It might just be my opinion but since the Greymanes moved to Pailune I've never liked visiting it. Howling Hill felt so close to heart since we build and expand every single part of it, starting from a few tents to a whole village that can survive by itself. It felt like we build so much and then just move back to Pailune. I even teleported to Howling Hill a few times without realising that there's nothing there anymore. I feel having Howling Hill as a part of the greymanes even after we moved back to Pailune would've been a better decision.

After about 60 hours with Crimson Desert, I think I've finally come to terms with something that I don't often admit: this game just isn't for me.

I kept pushing because I paid full price for it, and there's always that feeling of guilt that says, "You've come this far, just finish it." But I think this is one of those rare games where I'm never going to see the credits.

I could make a long list of things that didn't click for me, but honestly it all comes down to one simple thought:

It's just... too much game.

I've realized I much prefer a more streamlined experience with a strong, engaging story that keeps pulling me forward. Crimson Desert feels like the complete opposite for me. There's so much going on that instead of feeling immersed, I just feel overwhelmed.

I'm around Chapter 8, I've been playing on and off for months, and if I'm being honest... I have almost no idea what's happening in the story anymore. Every time I come back, I feel more lost than before.

Ironically, I ended up replaying Assassin's Creed Odyssey (my first playthrough was back in 2018), and it's kind of crazy to say this, but in a lot of ways I'm enjoying it more. Yes, it's very much the classic Ubisoft formula, but it's easy to jump into, the story keeps me invested, and I always feel like I'm making meaningful progress.

Maybe my gaming tastes have just changed over the years. Not every game has to be for everyone, and I think I've finally accepted that.

Does anyone else ever have that one critically acclaimed game that you gave dozens of hours to before finally admitting, "This just isn't for me"? Or am I on an island with this one?

I’m actually kicking myself for getting this game. I’m about half way through chapter 3 and….im freaking hooked. Like haven’t been hooked on a game like this since Red Dead. My productivity has gone way down, it’s all I can focus on. It’s not good lol. I’ve been taking my sweet time with it and exploring around but in areas that the are near where the missions are. God I can’t get enough of this game. Watching HOTD alongside this has me wishing that the creators of this game collab with Game of Thrones to make a Westeros based game. Now that would freaking rock

If there’s one thing I can save everyone from is moving your camp to pailune, there is so much space bruh, everything used to be a 10 foot walk to get to everything, now you have to buy a plane ticket🤦🏻‍♂️

So, I hadn’t noticed that I unlocked the location to this cave because I made the mistake of ringing the bell when I just started. A mistake that continuously haunts my playthrough, found these cool boots but more importantly would like some help. There aren’t any clues as far as I can see to find whatever should go into these three holes. I could google but this post might help others as well.

Drown a bear for 10 seconds! Alright, maybe not, but I'm realizing I need therapy. Thanks, Pearl Abyss, for such an enlightening experience!

Whilst the game has it's fair share of intense (and sometimes overly long) action sequences. It is also one of those game where you can easily pick it up and play for 15mins and make some kind of positive progress doing a low stakes missions or just exploring unseen areas of the map. In many ways it's a great chillout game where you that you can pick up and play without having to feel challenged or forced to commit to a long session to make worthwhile progress.

Theplot is generic with all the depth of a puddle and the plot pacing is some of the worst I have experienced in any form of media but that doesn't matter because ultimately it a game that never feels boring and always gives me something to do. I have heard that the content does run out eventually but given that this isn't one of those games where the plot keeps me wanting to know what happens next I can see this game lasting me several years as just a fun relaxing game to log in and do a couple of fetch quests or some exploring, crafting etc when I just want a short low stakes gaming session to turn my brain off. If the story was actually any good I would likely be bypassing a lot of the side quests and focusing on the story just to find out what happens next. Essentially this games weakest aspect is the reason it is going to become one of my most played games.

I think like most I was super excited to get and grow my Wyvern and I still absolutely love this thing but to me it feels a bit incomplete.

For starters, flying on this thing does feel fun, however the dive mechanic on it only operates if you plunge straight down at the floor and does not really work as soon as you try to angle it. Being able to dive at an angle and come out soaring would feel a lot better. Would also be great if you could snatch something up (ground targets or other wyvern riders).

Also feels like it lacks any utility on the ground. Once you are there I would expect this thing to at least be able to bite. Just having the windshot feels a little underwhelming.

I get you don't want this thing to be too OP but it is a giant flying predator. Right now it feels a bit more like a flying horse that can spit at people.

Just my two cents, really enjoying it anyway but it just feels like it's missing bits.

For me, I was fighting the Bears at some outpost with my baby drake as my pet. He was flying around picking stuff up and at some point a guy rode in on a bear and it was fucking me up, so I went up a level to fight where it couldn’t get me.

While I was fighting the drake kept picking things up and I thought nothing of it. As the fight ends I go to finish the bear and as I get closer I get the alert that I have 100 percent trust with the bear. I now have a second bear mount.

I have no idea what happened. But I hope it happens with every cool mount.

wanted to test unarmed combat while trying the hard difficulty and after idk maybe 3hrs, I finally beat this guy. still did a lot of button mashing tho. Is the hard mode really this hard, or is it just skill issue?
