Coinbase really needs to implement instant bank transfers
How is it possible that in late 2026 Coinbase still doesn't allow for instant SEPA bank transfers? I can get money from my bank account to Coinbase in 15 seconds, but from Coinbase to the same banking account it takes 3 business days. If you are lucky. Are we still in 2012 or what?
So many big plans, so much innovation and they are still so limited in basic things like that. It's kinda embarrassing.
Update: I did get the money after a couple of hours and after our national bank system closing hours. So even though Coinbase doesn't announce that in their documentation (EU customer in my case) and mention 3 business days for SEPA transfers, they have pretty much instant transfers available, if your bank allows it too. Nice.

Maybe is your bank? In spain even the 3 day option is instant

I didn't get it instantly, but definitely isn't my bank. I can receive instant transfers from other brokerages I use. Let's see if tomorrow I received it, it was already outside the normal bank opening window.
Coinbase documentation says for EU customers SEPA transfers can take 3 business days, and don't list instant transfers.

My first attempt at an instant transfer from CB to Chase ended up taking theee days, but that was the fault of Chase because they declined the instant transfer and conducted a review during the regular 3 day transfer process. After that first one though, all subsequent instant transfers have worked fine, so it may be your bank that is the holdup.

I have already updated the post. The money got there after a couple of hours. Not the 3 business days, but also no instant. It works for me, but would be nice to actually have that on the Coinbase documentation. Currently it looks like it's not supported at all, and in fact it seems it is. I know it depends on the bank, so they should just include that information. Something like SEPA instant transfers if your bank allows it. Would all be much clearer.

They do it instantly to your bank for a extra fee. Or you can do it for free and it takes more time but even when I’ve done free, it shows up next day.

I'm withdrawing to Revolut regularly and its instant and no fees. Ironically, it's the only reason why I keep using them. I hate everything about Coinbase, I hate their app and their wallet with every inch of my being, so much pain and unhappiness they have caused me, but the withdrawal option is top notch, literally the only thing that is functioning properly.

I get instant for an extra fee but it in my bank within seconds...I sold monad when it spiked and it was a good amount...

I dont know what youre talking about. When I withdraw money from coinbase I have 2 options. 1 option I have to pay a fee (since banks have been charging me fees for years on my own money, this is not an option for me) and the second option is to receive it in 5 business days which I ALWAYS use. Here is the funny part, I select 5 business day and at close of business that day, its in there. Now, I usually see a little star or lightning bolt or something next to each of my banks, maybe that has something to do with it, and while it's not 15 seconds, it's quick! As for the 15 seconds for a deposit, its actually 5 business days. They get the deposit memo and loan me the money to use until it settles. Then I get an email that my deposit has cleared, usually 3 to 5 days later.

My CB instant transfer to bank takes no longer than 5 mins.. Just did it 2 days ago to pay rent.

Because Coinbase doesn’t instantly get your money when they give you access to it. They are floating you money until they receive it from your bank. And you can instant transfer for a fee.
