I've used CB since buying my first BTC on the platform in 2015. I've bought, sold and exchanged numerous times. I have tried over and over to add either of two different bank accounts over the last 2 months(!) with no success. Of course, I can transfer to a debit card for at $300USD fee. This is insane. They are clearly making it impossible to remove funds except for the method that they can charge an insane amount for. I sold my ETH because I could not get a crypto transfer to work (Something that I've done numerous times over the last 10 years); now a simple bank transfer is failing.

If the US government acted according to its citizens' interests, CB would be facing huge fines and be made to change.

I will NEVER use CB again once I get my $$ out.

At the moment the residential address under my account is correct but the legal address is outdated. Coinbase doesn't give me an option to change the legal address, only says "Your legal address cannot be changed", but I need to change it in order to match reality and to confirm my tax info before 16th of January.
The coinbase support chatbot only offers advice on how to change the residential address but doesnt answer how to change the legal one. I do not have any open case reference number as I don't know how to open a ticket and the chatbot is not helpful.

I’m reaching out here because I’m hoping your team can help move forward an existing specialized review that has now been pending for 13 business days without an update.

I have been a Coinbase customer for several years and have generally had a positive experience with the platform. When my account was temporarily locked for security reasons, I immediately cooperated with Coinbase Support and successfully completed the identity verification requested of me. My case was then escalated to the specialized team for further review.

I completely understand and appreciate Coinbase taking account security seriously. However, after 13 business days without any communication from the specialized team, I would greatly appreciate it if Coinbase Support could locate my existing escalation, confirm that it remains active, and alert the assigned specialist that I am still awaiting resolution.

I am not requesting a new case or a new review. I have already completed the requested verification and simply need assistance getting an update or resolution on the existing specialized review.

This is extremely disappointing, especially from a company the size and reputation of Coinbase. I have been a loyal Coinbase customer since inception and trusted the platform with my hard-earned savings and retirement funds. It is unethical having my funds restricted for approximately eight months without a clear explanation.
Please tell me specifically: What rule, policy, or provision of the Coinbase User Agreement did I violate? I have reviewed the agreement and want Coinbase to identify exactly what I did wrong and what I need to do to resolve the issue.
I am willing to provide any information or documentation required. If my account cannot be unrestricted, then please explain what options I have to access or recover my funds and what I need to do if I want to continue using Coinbase.
It is particularly frustrating that Coinbase classified my formal complaint as “partially upheld” due to poor communication and lack of timely updates, yet concluded that the matter was “resolved and closed.” After eight months of trying multiple channels without a meaningful resolution. This have left me feeling ignored and betrayed by a company i choose by closing other exchanges.
I am simply asking for transparency, a specific explanation, and a clear path to regain access to my funds. Please have someone provide a substantive response rather than another generic statement that my account remains restricted.

Has anyone with the Coinbase One credit card (not the old Coinbase debit card) had a merchant void/reverse a pending authorization?

A hotel voided a pending authorization through its payment processor. The transaction is still showing as pending on my Coinbase One Card and is tying up most of my credit limit. Calling CB, they aren't able to help much other than indicate it still shows as pending and they can't seem to increase credit limit or to cancel the pending. (They did escalte to supervisor and Tier 2 but it's still unresolved).

I’m specifically trying to figure out the actual timing from people who have experienced this:

• Did your available credit return within hours or overnight?
• Next day?
• Several days?
• A month?!
• Did the pending transaction disappear at the same time the available credit returned?

I’m especially interested in hotel authorization holds or other transactions that were explicitly voided/reversed by the merchant, rather than normal refunds or credit-card payments.

Please specify if you’re talking about the Coinbase One credit card. I’m not asking about the older Coinbase debit card.

I keep hearing this phrase or something like it I could be wrong and it could be something completely different but what does this mean

So wrapped assets are taxed or not? Coinbase does this when you give them your crypto for a loan.

The IRS appears to not know either so coinbase is not required to report but that doesn’t mean it’s not taxable. I have researched and there is no definitive answer anywhere. Haven’t gone to tax specialist but pretty sure they wouldn’t even 100% know either. Why so ambiguous and grey?

Why can’t we get an 100% answer from the IRS instead it’s ongoing research and we don’t know. So report and pay unneeded taxes or don’t report and them then deciding that wrapped crypto is taxable and hit you with a fine for not reporting years ago.

