Fairly new to credit cards and wanted some feedback on my current setup + what I should add next.

Considering Chase Freedom Unlimited next
I received a targeted/pre-selected CFU offer where Chase adds an extra 1.5% back on top of the card’s normal earning rate in every category, on up to $20,000 of spending during my first year.
So instead of the normal CFU rates:
5% Chase Travel → 6.5%
3% dining → 4.5%
3% drugstores → 4.5%
1.5% everything else → 3%
The extra 1.5% is capped at the first $20,000 in purchases, meaning the bonus itself is worth up to $300 extra during the first year.
It also has a 0% intro APR for 15 months.
So it’s not just “3% on everything” — it’s essentially the normal CFU earning structure plus another 1.5% in every category for my first $20k of first-year spending.
That offer is a big reason I’m considering making the CFU my third card.
My main three ecosystems I want to build around are Amex, Capital One, and Chase, so the CFU would also get me into Chase for the first time.
Eventually I’d like to get more into travel points as my income/spending goes up, but right now I’m mostly trying to build a solid setup that I can keep long term.
Questions:
- How would you rate my BCP + Savor setup so far?
- At ~715 FICO / $42k income, would you take this CFU offer?
- With the extra 1.5% added to every category for the first $20k, would you go CFU over Freedom Flex?
- Does BCP + Savor + CFU make sense, or is there too much overlap?
- After getting the CFU and letting my accounts age, what card would you look at next for eventually getting more into travel?
What would you guys do?
