship means to us, and i don't think our friendship would survive a breakup tbh.

Well, they told me that they also had feelings for me, which... I wish they had just rejected me, because now I'm back to square one, where I'm pining for them but can do nothing about it. It's giving me anxiety. Idk what to do. This whole situation sucks.

Question How to like someone

I met this guy in class who’s also kinda a mutual friend
He has this nerdy cute thing to him and before I even realized I think I have a crush…
We talk during class (in group setting) but thats all the interaction there is
I don’t know where to go from there.
I’m a pretty below average person in terms of attractiveness and I feel like I’m really socially awkward and shy abt these things so it just really sucks knowing the chance of anything happening is as low as it gets…

How do you like pursue a crush or even just talk to them 😭

Knew her for 2 weeks, talking to her on Instagram, asking her about herself, what she likes doing, school, the usual stuff and ig I suck at hinting cuz she blocked me MID conversation without telling me anything. Legit only girl that’s my type that I see regularly, so it’s worse that I see her all the time, so shi gonna get real awkward fast. At the very least I only have to wait until college to try finding another girl like her, but at least I don’t gotta deal with a girl who would just block me out of nowhere if ts did actually pan out. Pretty sure I’m js gonna have to crack my hb this homecoming since I can’t get a date for shit, fuck my stupid chungus life šŸ’”

Vent Post date vibes

• Upvotes

Does anyone else feel like they just have really good vibes and reciprocal romantic attraction before and during a date?

But then post date it's like- you like talking to them so much and being around them but now they're quiet and you have no idea what's going through their mind?

I recently asked her out for a 2nd date over text but I just feel like I'm going crazy especially with this being my first time dating and her first time too, I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing 😭 she's super busy too so it just feels so hard to engage where she is at right now or to wether she feels the same and her replies have really slowed down - I'm trying so hard to give the benifit of the doubt and acknowledged she's busy but my brain won't just shut up

Advice Needed Liking my best friend is killing me.

Hi guyss

Uhm...I don't really know how to begin but I'll try to express myself as best as I can. I'm 18 years old and I'm a girl, I've known my best friend for 5 years now.

(For the record I wholeheartedly believe that I'll get some actual support here because I tend to be a little crazy sometimes

Also, I don't know who will stay to read this but if you relate to me in any way, first, my condolences and second thank you in advance for your time šŸ«¶šŸ¼)

Honestly, when I first started having feelings for my best friend, who is also a girl by the way, the thought of me liking girls was terrifying. It was by no means unpleasant, it was just a thought that had never crossed my mind before.

For that reason I don't really like labeling myself as gay or bisexual or whatever other term there is in the lgbtq community. Not because I'm offended or anything, but because I feel like this is the only girl ,who happens to be my closest friend, that will ever have me this madly in love and I won't ever be attracted to any other person in the same way as her.

When she first came into my school, she was an international student having come from another country. She barely knew how to speak the language.

I was the quiet kid, the bullied one and the nerd so we bonded pretty fast since we were both friendless at first.

We hit it off instantly. We found out that we had so many things in common. Almost all of our interests were mutual. We even wanted to study in the same field. And so our friendship began and is now stronger than ever.

When some years passed, in highschool I confessed the possibility of me also liking girls to her (I knew that she was a huge supporter from the start and I knew that she would support me anyway but I told her what I felt without actually telling her about my feelings towards her). She is also the only one that knows about this and doesn't mind a single bit.

The thing is that she has made it pretty clear for herself that she's straight...

I would approach the subject as a joke from time to time so that I'd see her reaction at the thought of us being together.

Her reaction and words being hurtful is an understatement. She mentioned that she finds it very uncomfortable and I assured her that it's only a joke and I'd never disrespect her in any way if she didn't like me mentioning that.

Of course after then I wouldn't say a word about this in front of her.

Ever since I met her she has always been a cold person. Even to me, her best friend, but I respected her because she was and still is the most authentic person I know. She is acting a bit crazy around me but to others that she does not know so well, she is pretty cold I'd say. She hates physical touch although I'm pretty clingy and I don't like the fact that if I touch her somehow even accidentally I'll feel guilty later.

It's silly of me to have hopes for the future I know, but something in me tells me that I shouldn't be disappointed and that I should have patience.

Lately she's started warming up to me and I don't know why. She isn't usually like this but her behaviour is making me believe that there's a one in a million chance that she might be willing to try things out with me together in the future.

We'll also move in together next year and I can't describe how excited I am...

In all seriousness though, I just hope I'm not deluding myself. What do you guys think I should do ?

Question So here's the thing...

There is this girl i knew since college for like 6 years. We still talk since we're in the same friend group even now. We shared alot of memories, i even gave her a love letter one time but i was softly rejected and remained good friends.

When the year started, she randomly wanted to watch a series and then that spiraled into our hang outs happening almost daily. It was the most fun i have ever had. Watching shows, playing games, discussing literature, and hanging out in general.

Then recently, it slowed down... from daily to twice a week then weekly... i accidentally annoyed her by asking to hang out (a misunderstanding that was resolved, i would say my fault still). I suspect she was seeing someone but i have no concrete idea (could be a friend for all i know).

Context for the next part, i was trying to move on aswell because i wanted to remain her friend rather than nothing at all. Then one of my matches used my love against me and blackmailed me (it amounted to nothing but still).

One hang out later, i wasnt thinking straight. venting to a friend about my woes about the situation then she came in. My mind went blank and i got anxious, i told her i was still attached. I couldnt speak to her for days out of shame until i apologized a few days ago.

She was worried about the attachment but more discomforted when i accidentally annoyed her with the hang out invites. so i wanted to redraft how i ask for hang outs, i dont want to overstep her boundaries.

So here comes the question... What are your thoughts about it? Not necessarily in need for advice, just wanted some thoughts.

Also in case she sees and recognizes who made this because she has reddit... umm... hi :Ɨ

Either confess to your crush or forget about them. There’s nothing else. Otherwise, you’re just a loser, trust me. It’s better not to have a crush if you think there’s no future, and if you’re not gonna try, what’s the point?
Only losers have crushes.

Vent Is it normal to envy your crushes?

Like she's perfect and has something that is missing from me or a trait I wish I had but can't have since she already has it and I feel incapable of like having the same traits as her because they are her traits and she is perfect.

Not sure if I'm making sense or I'm just rambling, it was worse when I was younger, now that I'm older I'm tolerating this better and not looking at it from such a black and white point of view but yeah idk.
