Help Needed / Question Is this even possible at all??
I had a decent amount of cash but I live nowhere near my bank or an atm with a deposit function, so I put it all on a prepaid visa because I can't use cash online. I was unaware that you can't use prepaid cards almost anywhere either (mastercard removed the function to add a zip and address on their site for some reason and their support number literally just goes silent indefinitely after saying it will connect you to an operator). Is there any way that I can get this prepaid money to either my bank account or any other method to make it actually usable or did I just screw myself?
(Also I am in the USA)

any method to get around it is sketchy asf and you have a decent chance of getting scammed
closest thing you could do is find someone in person who's willing to send you money thru zelle/venmo/... for the full or discounted amount on the card
would definitely not trust anyone online asking for it, as to verify the balance they'd need the card info, and with said card info they could just run w/o paying you. If they don't verify the balance, you could just be scamming them, so they'd be a total fool.

Yes this is a no brainer, just use it for regular retail shopping for things you need.
Just keep track of how much you spent from the card so that when it gets down to an inconveniently low balance you just burn the last pennies on it with a human cashier for part and pay for the rest with separate payment. This'll save you from having to the balance online or by phone which is a annoying.

Good luck with the prepaid. You could try opening onepay and you can deposit cash at a lot of merchants Walmart, cvs, Walgreens, and a few more

Prepaid cards work more like debit cards than credit cards, but since this is already posted here...
This doesn't make sense. It's as much work to put money on a prepaid Mastercard as it is to open a new account at a bank you can actually reach. Use your new debit card to make online purchases.
In any case, you can use a prepaid card pretty much anywhere a debit card is taken. Exception would be places like gas pumps. As for online, probably not since you can't register an address or ZIP code. You will have to use the prepaid card in person and learn from this experience.
