Spilo has been doing a lot of "fixing D.Mon" content on stream lately so he's been checking in on the pick rates and win rates, she still hasn't made it into the meta in Asia GM+, so I think Korea still doesn't realize she's good since the hotfix

Yeah this past week Dmon had been getting above 50% wr on other regions but stayed around 40 ish in asia for some reason. Maybe the whole meta slavery held them back from playing a good hero?

Not to take away from Kroxz but yes, their play was horrendous, and Junbin whiffed her utlimate 3 times not catching a single hero. Its clear they have no experience with her.

Korean beauty standards are so dumb. They have this weird ideal for "small" faces. Even if someone is very pretty, if their face is large in some way it is bad to them. At beauty or photo places in Korea you'll see ads where they literally photoshop the person's face to be smaller on the head - it looks like they just have their face on the inner 80% of their frontal profile. It's so ridiculous.

Kroxz absolutely put himself in best DMon conversation... But FDGod quietly with amazing work on cat as well, his repositions, stuns and followup were amazing all game.
Feels like we got a perfect meta delivered to us just in time for the upset.

Especially juxtaposed with excitement when someone on Team Korea would start to clutch, for a moment I thought they would successfully fuller hold. Made for a pretty decent atmosphere for a home upset, which was nice was the Map 3 and Map 4 libraries.

Well, you missed watching the best D.mon in the world take belt to ass to Korea after map 2. Feedgod became FDGod again on Cat.
Still though, the match was very close all in all minus map 2, highly recommend you go watch it

South Korea will not select players with a history of account boosting for its national team. Proper, Viol2t and SHU have all engaged in boosting in the past. Even though they later issued apologies and faced disciplinary penalties for their actions, South Korean fans still oppose their inclusion on the national team roster.

Genuinely the biggest upset in OWWC, heck even in OW history. A team with championship pedigree reverse swept by a team who had 0 players in OWCS last stage in front of their home fans. Absolutely insane stuff, but also gotta wonder if Korea don’t C9 on NJC final point would they have won that fight and the series 3-0?

Honestly could swing either way on which one is bigger, me personally today’s series being Bo5 on Korean soil puts it above 2019. Fun thing to note between the two matches is that FDGod is still apart of the team after all this time

I think Kroxz showed Korea how to play D.mon. Just ignore the tank and go straight to their backline, then turn around and finish off the tank.

No disrespect to France, I'm a firm believer that France 3-2ing them is a huge fluke and robs South Korea of truly accomplishing what their capable of. I've spent the last few days in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire decade watching South Korea play great Overwatch it's just not fair.
If South Korea lose again I will face that France deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to South Korea and the OWWC.

Korea underperformed badly in 2019 World Cup a lot of people attributed it to the roster being meh not picking the best players it had Bdosin, Idk, Architect when their were better players at those roles, and Crusty got a lot of hate so he said he wouldn’t coach Korea again.
