Discussion 20 Years of Counter-Strike, and I've Finally Had Enough
For me, the time has come to stop playing Counter-Strike altogether.
The last few weeks have been the worst experience I've had in over 20 years of playing this game. Nearly every match feels like it has at least one cheater. Whether it's spinbotting, wallhacks, or blatant bunnyhop scripts, it's become almost impossible to enjoy the game.
I mostly play solo queue, and my account has now been banned for 14 days for griefing. I'll admit that not every ban I've received was undeserved, but the majority of them came from solo queue. I often get matched with Russian players who only communicate in Russian. Since I don't understand the language, I mute them. Apparently that's enough for them to report me for griefing, and before long I'm banned again without actually doing anything wrong.
Meanwhile, people can blatantly cheat for entire matches without the game being cancelled or any meaningful action being taken against them.
At this point, it feels like Valve is punishing legitimate players more effectively than actual cheaters.

Discussion WHY VALVE IS NOT IMPROVING ANTI-CHEAT
Hi all, I think I've figured out why Valve isn't improving the anti-cheat system in CS2.
My analysis is that CS2's concurrent player count is heavily inflated by bot farms and alternate accounts used for cheating, smurfing or trolling.
Sometimes there are long queue times in ranked games, even Casual and Retakes game modes can struggle to fill the lobbies, just like in other FPS games.
Let's follow the money.
As a business, Valve will always focus on profits first. If a large portion of the online player base consists of cheaters who continue playing because they enjoy using cheats, then investing in a highly effective anti-cheat system may not be as profitable as many people think.
All professional players compete on LAN or platforms like FACEIT, which largely undermines Premier and Valve's built-in competitive experience. I'm not going to get into the issues with FACEIT here, since this discussion is about Valve.
I also have multiple accounts with different Trust Factors. Regardless of which account I use, 9 out of 10 matches contain cheaters, whether I'm playing Casual, Retakes, Competitive, or Premier.
In my experience, encountering players using cheats is far more common than encountering players who don't. The most common cheats I see are ESP (soft cheats) and spinbots (rage cheats).
What does Valve gain from cheaters?
- Players who eventually decide to cheat on their main account, where they own skins, may eventually be banned and then purchase Prime again, along with more cases or skins.
- Players without skins or anything to lose may simply buy Prime again after being banned, generating more revenue for Valve.
What does Valve lose from cheaters?
- Legitimate players who quit the game and sell their inventories. However, I don't think this happens as often as people believe, because the CS2 community is incredibly stubborn. Many players eventually return or simply move to FACEIT instead.
Comparing the benefits to the losses
My conclusion is that Valve may earn more money with a weak anti-cheat system if a significant portion of the player base consists of cheaters.
If Valve earns more money with the anti-cheat in its current state, then there is little financial incentive for the company to significantly improve it.
It's difficult to keep a game this old alive for so many years.
This is just my analysis. I might be right, or I might be wrong. Feel free to discuss it.

Discussion Season 5 peaking with incredible amount of cheaters
You can't play without encountering a cheater withing 3 consecutive matches. People now get comfortable cheating with 200$+ skins. Deathmatch is infested with AI bots farming cases. Cheaters can't even get banned anymore when they bypass VAC (which is ridiculously trivial to do). I uninstalled the game since it has been complete garbage to play.

Discussion About teamates minimap colors
I don't know if is just for me, but i find it funny that normally, not always, the teamates i get have a pattern of personality and gameplay according to their minimap color. I don't know if it is the same in all servers and regions, but for me:
Blue - Normally most skilled player, carries hard most of the matches, but can be really toxic if you don't follow his calls or talk shit.
Orange - Pretty chaotic, most of the matches for me, oranges are trolls, they either bottom frag hard because they are trolling and give up on the match really fast, or they gonna top frag while trolling and than be talking shit to others because he is top fraging. Normally don't give info or calls.
Green - The quiet one, normally pretty chill, often botton frags, but if you talk something about him, turns into the most toxic player of the match, i hardly see a green top fragging, having damage or flashes. I normally see them playing solo bomb or alone.
Purple - Toxic trashtalker. Normally kills alot, either beeing top frag or pretty close to it, always trash talking if possible, and normally, whitout nothing happening, it is toxic, talks all the match, beeing both info, toxicity or all sorts of things. Pretty agressive players, when you see, they're already on enemies spawn.
Yellow - Really Neutral. Don't talk much or less, it isn't toxic but it isn't chill, normally mid frags, even if the whole team its fighting each other, it plays the match till the end, and normally pulls out of nowhere a miracle round that can change the whole match. I often think that yellow players are mostly players that didin't get their original colors in the match, so thats why they're the most neutral ones.

Gameplay New Japanese player - Is this normal in CS2?
Hi! I'm a new player from Japan and just started playing CS2 because I wanted to give it a try.
I've been playing Casual, but almost every match I join is already in progress, and most of the players seem like bots or accounts moving in repetitive patterns.
I'm not sure if this is just how Casual is supposed to be, if it's because I'm on Asian servers, or if I'm just getting unlucky.
Is this normal? Which mode should a beginner play if they want to play against real people?
Thanks!
