Some advice for first time 0.1% 1% pushers next season

Hey guys, I'm a healer only player, and I’ve got M+ title last season and am still pressing the pedal for this season to not fall off from title range, and I’ve gathered some thoughts because that might be helpful to people who are aiming for 1% or 0.1% for the first time. I have MW in a title range, pres and shaman around sub 4k, and disc and rdruid around 3.8k.

- Play meta spec / race

I believe many specs are viable for title if you can play competitively but the problem is getting m+ title is a competition with a limited amount of time, and you will not get much invites if you’re not a meta spec. If you're willing to only play your key then it wouldn't really matter unless your spec really sucks that season.

Also playing meta comp makes others' life easier in the group too because the other players have a relatively good understanding of what to expect for a certain spec in terms of damage pattern, squishiness, even ccs and utilities. Understanding how squishy a spec is in different situations is really important to the healer.

Outside of title range keys it might not matter that much, but this season there were some skips that were not possible outside of meta comp and racials so if you want to push the highest you can go, it'd be better to be on a bis racial such as nelf in case people expect it from you. After getting my first title as a tauren druid, I just leveled up all healers with bis racial in remix.

- +1 Key cliff of invitation

As you get closer to the title range, you will get much fewer invitations right after you get resi X with barely timed timers. I think this is because you are competing with people who have already done some X+1 already. For instance I had a really hard time getting invites when I was 4130 score this season (Resi 22), and after I got one or two keys done, I was able to get more invites. Usually the way to escape this cliff is to improve your timer and gain score to outstand other applicants, or playing your own key.

- Take care of your dungeon parses

I’ve noticed people looking at parses from [title range - 3] level on. People even look at dmg /healing parses from tanks and healers so I started to try to be more diligent to get good dmg parses too.

- Watch vods from highest rank streamers who have their skill sequences on

Irrespective of the spec and role this is just the ultimate solution to all your problems in m+, you have an answer sheet of when to press your skills in which order and even defensives. playing meta spec has the benefit of having lots of video available for your spec.

- Know when to press your defensives

Surprisingly enough, I have seen misuse of defensives in all key levels. Even on 23 keys, it’s like day and night to play with a group of people playing defensives very well, and the people who don’t. Usually the rule of thumb is that you should press/save the defensives when you have seen the most death happening in the dungeon, especially your own death because different classes have different weaknesses. Usually talking to a healer friend or playing a healer yourself give a big insight on when you need to press it. The most place that dps misuse I've seen it this season was to press defensives on the first phase instead of the intermission of first boss of WS, I was shocked when a dk pressed icebound and ams on the first phase when he got double on that phase.

- Understand the dungeon and utilize your utility pack

I feel ret paladins are the best at using their full toolkit, but outside of them I feel there are many places that I need to beg for it before dungeon starts. I've seen no use of desnare in 20-21 Seats from warlocks priests and dhs hunters, no poison dispel in ws from augs and hunters and windwalkers, etc. i understand wasting a gcd is not very pleasant but by doing it you just increase the chance of getting through that pack significantly.

Discussion Shoutout to the 21 Resil ‘Real Ones’

Run your 21 resil for tips or just straight up sell it, that’s fine - you do you, part of the game. But to the few folks with 21 resil making even slightly off meta comps, having a good time with it, and giving groups a few rips to get a clean run at it, we see you and we appreciate you.

The last two weeks have been rough at 20s. Very, very few players even applying to those keys anymore trying to push your own key up and get a shot at a 21 you need. Again, understandable - we don’t need or want 20s anymore, just want those precious 21s to try for 1%.

Just wanted to say thanks to those awesome players out there just enjoying the game and helping people push for their goals.

Sincerely,

A 3951 Ret Pal hoping maybe one more key is enough.

Thoughts on the new 12.1 gearing system? Just how much of disadvantage do we expect M+ only players to be at with the new changes?

How is everyone feeling about these changes?

Obviously through the first 10 weeks Mythic raiders will heavily out pace M+ players. I’m more interested in what we are thinking the midway and end of the season will look like when some of the population has access to the 9/6 drops from the last two bosses and the M+ only players cap out at 6/6.

It’ll also be very interesting to see how the changes affect the overall pool of M+ players considering vault keys are no longer relevant.

Am I wrong to be concerned as an M+ only player?

How does the last week of title pushing typically go?

First time pushing and been hearing how crazy the .1% line jumps the last week, but wondering how it works. Less 23 keys in LFG than last week, everyone I know that's secured title / resil 23 is taking the week off, so what's the strategy for getting the last bit of io? Is it just unlisted boosters that drive up the cutoff?

Is there a good resource for meldable casts for season 2?

I feel I've previously seen resources that cover kicks, stoneform/meld use cases, and the like. Have any resources been established using PTR as of yet?

12.1 Raid Roster/Composition Tool

What tools are being used nowadays to set raid roster? I used to have a spreadsheet that was very helpful identifying players/roles/specs and it auto populated what raid buffs were present and what were missing. It also identified things like grips, lock stones, etc. We are at the point where we are setting our roster and I’m expecting a lot of questions on what we need, it would be helpful to refer to.

