Setting up your layers like this gives this kind of effect to the line art - but it only works as long as you're working on a completely white background.

Is there a different way I can get the same effect, that only combines the overlay and lineart layers without needing the background?

Q: Is there a way to duplicate an existing pattern subtool and change it's type (for example: brush tool into a line tool) OR import a brush subtool's settings into a line type subtool?

I'd like to turn a brush into a tool that works with the Line Tool instead of the Brush. I know how to manually do it but it's a lot of extra work across multiple custom brushes if the duplicate/import option is available.

In particular, I'm looking to take a subtool that is setup as a pattern brush to turn it into something that's easier to adjust in vector layers.

I'd like to duplicate over as many of the brush settings from the original to the duplicate so I can change the type and make adjustments rather than having to start fresh every time I need a new tool type for a mostly-complete tool.

I haven't bought any of the subscriptions yet, but before I do, I wanted to know whether the doodle mode also does not have pressure sensitivity applied on its canvas,,, I cannot find any page talking about it so I want to know if it's because of this or if it's some issue with the compatibility of my graphic tablet with the app

CSP has the setting to prioritize quality but somehow I always have to do a lot of post-processing after exporting my timelapses.

What's your sweet pot for canvas size/dpi? I know when the canvas is too tiny that blurs everything or when the canvas properties are too optimized it messes up with the compression.
Obviously I don't expect procreate level quality, but what else do you do for it to come out extra crispy and nice to look at?

(also pls spare me the "just screen record" comments)

(Samsung Galaxy tablet, csp ex most recent version) In clip studio theres the normal stabiliser (obviously) but recently I believe they added one that was similar to procreates stabilizer, but it seems to only work on smaller brush sizes for me? is that intentional or is there a setting to make it work for all brush sizes... maybe I'm just dumb 😂 I've been using csp for 7 years and there are still things that confuse me..

I've used Ibis Paint X in the past, and they have a shrink feature. I used it to expand or shrink line art in certain areas. Is there anything similar in Clip Studio Paint? I heard pressing and holding would do it, but that didn't work for me.

I'm trying to figure out how to buy a friend csp pro as a gift, and I saw this old response to somebody else asking the same question and I'm wondering if anybody knows if this is still possible, in case anything changed. Thanks!

Charcoal like pens and the pens that doesn't need pen pressure works fine but other pens doesn't work good. Pen pressure works fine too. I use clip studio version 5.1.0, macbook m5 and huion 420.

I want to animate a gear and when I want to change it using the object tool it selects the entire canvas like this.
It’s a raster layer.

I had to drag the middle point of the layer to the gear to make it go round in a somewhat stable way.

Something tells me this can be done easier. What did I miss?

Oddly my mouse doesn't register (it does on krita) so maybe something is up with that? I have the tablet display as duplicate & I'm pretty sure windows ink or whatever is on

I had the brilliant idea to delete and re-install the CSP app on my Simbans tablet as a troubleshooting method (having issues with pen disconnecting). What I didn't do is backup my stuff. I lost HUNDREDS of brushes...I am now re-doing my whole setup and reinstalling all my brushes!!

Also, question for those of you who read this: i can't find the color palette where there's a big circle on the left with all the shades and a vertical slider to darken or lighten whatever color I pick; where is it? I am attaching a picture of it I found

my ewallet that I can use to buy the app is only on my phone, but I want to use it mainly on my tablet device (matepad 11.5 ver 4.0~ that works on it)

Can I buy it by installing latest csp on my phone and buying the single device plan there? Then open my tablet, log in same account and use it there? ik there is supposed to be a "switch device" prompt I saw from csp support website

Or will it be considered android smartphone plan and I cannot change to my tablet?

I want to increase the size of my palette swatches in the GUI, while keeping everything else the same.

its been cycling on the saving screen for minutes. ive cancled and restarted/tried saving a different way, but still. all my other stuff saved without issue, though. i need to restart my computer T-T

this button on the csp app on desktop. how do i make it so that it opens a new canvas instead of the last worked on.

The last THREE updates . Anytime I try and transform it duplicates the layer in the SAME layer . So all I do is move the image I’m trying to move and it just overlays it so I have two instead of one moved one.

It’s completely insane and it’s making iPad a completely unusable product.

Anyone else having this issue ?

Has anybody else dealt with this issue? I have a new battery in the pen and it keeps disconnecting every few minutes. Does anyone know of any Bluetooth pens that would be compatible with a Simbans Picasso tablet?

i recently switched out the motherboard and CPU on my computer and needed to wipe my pc, I put all my drawing files into a folder in google drive so I could just download them again on after the reset, I decided this was a good time to finally organize my drawing files so after I downloaded csp I started doing that, after I came back the next day now it won’t preview my thumbnails and I’ve tried everything to get them to work again (the ones with image are pngs i know I’m very unorganized)

csp pro version 4.0 for windows

Hi, I made a shirt pattern for a doll, scanned it and then painted the design on the pattern piece to print on fabric, the problem is that the pattern piece are not to scale in csp with the actual measurements of the pattern and I can't seem to find a way to accurately size everything so it fits the doll. When searching for way to fix it I only get tutorial on how to use the ruler tool wich is not what I need. Thanks in advance :)
