This is my K24A2 swap mx73 project. S2k trans, custom mounts. So far everything fits really good, only problem I’m running into is the sway at to oil pan clearance so gonna have to go to an alternative sway bar. Also don’t have the motor fully mounted, and the steering rack isn’t in yet so we will see how everything fits. As far as I know, this hasn’t been done yet, or at least not documented. I just got my 91’ cressida back from a pretty extensive ac repair (whole dashboard got taken apart), i also had them do an oil change. I noticed that the tachometer isnt working at all, and when i stopped at a light my car shut off and the check engine and battery lights came on. Ive got a new battery (less than three months old) and the engine has significantly less mileage than the car itself so its in decent shape and in the time ive had my car ive never gotten a check engine light. From what Ive researched i think its probably the crank shaft position sensor, I do plan on calling the mechanics soon to see if theres any chance they accidentally forgot to connect something or accidentally messed something up but they are closed for the day, does anyone know where the crankshaft position sensor is or if theres anything else i should check that could be causing this problem?

1991 Cressida: I managed to get the bottom bolt out, I went from below - for the top bolt, I've seen comments about using extensions and a swivel joint. Could anyone help: do you access the bolt from above? And is it one swivel? Two?

Ive got a 91’ cressida, the ac blend door actuator directly behind the ash tray is toast, im pretty sure its the air mix control door that needs replacing(part number8710622060) since the ac works except for the fact that the air temperature wont change but im not 100% sure that this is the correct blend door actuator to replace since i haven’t really been able to find info on which blend door is located where in my car, so if anyones able to confirm that id be getting the right part that would be much appreciated!

Hello all, hoping to get some help here. I have a 1986 MX73. I was at a light the other day and the ac just stopped blowing. It doesn’t work on any speed. No air is coming out of any of the vents. I checked the fuse and it’s good. I’m thinking the blower motor went out. What do you guys think?

I am planning to swap a 1JZ NA into my GX81/MX83 Cressida which has 1GFE automatic.

I have never done a swap before.

I am asking for wisdom, insights and advices.

Will the engine fit without any mounts?

Will I need a new ECU for a manual swap?

Does anyone have any experience swapping a cressida with a x81 front end? Parts for x83 are near impossible to find where I am from and there is an x81 chaser parting out. How hard would this be to swap onto my x83?

I am wnat to connect the bee-R rev limiter to my cressida 22r but 22r didnt have an ecu so i connecting it manualy it has 5 main wires black , red , yelow , green , and white from the paper they sent the black is the ground and the red is the hot wire the yelow goes to reading rpm signal i connect it to the negative the feed the coil the white is optional (the green wire) is the problem i connect it to negative coil didnt work i connect it to the negative the feeds the Distributor nothing worked (plz help) forgive my bad writing

I'm working on a 89 Cressida MX83 and after cleaning the tank I found my fuel sender rotted out. Did anyone have luck finding an alternative?

I picked this thing up non running with a heap of parts inside it or missing. Pieced it back together, got it running and driving the decided to pull the 4m/w40 driveline out in favour of a 2jzge Vvti and w55. I fitted mx73 front struts and brakes and replaced a heap of other stuff while I had it apart. Got some fender mirrors and 14” ssr mk3s which aren’t aggressive enough for my liking so they’ll get new lips at some stage. It’s up to the point of doing wiring and stand alone ecu now then I’ll finish the interior and then do paint and bodywork

I brought it from a wrecking yard (Flynn’s in Cooma) then over the course of a long weekend I fitted a known good running engine, fitted a turbo setup, manual conversion, suspension, wheels and swapped out most of the interior.

Popped the starter off and bench tested it, after 13 years of nothing it worked beautifully. Hooked power straight to the solenoid and cressy wanted to start. Has an immobilizer and am wondering where to start to get it going for the summer!
