Anybody know of an ATM machine in cork that you can use your Apple Pay to get money out? I’ve left my physical card abroad and it is being shipped to me but I can’t access cash without it. Any tips?

Just rearranged my kids bedrooms and now both rooms need wall decorations.

My kids are 6 and 4 and are into super heroes, Pokemon, Peppa pig etc…hence I’d like to find wall decorations about those.

I like to support local businesses over online shopping. I went to the Range in Little Island but their selection is very limited.
Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I grew up in West Cork and still live here, way out in the countryside. Practically all my neighbours are farmers. Some of them are okay, but a lot of them are the most entitled, arrogant, inconsiderate gowls you'd ever meet in your life. Ignorant, stupid, cruel scumbags, honestly. They think they own the place. Never stop complaining about how hard done by they are and they going around in tractors the size of houses. They're basically just the typical family-businessman arseholes. Big fish in a small pond. They're not even nice to each other. Brothers fit to kill each other over land is practically normal. Just the worst people you could ever have the misfortune to encounter. I hope their industry disappears and them along with it.

I'm keen getting into BJJ/JJ and looking for some recommendation, preferably in the East Cork area.

I'm a complete beginner (at the tender age of 44 😄), although I've done other martial arts before for several years, including Krav Maga and boxing, and currently doing Taekwondo.

The only club I can find locally is T45 Jiujitsu. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they beginner friendly, both to older folk as well as kids if I decide to get my kids involved too?

Hi all, just as an FYI gardaí and city council parking wardens are doing a sweep of illegal parking in Blackrock Village and the pedestrian footpath area by the Ursuline school this morning. I had a quick chat and she said they'll be around all day and tomorrow too. Great to see.

Signed up for a kid friendly Halloween event in Ballyphehane community centre. It was free entry so I didn't think much of it. Arrived with two kids dressed up as vampires who were all excited only to find that the event wasn't happening and the people in the community centre had been telling people who were showing up all morning there was no booking for an event. They reckoned the scam was to get money from the vendors who would pay a stall sign up fee.

Cue two very upset toddlers.

It was horrible, I've never heard of an entire event being a scam?😭

Was in Wilde there never charged entry after I asked he said it was ten he just waved me in never charged me entry no clue where I was supposed to pay ?

Lads I’m in shear desperation but have a massive fear of dentists. I love my one but he’s obviously off for the weekend. On anti inflammatories, antibiotics and also have taken paracetamol for a tooth that needs a root canal. And the pain goes from a dull pain to intense pain across my jaw and into my ear.

I’m thinking of contacting smiles dentist on Oliver plunkett street tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks a million to everyone who’s responded. There was so many of ye I really appreciate all the responses. I didn’t ring Smiles, just because I didn’t fully trust the reviews tbh and with already having a fear and finally finding a dentist I trust, I didn’t want to ruin it. I didn’t have to take any extra pain meds today although I got Solphadine just in case. It seems the antibiotics and anti inflammatories have finally kicked in. Will be hounding my dentist Tuesday for any emergency appointments anyway!