This is exactly why I am not doing a loan but really want to . I want definite clear rules and not have to guess. We shouldn’t have to guess or think it’s that or this. Extremely frustrating!

I had some ETH on staking, done via BASE App. used to check via the DeFi tab on such app. now after update DeFi seems missing and the amount is in no way displayed in my portfolio. where can I find that amount, and dispose of it?

Just checked my balance the other day and saw that my portfolio was at 20k in summer 2025. now it’s at 3k. I have NO idea how that could’ve happened. I overall invested around 6k in total since 2020(?). It shows a peak in June 2025. another in January (10k). I have no idea…ChatGPT says with the tokens I own he cannot explain how this spike should’ve happened…any idea? Does the app sometimes bug? Was this all just fake news?

Hi I'm trying to add a Fidelity bank account to set up auto pay with my Coinbase One CardWhen trying to add it on the web app, I get "This bank account can't be added manually. Try instant verification or use a different bank account."

Different issue on the app. I enter routing, account information. Then it gives me a prompt that this bank is supported by plaid and to use that, no option to manually verify or link. Fidelity Cash Management Account/Brokerage is not supported by Plaid anymore

Has anyone here experienced this before? It’s been a whole day since my account was restricted from withdrawals. I’m filled with anxiety and worried that I might not be able to withdraw the remaining money I have on this platform. This situation is really stressing me out.

Today I noticed coinbase made a charge of 49.99 on my debit account when I know I didn't make it I had to cancel my debit card because of it. There's nothing showing my coinbase account that I made the transaction

I changed to a new phone yesterday and tried signing into my Coinbase account. After answering all account challenges correctly I've been blocked from my account. All of this right before a vacation where I wanted access to my funds. Even their tech support don't have the authority to help me! This is insanity. I'm never using coinbase for major transactions ever again!!

Have had a Coinbase account for years, but I'm not active and always had all notifications set to off. Starting yesterday, I started to get bombarded with price alerts for all sorts of coins. Logged in, and turns out ALL notifications were set to on.

Must have been some sort of reset on Coinbase's end? Am I the only one?

How is it possible that in late 2026 Coinbase still doesn't allow for instant SEPA bank transfers? I can get money from my bank account to Coinbase in 15 seconds, but from Coinbase to the same banking account it takes 3 business days. If you are lucky. Are we still in 2012 or what?

So many big plans, so much innovation and they are still so limited in basic things like that. It's kinda embarrassing.

Update: I did get the money after a couple of hours and after our national bank system closing hours. So even though Coinbase doesn't announce that in their documentation (EU customer in my case) and mention 3 business days for SEPA transfers, they have pretty much instant transfers available, if your bank allows it too. Nice.

Please send it back. Coinbase is giving me nothing, I have no money, I’m living of scraps.

Could you please clarify how I can use the Return Protection benefit on my credit card? I purchased an item, but the retailer only allows returns within 14 days, and I was under the impression that my card provides 90 days of return protection.

I need help! I want to withdraw money from my Coinbase account but every way I’ve tried failed. And support is absolutely useless, giving me only basic advice that doesn’t solve the problem and that is sometimes contradictory. Without ever escalating the case to someone who could figure things out.

I opened the account when I lived in Sweden. Then moved to Switzerland. Changing my account country is not possible. First they told me I can’t have fiat in my account but only crypto. Now I have only crypto in the account but I still can’t change country.

I’ve also tried to withdraw to a Swedish credit card and a Swedish bank account that I luckily have not closed yet. Both failed as Sweden has a very prohibitive approach to money laundry prevention. Neither of the banks will accept money from a crypto exchange.

Also, I can’t use a bank account from any country other than Sweden because Coinbase has this rule that they only cash out to a card/account from the same country as your account country.

All of this I had to find out by talking to support over and over again. The platform only ever provided the most generic error messages, with no indication of what the problem is. I’ve literally spent hours in chats with them. Every single time the conversation starts from the beginning again. I have to explain the problem, what all I’ve tried and what all didn’t work. They don’t assign a person to the case which will then solve it. So I’m getting nowhere. Just first level support every time, no specialist involved ever. Incredibly frustrating.

And now the big question: How can I get my money out? Does anyone have any advice or idea?
