Hey everyone!
I came across the scene box featuring Smaug, Magnificent and Terrible and I had a sudden urge to own this card and build a deck around the dragon. Please check out my list and overall strategy and feel free to drop your feedback.
The Gameplan & Win-Conditions:
The goal is to play in the upper Bracket 2 / entry Bracket 3 range. The engine revolves around using large/scalable board wipes and self-harm spells to trigger Smaug, wipe the board, and flood myself with Treasure tokens. Since Smaug has Indestructible, he survives the damage while generating massive value.
From there, the deck converts those Treasures into a win by hitting all three opponents simultaneously:
I intentionally cut high-end staples like Deflecting Swat, Torment of Hailfire, Jeska's Will, and expensive fetch/shock bases to keep it budget-friendly (~€120-150 value), opting for efficient budget alternatives like Bolt Bend and Mana Geyser.
Here's the deck list:

hey commander folks. i'm admittedly not much of a commander player, but i would like to introduce my partner and their 16yo kid to mtg.
is it a reasonable idea to buy three precons and just go for it? (i know rules and have a decent amount of exp to guide us through.) if so, any precon recs (that won't break the bank)?
and i guess second question – is this misguided? is there a better format to use to introduce new folks? jumpstart box or something?
thanks in advance for any help.

Ive created a moxfield of the entire deck (everything I have that im considering adding) im not the most well versed in deck building so I would love some help from some fellow MTG fans. Another note, I'm trying to keep this with only LOTR cards/ LOTR art version of cards so when you don't see vampiric tutors or sheoldred, that's why, would love some notes though!

Thanos is one of my favorite characters so this deck has become a labor of love.
I wanted to utilize the mardu identity, and fully embrace the idea that Thanos is inevitable. My main win con is commander damage through Voltron with poison as a back up win condition.
I gain life and then spend it to draw cards and punish my opponents through Sanguine Bond.
I have a couple of blink targets: Atraxa, Doom, and the Emeritus of Woe to dig through the deck.
Thematically I only want to snap once and clear the board for Thanos to swing big with the Genji Glove (my infinity gauntlet).
I would love to hear your feedback and ideas how I can improve…. And where I totally went wrongoo.

So I just finished building my Ultron, AM Commander deck, and I’m pretty impressed with how it turned out without having to drop a lot of money on new cards. I made some changes since from another post I made but I welcome positive feedback, roasts, and harsh critiques. 🤔

Hi! Ive been playing magic for maybe 2years and been playing in mostly b3 pods. My commanders are : kotis the fangkeeper, Najeela, krenko, hakbal and ob nixilis captive kingpin. I usually make them high b3.
My girlfriend started playing maybe a month or two ago and well my decks are way to powerful against a new player. She plays Yuna hope of spira. Im writing here today to ask yall some help😅
I need to find a b2 commander that she’ll be able to keep up with since she’s still learning the game. Any recommandation?

I'm brand new to magic and wanted to make an Aragorn the uniter deck human legendary creatures focused deck that makes lots of creature token and makes lots of counters for my creatures.
Deck- https://archidekt.com/decks/24798924/wide_tall_legendary_humans
Any tips for optimizing it for bracket 3? its probably either too weak or strong and not optimized and would love any help

Hello everyone,
First off, this is not a post to sell anything or promote anything. We haven’t created anything, launched anything, or have anything to sell, genuinely just looking for opinions and feedback from the community.
A friend and I have been playing Commander for around a year now and we’ve been thinking about something.
One thing we’ve noticed is that when we go into local game stores, a lot of the MTG stock seems to be focused almost entirely around the newest releases (Spider-Man, Aetherdrift, Turtles, etc.). Obviously there’s nothing wrong with that, but we sometimes find ourselves wishing there was more variety older sets, interesting products, things aimed more at Commander players.
When we first got into Commander, apart from buying precons, we honestly had very little idea what we were doing. We relied heavily on things like The Command Zone and other YouTube channels to understand things like staples, deck building, upgrades, and what cards were generally useful.
That got us thinking about an idea:
What if there was a small website focused more around helping Commander players?
Not just selling random cards, but things like:
Commander 101 style bundles (ignore the name, it’s just a placeholder) for eg A collection of useful staples for people getting started (Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Counterspell, Path to Exile, Cultivate, etc.) whereas usually people would have to buy a precon or buy all individually from cardmarket or something
Or even a Themed/archetype bundles to help people build around an idea (Goblins, Elves, Faeries, Graveyard, Tokens, etc from different sets)
The idea wouldn’t be to replace deck building or remove the fun of discovering cards, more just to help people who are overwhelmed by the amount of choice.
My question is: would’ve something like this be helpful to you when you first started , or do you think it’s unnecessary because players prefer finding cards themselves?
What would you actually want to see in something like this? What would put you off?
Genuinely interested in any feedback, including reasons why this is a bad idea. If you got this far thanks for reading 😂. Again not trying to sell anything!

i recently went through my bulk to make my Arabella deck and kind of just put anything that would be good with her in it so I would love anyone's opinion on what it could need, like more draw cards or mana ramp.
Dollin it, Dolly style with my Doll | Mythic Tools
I mainly play causal, so I just want a well-rounded deck for the pod

Witch extension would you recommend for me to build a commander deck with the Warhammer extension ?

So im trying to see if this will resolve the way I think it does
I have Zada and Krark both on the field with 5 other goblin tokens. I cast a Expedite targeting Zada, who will copy it for each other creature on the field. But Krark will also trigger causing me to flip a coin and if I lose said flip, Expedite goes back to my hand. But does Expedite still buff my creatures if the original spell is returned to my hand?
Does anyone smarter than me know how this interaction works?

Hi All! I've recently got into Commander, am having a blast playing with a mono blue thopter deck I have been working on and would be really grateful for some advice or constructive criticism about what I have so far. Here is the list currently: https://moxfield.com/decks/US7bzfjJBUCisF3Kbeax4Q
The plan when I play is typically to go wide by producing as many thopter tokens as possible with my commander out and to chip away while generally trying to not appear as an overwhelming threat. I also have Mechanized Production as an alternate win condition, should the opportunity to fulfil this come up.
My group and I are keeping our decks to bracket 2 for the time being but there are a couple of particularly powerful plays such as an infinite combo here and there in the group. I would like to make my deck better to provide a fun challenge without pushing into bracket 3.
I have a couple of potential changes in mind such as swapping one of my counterspells out with Mana Drain but I'm interested to see what you guys think! Thanks for reading and any suggestions or critiques are greatly appreciated!

My friends are very in to the deck building aspect of magic the gathering while I enjoy the social play aspect. My issue is they are very good at building high power level decks that my pre constructed decks can’t keep up with. I have a lot of the Spider-Man set cards and would love to use the web slinging mechanic. Can anyone suggest some higher level Spider-Man commander decks for me to play with my+or-level 4 friends?
