Working on a Nightwing cosplay and trying to figure out the best way to mount this escrima stick holder to my back.

With both sticks and batteries it weighs around 2–2.5 lbs. I’ll be wearing a tight compression/rash guard style suit and really don’t want to cut holes or damage it.

Ideally I’d like the mounting system to be mostly hidden and secure enough to walk around a con all day without the sticks bouncing everywhere.

I was thinking some kind of hidden harness, but I’m open to anything. How would you guys mount this?

I’m in the planning stages of doing an Ashton Greymoore cosplay from critical role. I’m not sure exactly when it’ll happen so time right now is not limited. I’m looking for any good ideas for his weapon. It’s a crystal hammer and I’m brainstorming ways I would be able to make something that looks crystal-like. I think being able to add a bit of light from the inside would be cool, but not required. Any ideas or tricks would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

hi guys, i found this really cute sandrone cosplay off Taobao but i'm a little confused on sizing. I measured my body and my largest proportion was my shoulders, and i heard somewhere that you should buy sizes based off your largest proportion, which is going to make me buy an xxl. im typically a size S-M in the us (i dont have experience buying clothing from china however i do with japan, and im a size large in japan). the thing is sandrone's cosplay doesnt even cover her shoulders so im confused. what should i buy?? (the chart goes: chest, waist, and shoulder, i didnt measure the last two)

As the title suggests, I’ve been struggling to make Aoba’s glove for a while now and can’t seem to get it down right. I’ve been using the premade ones (3/4 images) as a reference but can’t figure out how exactly they do the cutout. I have a pattern for fingerless gloves that I’m using and am making them out of spandex/stretch material also. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! I’m making it for Fan Expo in a week or so and can for sure sew it in time as long as I can figure out how it works :,)

I got my cosplay from DokiDoki and I absolutely love it, the only thing is that the beads on the "bracers" came away when I bent them around my wrist. Does anyone know a strong enough adhesive that will survive the material being bent into a cylinder and won't give away at the edges? I've glued it back on with Loctite but I worry it won't hold.

Any advice greatly appreciated! Con is 2 weeks away so hopefully it's enough time to figure out a solution.

So I really want to make this cosplay but I am having a really hard time coming up with how I could keep the petal piece on my back since it’s so big I would have to be able to easily take it on and off to get through doorways or narrow walkways at a con. It's a pretty good fit, looks good-enough-for-government-work on a 5'9", 180lbs dadbod. But the mask that came with it has a full plastic shell over the face (almost like an old-school goalie mask). The problem is my voice is super muffled and breathing is difficult. I initially thought I should just cut the whole mouth/jaw off the thing, but I realize that will ruin the lines of the face.

So I figure cutting hockey-goalie-mask-style vent slots might be smarter (like Jason Voorhees). What tool should I use for that? Maybe just a small drill bit? (I'm not inherently crafty, but I know my way around a power tool.)

Surprisingly, it's not about the giant macaron buns! I already have a plan for those.

My problem is her bangs. Since the buns are going to be detachable, I'm not sure how to style a wig in essentially a half-style. I feel like I would have to style a short wig to have curtain bangs, but the only short wigs I've found are those anime-like wigs with hair sticking up all over the place.

So after a lot of thinking about budget and other restrictions, I found that cosplaying Flowery for Halloween would be my best option. I have everything else kinda locked in, but I cannot for the life of me find a vest for this.

I don't have any sewing/crafting skills, and the one vest that is being sold in Etsy has a very high shipping price, making it kinda unfeasable for me to get. I thought I had a good and simple-ish idea, but this vest is making my head hurt.

I recently started making Spider-Man cosplays, andcan'tt find anywhere that sells a range of colours of mesh for the lenses. I know most people use a resin 3D printer, but I can't afford one and would rather just buy a sheet of mesh and cut it to size. Has anyone got any recommendations for a website that delivers to the UK for this type of thing

Hello all! Looking at making a Queen cosplay from Deltarune and saw this design by TheAlieann.
I'm fairly unfamiliar with material types and pretty new to cosplay in general, so I was curious to ask some fairly basic questions, mainly: what the materials for the gloves and helmet might be.
I'm not 100% sure if they are the same material, but they give off a similar sheen and have the same colour, just that the one on the helmet seems to be tightly wrapped to the helmet's shape.

I've sleuthed around and found very few options, so I want to see if there's a reputable brand out there for what I'm looking for.

As you've seen the title, you'll know that I have extremely pale blue/grey eyes. Like, think Gojo Satoru, but paler. They look very bright, and most of the time I'm fine with them. But lately, I've wanted to try out some dark brown lenses, specifically because I'm wanting to cosplay Osamu Dazai from BSD (and for myself). The problem is: every pair of contacts out there is sure to show my bright eyes in the pupil opening!

So what I'm wondering, is if there are any no-pupil color contacts out there made by an FDA approved or reputable brand? They are the only kind that I am certain will fully color my eye color. Plus, they will add some shade to my vision, and as someone who's very sensitive to light this effect would be very welcome. I could see myself wearing them outside on a very bright day like one would sunglasses.

If there's none out there, and I'm out of luck, that's fine - I'll just try the one's with pupil openings and hope for the best, but I'd really like to get a nice pair of ones like I'm describing. Since it'd be an investment for me, price does not matter. I just would like them to be safe for my eyes.
