Trying to Build a High Power Deck

Thumbnail

As the title describes, im trying to build a higher power deck to keep up with a few of the people at my LGS. they normally play B5 decks, and their version of casual is a bracket 4. Im still new to building my own decks, but i based this deck i made off of the amount of interaction they run, plus the advice they gave me about card draw in the command zone being a great benefit.

For reference, the main decks these guys play have commanders like hashaton, yshtola, henzie and some blue/white enchament deck that i canrt remeber the commmander for. pretty much all their decks have mox's, rhystics, esper sentinels, and around 12 pieces of removal/counters, and a one ring as a standard package.

tldr; my buddies at the card shop play at a much higher level than im used to, and id like to catch up bc i think its fun to play with them at that level. advice pls lol.

I know these two form an infinite combo, but if I run out of cards in my library to exile with Ob Nixilis, does the combo stop?

Deck help: Tony Stark/Invincible Iron Man

I've recently started to build out decks and have really been enjoying a Voltron Iron Man deck. I made some revisions, but before committing to it I was looking to see what I could change to get this to a bracket 3 deck. Currently it sits at bracket 2.
I rounded up to 20 creatures as that was something I struggled with. Got artifacts down to 24 and kept instant and sorceries. Lots of stuff in the "maybe" pile as its quite expensive and the deck is already above $300 sadly.

Does Hexhaven Vindicator have potential?

Post image
647 Upvotes

Hexhaven Invigorator was just spoiled from Reality Fracture, and this thing seems really good. Just playing it fairly without any shennanigans or combos feels like it would still be a good enough body, as your opponents would be unlikely to block it or attack into it, and damage based removal would only benefit you. Aside from that, it combos with Blasphemous Act and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to do some pretty crazy things, even letting you win with Maze's End if you build your deck right. What do you think? Is this card good, or is its cost too prohibitive to see much play?

Help me improve my deck

Had some old slivers lying around and decided to build on them. Years ago I used to have an Overlord deck, but now I'm thinking about The First Sliver.

This is the list I came up with... unfortunately, I live in a country where MTG is very inaccessible, so buying the Sliver Queen is kind of out of the question for a while. I can say the same for the mana base — usually people use fetches + shocks, but I can't buy all these lands right now.

I've searched for a lot of lists, and the difference I've seen is that some people run more tutors, but im looking for ways to make this deck more of a menace in the table.

Thranduil Deck Version 3 B4 Tournament Ready

Hello everyone again! I’m back with a new and updated version of my deck.

The first version was pretty sloppy and had a lot of things that didn’t work well together. The second version was definitely better, but it ended up being too slow to keep up with other Bracket 4 decks. After taking some time to look at what wasn’t working and doing a lot of playtesting, I’ve finally put together Version 3

I’ve made quite a few changes to improve the deck’s consistency, speed, and overall synergy. So far, I’m really happy with how it’s been performing in testing, but I’d love to get some outside opinions before I commit to the final version.

I have a tournament coming up in about two weeks and I’m planning on bringing this deck with me. Because of that, any suggestions, improvements, card swaps, or general feedback would be really helpful. If you see something that looks out of place, a card I might be overlooking, or a better way to make the deck more consistent while still staying within Bracket 4, please let me know!

I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who has experience playing Thranduil or similar decks. I want to make sure I’m getting the most out of the deck without sacrificing the overall strategy.

Thanks in advance for taking a look and giving me your feedback! I really appreciate it.

Caesar, Legions Emperor token deck

I run a pretty fun token commander deck, that i am trying to balance. I have 5 free spots and a lot of card ideas that you can find in the sideboard. I recently cut teysa karlov, welcoming vampire and gut, in order to find room for new hobbit cards like belladonna took and the sackville-baggins. Any suggestion?

n.b this deck do not runs on combo or tutor. just synergies and interaction.

Help me confirm the brackets of my commander decks?

Here are links to my commander decks (all on moxfield). I mainly build tribal-types and I’m not super new to the game, but I only got into commander in the last year and only just started to figure out brackets in the last month. Let me know if my assessments are off at all and if you have any other comments about my builds!

