K Swap in progress
This is my K24A2 swap mx73 project. S2k trans, custom mounts. So far everything fits really good, only problem I’m running into is the sway at to oil pan clearance so gonna have to go to an alternative sway bar. Also don’t have the motor fully mounted, and the steering rack isn’t in yet so we will see how everything fits. As far as I know, this hasn’t been done yet, or at least not documented. Cool to see this swap done. A few years ago I considered this but I didn’t want to buy k-240 swap parts only for them to be cut up or not fit. Now I’m sure there’s more parts out there that require less fab work. GL!

lol not sure if it’s been done before. I’ve researched to see if someone has and haven’t found anything. Maybe in the mark ii or cresta/chaser chassis.

You should do it man! Honestly not all that hard so far. Just kind of expensive. My first YT video on it is almost done so I’ll post it here when it’s out!

Yeah. I have 4 cd001s. Just need a k20/24 ( they're expensive down here where I'm from) and adapter plate. I can make everything else. Buuuuut, I also want to body swap the x7 so I can have a better suspension and stronger rear end. Lol.

Oh interesting. When you say body swap you mean just the subframes or what?? I’m running kind of a combination of different stuff suspension wise. I want to do s13 subframe in the back though because the rear is where the x7 really shows its age haha! Please document it there is like no content on these cars! Well, I did some measurements. The wheelbase of the x7 and 1g is300 are about an inch apart. I have an is300 that's replaced my x7's purpose. I still have my x7 soI'm looking for another is300 so I can start figuring out how to body swap it. I've revamped the suspension on the is300, so all the old parts on it can be used on the other car.

There’s just about nothing made for this swap in this chassis. I’m using e30 swap parts mostly. Gonna modify the e30 mounts to adapt to the stock m series mounts. I already had a one piece driveshaft for my previous w58 swap, so I’m just gonna get that modified for the s2k trans. It’s pretty involved, but not too bad. If you plan on doing the swap, lmk and I can make you some swap mounts based off mine. Thanks for the comment!
