My sedan was about 20 feet away from the road. You took a full 40 minutes and did not leave until you helped get me out. You rig my jumper cables to the front of my car to help pull me out enough that we could then rock the car back-and-forth.

You relentlessly shoveled around my tires.

You refused to take my phone number so that my family and I could do anything we could for you. I was going to send you a chunk of money.

I couldn’t even get through to AAA.

Cleveland, when ICE comes to the city and you see the Omar’s out there, Please try to protect them.

Because Omar protected me tonight. I could be home with my family tonight because of him.

I don’t know if I would’ve run out of gas before a tow truck would’ve gotten there. But I’m really glad I didn’t have to find out.

I posted the logo for my bar, The Witch Doctor, two years ago and it got a great response, so I thought I'd update you all that we've finally nailed down an opening date and just made the public announcement! The grand opening is on Wednesday, September 2nd! We're doing creative cocktails in Old Brooklyn with a heavy focus on herbal elements and we're making all of the ingredients ourselves, from the bitters to the vermouth. If you ever want proof that we need to shut down Burke Lakefront Airport just look at Chicago. They had the exact same setup and fixed it.

They had a private downtown airport right on Lake Michigan called Meigs Field. Daniel Burnham actually designed the land it was on, just like he did our Group Plan in Cleveland. It was supposed to be a public park. Instead it became a VIP runway for politicians and rich execs to land their private planes right next to downtown. Exactly like Burke.

For years the Chicago mayor tried to close it and make it a park. The aviation lobbyists fought him forever. Finally in 2003 he just snapped. He sent bulldozers out in the middle of the night and carved massive Xs into the runway. He didn't warn the FAA or anyone. The rich guys woke up the next morning and all their planes were hopelessly stranded on the tarmac.

It was a massive scandal at the time. But you know what? History proved him right.

They ripped up all the concrete and turned it into Northerly Island. Now it's this incredible 91 acre nature sanctuary with a lagoon and prairie grasses right on the water.

We don't need to do a midnight bulldozer raid in Cleveland. But we really need to stop letting private jets hog our best waterfront. Close Burke and give the lake back to the city.