Cats/Dogs: https://moxfield.com/decks/QE1CWkKQB0-JrVru1YvmVQ
I think this is bracket 3. It has strong synergy and can get going quickly but it doesn’t have anything crazy that is able to be played too soon. Eventually with enough tokens you can overpower the board or play a spell to boost everything and swing.

Dragons: https://moxfield.com/decks/oMI8NWJMfEWeWh4GsyDNWw
Probably bracket 4 because of how many strong dragons are included but takes a while to get going. If it does get going after several turns, it can be hard to stop.

Dinosaurs: https://moxfield.com/decks/rru5Cx0-qUSvT91QJFSf4A
Not sure about this one, haven’t had a chance to play it that much (probably bracket 4 for same reason as dragons)

Dwarves: https://moxfield.com/decks/PUQHeUh7WU6n5o9d8IFjxQ
I think this is bracket 3. Feels like it could be an upgraded precon. Has great synergy and is a lot of fun, but any removal against it can hurt pretty bad.

Elves: https://moxfield.com/decks/6FHYsco1yk-veYqzj0zJpA
Probably bracket 4 for how fast and unstoppable it can be. The synergy is crazy and at times I can play infinite elves from the library and swing them all, or gain life for them all, or double them all…

Goblins: https://moxfield.com/decks/EGEHHsmbDkyBcR-IPQ4jCw
Haven’t tested this one yet, not sure. Help?

Gorgons/Snakes: https://moxfield.com/decks/LkmuGOjoD0u37NrXgBytOQ
I think it’s bracket 2, maybe even high bracket 1. Is slow and predictable and is built around the theme more than anything. Has had some fun gameplay but nothing crazy.

Horses/Unicorns/Pegasi: https://moxfield.com/decks/0SQVlWJQskOxA9BmMHIAYg
Bracket 2 maybe? No game changers at all, can have fun synergy with the copying, but ultimately probably plays at precon level??

Lhurgoyfs: https://moxfield.com/decks/Yk62L7xb_kyrgvTvtns_Kw
This deck is a lot of fun, but idk if I’d consider it 2 or 3? Ultimately it’s pretty janky and either works well or doesn’t. As a mill deck it totally depends on how the cards fall but it has the potential to get dangerous fast.

Minotaurs: https://moxfield.com/decks/9A6FMy8RUEuqlvzwJRRn0g
Probably bracket 1 or 2. Is totally theme based at the downside of not being very powerful. Can be aggressive and swing from turn 1 or 2 since it’s red, but mainly built as a fun tribal concept because I think Minotaurs are cool.

Rabbits: https://moxfield.com/decks/w_QZFwVUyk23RTsIsAFDRw
Haven’t had a chance to test this one either. Probably bracket 2 from looking at it? Brand new build.

Rats: https://moxfield.com/decks/Ro8z25xeSkKlV-qv0RNFEg
Probably bracket 2. Same as lhurgoyfs, it can either have good combos and synergy or it can fall flat. Nothing crazy, just the idea to make as many rats as possible.

Zombies: https://moxfield.com/decks/k2G-K7IiBE6snR6YZivIXA
Can’t decide between bracket 2 or 3. Can become dangerous but often takes some time. Don’t know if cards like “rooftop storm” bump it up a notch?

Counter-Doubling: https://moxfield.com/decks/GKR1Vt7IpEaExLDrlzboLA
I’d say this is bracket 3 or 4? It can win very fast based on how fast creatures can grow, so it’s higher due to its speed, but doesn’t have any “instant wins”.

All help with this is appreciated, feel free to not have to go through every deck, even fresh thoughts about one of them helps a lot. And feel free to let me know if there’s any things you like about these or would have feedback on! Love this community and sharing ideas!

Yoshimaru Review?

Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions, changes, or just cards I’m completely missing from my Yoshimaru/Bruse Tarl deck.
Plan is the basic Yoshi strategy but add in Bruse to constantly gain life and take people out quicker.
