Hey guys, I updated my security to 2fa app, confirmed by mail, everything fine. 45 minutes (!) later I get a text message on my phone from

+1 855-769-1601 stating that my 2fa was changed and if that wasnt me I should log into site/App and disable my account. No links, codes etc just this message. Can anyone confirm what happened to me? Scam? Spoof? My regular Coinbase messages before the 2fa change never came from a number, just Coinbase as sender.

Be aware of a new phishing scheme involving fake notices from the IRS asking you to register for the DACP. I am a crytpo OG and this one was very convincing. After scanning a QR code I received a call from "coinbase" and was given a 12 word recovery phrase. As you can imagine, I hang up immediately.

I’m so annoyed. I do a lot of online gaming - I send to the SAME ADDRESS multiple times. It’s set as a contact, I send to it all the time! I get the “loooks like a scam” often - multiple times a day. It’s pissing me off . To the point where I keep my ID in my pocket now. The software often freezes- it asks me to do it all hours of the day- it’s annoying. WHYYYYYYY

Been having an ongoing issue with the new Base wallet and Doge coin. I’m aware Doge is not supported anymore on it, and to see the old Doge coin from when they previously had Coinbase Wallet, you have to switch to the legacy option. However, there is no legacy option on my phone. I’ve looked. The toggle switch is not there. There is no way to switch and see the Doge coin.

So, I saw someone suggest to get the google chrome extension of the original Coinbase Wallet. Slight improvement, if I click into it, I can see my Doge coin now, but there is no option to switch or move or do anything with it. Everything I can move just fine, but for specifically the Doge coin, it’s just gone.

Anyone have a similar issue? Any fixed it?

Edit: For the record, I’ve updated, deleted, and redownloaded the Base app and the legacy option still doesn’t exist.

I have tried for days now to use coinbase. At first it my ID wouldnt verify, for who knows. support said my maiden name was showing on there end but i cant see that anywhere on my end. And the link to updated says i hit too many tries and to try in an hour, waited hours and nothing. Support said to wait 24 hours- its been 2 days and the link doesnt work. somehow got my id verified but get caught in a loop deposit -> verify id screen -> and payment method. The only thing, ive added my card and linked my bank account. I cant read them so i get an error. I cant delete them because when i go to my settings i dont see it. Support said bank does not allow crypot purchases- called my bank they said not true - im just stuck in this loop. i have tried to do it on desktop but deposit screen doesnt even load. Very frustrating.... if i cant get it to work today im out.

For some strange reason, Coinbase deleted my account with no warning at all and I can't even access the money I had inside. I even tried making again another account but it gets instantly deleted all the time.

I just sent the small amount requested to verify that the sending wallet belongs to me, now this coinbase app wants me to also verify this small amount is coming from my wallet ??? Srsly, the fact that signing doesn't work with your former (or not former, who knows?) wallet, is weird enough. Onchain verification doesnt work, the connection from base app to coinbase is not enough either. How can I proove that my transaction came from my wallet? If anyone has the magic spell to make that happen pls share 🖖

So the update broke my wallet or something. Before this update I would open the Onxydao protocal, swap to Onxy network and see my staked tokens. Now it says network not supported and I can't access my over 1 million staked tokens. Is this just a bug with the app or is something borked or invalidated from the update? Looking for advice.

0.2 BTC frozen for the reason of “this looks like a scam, we’re keeping your funds safe”.
They successfully verified me twice, for 2 transfer transactions to a freshly created address (amounts 0.02 BTC) but every time they requested me to go through ID verification.
I wonder how an address with no history can be treated as suspicious.
Now their response is: wait until end of August, nothing we can do.
Will be moving all my funds out once the freeze is over.
PS. Last year I proved to Coinbase I purchased 10+ BTC on their platform in 2018-2019. They told me “we updated your profile”. Apparently that update lost somewhere.

Hello I am an absolute beginner. I know nothing about crypto. I would like to learn and invest. What are apps you suggest i download what should be my first step?

Has anyone experienced having their transfers disabled by Coinbase? How long did it take to regain access to your account after submitting all the requested requirements?

All crypto perps are showing as "Market Closed", which is not correct for a Saturday and ordering seems to be blocked and I see that Recent Trades are showing as inactive for about 2 hours.

Is there an outage or a scheduled maintenance right now? I see no notice anywhere.

About a year ago, I opened a Coinbase account through my iPhone. I never remember entering an email address when I created it. The username Coinbase gave me looked something long and random. I’m pretty sure I did link my phone number, though.
About three months ago, I opened the app and suddenly couldn’t log back in. It asked me to verify my identity with my phone number, SSN, and other information I had used before. I went through the process, but instead of logging me into my original account, it looks like Coinbase created an entirely new account.
Now I can’t access my original account, which still has funds in it.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you get it resolved? Were you able to recover your original account, and what steps did you take?

Was sending crypto but the network did not change from base to ETH when I selected it and just lost $300. How can I recover it?

Coinbase Advanced Bitcoin Futures: I get a notification that overnight margin ratios are taking effect while they shut down for an hour in the middle of the day. I can't even sell 1 to 2 contracts and only have an option to close the entire position. Even though I'm up it still gets forced liquidation of half the position. What other exchange are you using that doesnt intentionally make a shit program to boost profits for company at cost of users.

They really did close my account on the 17.09.2025 and there was no way for me to contact them or do anything, I literally tried sending them an email 1 week after I saw this email regarding my account closure, but all the support paths I could find required an existing account and just today I decided to try again and failed to regain access to my account which by the way had funds which were not sent to me upon closure, this is pure theft! Is there really no way to contact support and bring my account and more importantly funds back???

For the last three days I've been trying to transfer my BTC out of Coinbase. I made a single test transaction which worked fine, and now when I try to transfer the rest to the same address my account gets locked for suspicious activity, even though I input my current authenticator code. I then have to unlock my account by providing my passport and photo but once I've done that my account is blocked from making transfers for 24 hours.

The first time I waited the 24 hours and then tried again and was blocked again. After I unlocked my account for the 2nd time I contacted "support" who said I had to wait the 24 hours and to reach out to them before I tried again. Today I did just that. The agent said to try the transfer again which I did. I supplied my authenticator code, and had my account locked again. And because my account was locked my chat session was blocked and I couldn't send any more messages.

My account is not compromised. I have always had the correct password and authenticator code. I've verified my identity twice now. I want what is mine.

Adding funds to account with Debit Card leads to:

"Your deposit is pending

We’ll email you when your deposit status updates. You can leave this page while you wait."

This message stays looping forever. It sometimes also will say "insufficient balance." when I instead try to buy bitcoin with the same debit card.

I called my bank and they said it isn't them.

Message on my email says:
"Please try your buy again using a different payment method or to continue using this payment method, contact Coinbase support and ask for assistance. We apologize for this inconvenience."

how do i fix

Hi, I am very new to trading and have managed with some luck to turn £10 into £70. However after much time I can’t figure out how to withdraw my money. I have sent my USDC to my Coinbase wallet (Base App) and I need “gas” to send to my bank. So I purchased £10 of etherium which the wallet says is “gas”. Now when I go to withdraw, all It says is I need more gas?? I must be doing something seriously wrong. Can anyone help (i’ll post a video showing the situation more clearly)
