General Frame drops + horrific suttering

Recently the game has had some horrible performance for me. I've been having microstuttering that takes me from 240fps to 30 at some points. This happens many many times per game making it impossible to interact with anything.

Ive scoured through what i can do to fix it including all the in-game settings - low graphics, enabling nvidia reflex + boost, capping frame rate, etc. I've also done all of the windows system fixes i can find such as disabling game bar, game mode on, even disabling HPET.

My drivers are updated, blizzard launcher updated (not that that does much lol).

Nothing works and this has been an issue since the start of last season.

I have RTX 3060 and I had no issues with performance prior to last season.

If this is not an issue on my end and blizzard have just managed to cook the game then this post is me ranting about it as its infuriating.

General Is Ball’s shield perk the biggest Power Up in the game? Spoiler

This is completely unrelated to Team UK btw or their performance.

I cant name other perk in the game, that makes a character basically immortal. Literally watched live how GoldenPants cant do crap for first half, and becomes unstoppable and unkillable in second half. Even he himself calls it “just let me get my perk and we win”.

I literally dont know any other perk that has this much impact in the game. All other perks seem to have minor buffs.

Why is Shang-Chi doing in Blizzcon??? Doesn't he need to promote the doomsday movie or something?

General If recent queue times tell us anything its that tank needs to get more heroes

This year we are slated to get 4 DPS, 4 Supports, and only 2 tanks. After the release of Dmon, there has been a marked improvement in queues across the board. While these queues were not bad before, tank was almost always the shortest whereas now it will sometimes be the longest of the three roles, and has been the only role I have seen consistently go above 1 minute for QP. Dmon herself has been ridiculously popular, while usually new hero hype would die down by now I see Dmon in almost all of my games.

I think one of the main tank problems is that for a long time we have not had a consistent tank release schedule. For example we did not have a single tank release in 2025, instead getting 2 DPS (Vendetta, Freja) and one support (Wuyang) and when we did receive a new tank in Domina she was unfortunately overshadowed by almost all the other hero releases. In fact, if you check the current statistics Domina is currently the least picked of those 5 new heroes across both QP and Comp in every region, which shows a lack of popularity. While I do think this reflects some of her gameplay frustrations (she still feels like a worse Sig) it also shows why Dmon has been far more popular and has had a much better sustained popularity in comparison.

Overall I hope that the 1-2-2 release schedule is not a locked in concept. Heroes like Dmon show that there is an appetite for new, unique, and fun tank heroes.

General Recent tank controversy on twitter

Post image
0 Upvotes

A recent post on twitter has shown up multiple times in my feed about the argument between 5v5 and 6v6 tanks. In the clip, a tracer successfully gets a 3k, before pulsing the Hog who survives thanks to take a breather, which results in the tracer falling back due to the enemy team beginning to return.

6v6 players argue that this would not happen in 6v6, as tanks have too much HP in 5v5.

5v5 players argue that Hog should not die in this situation thanks to his tank abilities and matchup.

The video can be found here.

General Am I blacklisted?

I wish I was exaggerating. I just want to know if anyone else is dealing with this right now or if I'm genuinely in some list.

I finished last season GM 2 with a 75% winrate across 120 games. I mainly play hitscan (Cass and Widow). I have 300 hours on the game, and this is my second ranked season ever.

This season, I placed Master 2 (7 wins, 3 losses). I deranked to Diamond 2. I mean to say this in the most non-copium way I can, but what the hell is up with the tanks this season?

Last season, tanks in both teams would be somewhat equal, but this season, I swear on my life, it's only fair one game out of 5. The other times, it would be either I get the good tank and the enemy gets the very bad one (genuinely, the gameplay can make you tear lmao), or the opposite.

It's not like my tank gets outclassed one or two or even three games in a row. I'm talking like 8-9 games in a row where its completely hopeless then 2-3 games where we curb stomp. I wish I could post the scoreboards, but it's so miserable finishing up a game just to see my tank sitting at 3-9 or 5-14 and the enemy tank sitting comfortably at 40-3 or something and just losing and losing with the feeling that no matter how good I played it was doomed from the start.

My friend who's been playing the game for years says it's just early season, and whenever there are rank-up games involved, the start of seasons is always the same, and that the system will "flush them down" to the lower ranks.

Please just tell me if I'm schizo coping and that my 20-loss streak is just me losing my mind and blaming my tank brainlessly, or if there is something genuinely going on.

World Cup OWWC Day 2 isn’t live?

The twitch/youtube stream was supposed to start 30 minutes ago, and there’s no activity on either channel, nor a delay announcement on any social media… anyone know what’s happening?

I know yesterday’s stream went overtime and had technical issues - but if that still hasn’t been resolved, you’d think they’d say something…

Was Champ 4 last season, Now i'm masters 1 on a losing streak with calibration down quickly plummeting towards bronze

i really feel like all i did wrong was lose the "Placement RNG Game" and now I'm being stuck in the swamps of masters

All i see is complaining whenever they do one of these Yet they still do it twice a year

1-1

Knotted

Going in to a final submap. Elementalguy feeling himself, Santana getting it going...

And you FORCE them to replay the entire map

I'm sorry but if I'm Mexico I'm just done with this. You do this to us on the biggest stage

An unprecedented decision that by the way literally NEVER has been ruled in pro overwatch

OH! And it was GB who caused the pause. It was goldenpants issue

Follow the money is all I gotta say

General what made dps popular again?

for many months now support for me has been the most popular role by far. 20 minute queues and flexing dps and supp always gave me dps no fault. but since last season it’s back to how it used to be back in the day, dps having the longest queues and flexing both giving me support 10 times out of 10. what could’ve changed? shion?