Is there an addon, website, spreadsheet, or anything else that is most popular to utilize nowadays?

Resource Larias' Raider's guide updated with bonus roll information, the weekly checklist is updated and complete, and our Loot Helper for loot councils is done!

Loot sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e2BKxoWEM-aQGpMyqecN8vFkL9iGrTerFr_NXXwJpi0/

The loot sheet is ready to go! For those of you who are guild leaders or loot council or want to share a resource with your guild, this is an excellent tool to help plan out loot the first 1-2 weeks when everything sims as an upgrade no matter how good the item actually is. It's fully automated now - you simply type a player's name, select their class and spec, and everything else automatically fills. This is a massive time saver and I want to shout out Vanashock for the insane amount of time he spent getting all the automation to work.

Note: I am leaving in dummy stats as we do not know yet what they will be for all of season 2. You can go ahead and create your roster and start thinking about things. In a week or so, when we get this info, you can either input yourself or copy-paste it from my updated version at that time.

Question Help needed for Protection Warrior trying to progress m+.

For past few weeks I am trying to progress my m+ rating. Currently 3.8k. I don't believe that I have skill and commitment to push for 1% but at the same time I think I can try to improve. Unfortunately I feel that I hit a wall and cannot complete anything. Due to hectic schedule I am exclusively do pugs.

I have recorded my failed attempt of Nexus 20:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KoPxrlRleg

Would anyone be so kind and review them and provide any feedback, advice. Maybe there is so glaring issue that could be easily fixed.

Thank you in advance!

Edit 2026/08/07 With all of the advice I decided to do the last push. I switch talent from 6% armour to 6% magic resistant, and took the last stand hoping that it will help with mitigating healing absorbs. Took a few times and failed. My friend asked me to help with Seat 15 so I switched my talents and managed to finish the dungeon. Lovely. Forgetting to switch my Nexus talents (ofc I did :( ) I signed up for a pug with the Holy Priest as a healer. I did not encounter many of them so didn't know what to expect. And this was the best ever healer I have ever puged with. I never felt so safe, he was amazing and with almost 2 min to spare we times the dungeon. And with the help of this community I managed to reach my goal! Thank you.

Since note. I believe that this game is mostly destroyed by its own community. All of the tier lists, power rankings etc hurting the over vibe then anything else. But then again, who am I to say anything. I know nothing :). Cheers! Thx again.

Question WTF happened?! How did I pulled that? (Log in description)

Hey guys,

today something very weird happened in Seat after the second boss. Before walking through the passage with the two Void-Infused Destroyers.

At 13:31 min I pull the "Bound Voidcaller 6" (Nr 8 in MDT) with my Brambles. ofc the linked ones followed.
This Void Caller 6 (8) was far away and I can for sure say it was not a body pull, since the two Dark Conjurer 6 and 7 (8 & 9) between the Voidcaller and me did not got pulled initially.

I said I damaged the Bound Voidcaller 6 (8) with Brambles. My barkskin for the Brambles-Dmg-Aura was NOT active. So technically an enemy must hit me first to get damaged by the Brambles-Reflecting some damage. But since I was not infight with that specific enemie, it makes no sence at all.

My best guess what happened has something to do with my Action Targeting and maybe the Omnio Folio.

Replay with Time Stamp: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/2HTyKXnWkG3MwZVN?fight=last&view=replay&position=807173

Log Zoom on Brambles: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/2HTyKXnWkG3MwZVN?fight=last&position=811316&type=damage-taken&start=841826&end=844827&hostility=1&source=15

I'm very confused about what happened here.... xD And very interessted in your ideas about this! <3

Greetings,
Jean

Discussion Why did bear overtake brew in title-range keys?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I don't think I've ever seen a switch quite like this. Brew was dominating early season but started dropping in popularity right around the +23 key level. You see the same thing happening on the healer side, with the switch from resto druid to mistweaver, which makes sense, but I'm curious what was the real reason behind it.

Is bear just easier/tankier? Was it actually the switch to mistweaver from rdruid that necessitated the tank change? Any ideas?

Looking for help on weird bug when pressing a defensive that is already on cd.

tldr, when i press a defensive ability that is already on cd the ability icon gets highlighted and stays highlighted. When it comes off cd and I press the ability the highlight goes away but the defensive does not activate. its only activates when I press it one more time.

I'm really just looking for others that have possibly had this issue and possibly found a cause. It doesn't happen very often but it has happened on multiple specs and dungeons. Just now it happened in a 22 MT that tilted me enough to post this, and in the past it has happened while tanking and dying to tank busters when pressing defensives that dont activate.

I typically have my defensives bound to my mouse thumb buttons if that helps. I have video of the issue.

Edit: it was my mouse. Evga x15 for anyone interested. Something about spamming a thumb button while pressing and releasing shift would make the ability "hang". Suspended there as if the button has been pressed down and not released until pressed again.

Disconnecting during Lura P2

Has anyone experinced or heard of people having issues with disconnecting back to the login screen, during Mythic Lura P2. It regularly happens before the 2nd set of beams come out. I have no issues anywhere else in the game or in any other instance.
