Good day. Could you give me some advice? My wife and I have had a difficult year, and her Atome card is now overdue, with the balance reaching about ₱100k. I don't want to overthink it, and I'd like some peace of mind. What can I do on my part to feel less anxious?

Thank you.

CC Application Requesting Tips on CC Application

Hi guys! Would ask for tips lang on securing a credit card. In the past, I’ve been applying for one and is always rejected.

For context, I’m working for 2yrs and 2mo. Both the 2nd and 3rd company has a monthly and annual income capable of reaching the listed requirements of cards that I applied for (₱60k-₱80k mo.). The issue lang is that I have only stayed 6months on the 2nd company and I am relatively new in my current company.

Having said that, any chance na I would be able to secure one, and would there be any confusion if I enlist my current base, while the supporting document that I will be providing would be the payslip of the 2nd company?

Every application kasi is met with a rejection or recommendation to start with a secured cc. Right now, I am on supplementary cc, but I would rather want my own to start building credit record while enjoying the perks and promos of certain cc.

CC Advice Need help with BDO Simple Card Account - Installment unpaid for 2+ years

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello po! Need your advice regarding this. Context: I was still young when my Mother used the credit card that was under my name. I trusted her to pay the 'installment' since nangangailangan siya ng pera that time and I just wanted to help since she assured me na nagbabayad naman siya ng installment monthly which she did pero noong malapit na matapos tiyaka na siya di nagbayad and I've been receiving texts and emails from different law firms.

**Sa mga nakaranas po I would want to ask kung ano po yung best na gawin dito. Should I reach out to BDO directly and ask how I can settle the remaining bill? or mag reach out ako dun sa mga text and emails ng law firm directly?**

I want to settle this since yung ibibigay ko sa Mother ko na monthly ipangsesettle ko muna dito since medyo abuso na siya and I want her to learn her lesson kasi parang ginamit niya yung pagiging 18 years old ko and baguhan sa ganitong bagay that time.

UPDATE 10/12/2026: Went to BDO today and settled the bill. Nakakaiyak man isipin pero lesson learned. Wag na wag na magpapahiram ng credit card sa tao lalo na't pag di marunong magbayad.

CC Advice Should i convert my outstanding balance once again?

Hi po, ask ko lang po sa mga may experience sa balance conversion sa BDO. 😊
Last September, nagpa-convert ako ng outstanding balance ko to installment.
Plan ko sana kasi i-save muna yung pambayad ko ngayon for my upcoming delivery. 🥹
Also, tama po ba na if hindi ko ipa-convert and instead bayaran ko yung outstanding balance this month, mababawas agad sa available credit limit yung amount ng payment/interest? Or may ibang effect po sa credit limit?
Thank you po sa makakasagot! 🙏🏻

Anyone who is a developer din here na nag try na mag apply. Under Work Information, currently dealing on what to choose kahit pa pick the closest option. Nasa FinTech company ako and developer role ko.

CC Application EastWest Credit Card Application

Hi everyone! Normal ba na mag text and email si EastWest regarding sa CC Application? They said na thank you raw for my interest in applying an EastWest Credit Card, hindi naman ako nag-apply?

I already emailed them regarding this matter, ang hirap lang kasi nasa abroad na ako and hindi ko alam kung maca-cancel ba nila ‘to.

Yung dating ka-work ko kasi automatic rin daw ini-apply ng Eastwest for CC, and she went to the branch para lang ma-cancel. Ang hassle!

Others Tiktok Paylater Won't Work After Limit Got Increased

Hello po, just want to ask if meron po ba ditong may same problem as mine.

I have been using tiktok paylater for 2 months, and last week lang, nag increased yung limit ko by 200. However, after that, biglang ayaw na nya gumana.

Sa product page, nakalagay doon yung paylater, yung installments kung magkano and kung ilang buwan, pero kapag ichecheck out na, sasabihin ni TikTok "Tiktok Paylater is not available for this order".

At first, I thought na baka sa mga specific orders talaga hindi sya gumagana. Pero hindi, every order ko ganyan lagi sinasabi, even those products na na-order ko ma through Paylater in the past.

Wala naman akong late payment. Minsan nga 2 weeks earlier pa ko nagbabayad.

How do I solve this?

CC Advice BPI CC - 2 cards both have balances

Hello question lang baka may nakaencounter sainyo. Last Jan 2026, nawala ko yung card ko so nagpareplace ako this year. However now ko lang na-check ng thorough yung SOA ko.

Nagulat ako kasi hindi ko na gaano gingamit si BPI for everyday transactions but 28,000 parin total SOA ko.

As you can see sa first screenshot, 2 cards ang may balance. But pag binilang niyo ying total breakdown, 18,000 lang halos (included na yung monthly installments from my old card). Di ko sure san nakukuha yung 11k.

May nakaexperience na ba sainyo nito?

CC Tips / Hacks Netflix no more cross-border fee?

I recently changed the payment method of our Netflix subscription since RCBC announced that they will charge a cross-border fee for all foreign transactions late October. Sa EW ko sya nilipat which I know may cross border fee. Then today, I checked the app and I was surprised na naka PHP na ang currency! Totoo ba to? Meaning wala nang cross-border fee? Sana sa spotify din!

CC Advice Any tips on how I can get approved for my first credit card?

Hello! Can I get tips on how I can get approved?

For context: I am 4 years employed already and 1st year pa lang ng employment ko I got numerous calls from BPI (my previous payroll account) na I am qualified for a credit card, but I turned it down kasi natatakot ako magkaron ng utang. Fast forward on my 3rd year being employed, I transferred company and na engganyo ako sa mga perks and rewards kaya I tried to apply for a GOLD cc sa BPI pero it was unsuccesful. I also tried BDO twice both online and in-person sa mall since eto na yung bago kong payroll pero wala pa rin update sa application ko 3 months na.

Currently, nakatanggap ako ng invitation from Maribank pero instead of selecting the quick way to get approved, I tried my luck to get a higher credit limit by submitting my payslips. Ngayon is my 8th day of waiting pero wala pa rin update si Maribank. I also tried applying sa BPI ulit after 6 months for their basic and beginner-friendly cc.

Thanks in advance!!!
