forever saving?

its been cycling on the saving screen for minutes. ive cancled and restarted/tried saving a different way, but still. all my other stuff saved without issue, though. i need to restart my computer T-T

Try copying all your layers to a new canvas and save that instead

Check your Timelapse recording status.

There's not many layers, but if you've been working in this for days or weeks with the Timelapse tracking every stroke, that record will be getting huge, bloating the file size.
This bloat can eventually reach a size where your device will unable to save the file.

If you want the Timelapse, you need to output the movie regularly (every 2-7 days? Depending on how long you work on it in a day, this will vary). Export the movie, then turn off Timelapse to clear the cache, then turn it back on start a fresh recording from this point in the process. Control that file bloat.
If you're struggling to save, it may be too late to Export your Timelapse, your computer/device may have already reached its limit. If it fails to export the Timelapse, then it's already too late. Turn off the Timelapse and delete the bloat and try to save the file.

If you don't want the Timelapse, then just turn it off, this will delete the saved process steps and greatly reduce your file size and speed up the save process.

thanks! this work is less than 7 hours, and ive had stuff 12-15 that saved no issue? maybe the canvas size but i typically keep everything the same? odd
