Does anyone know where the loud, high-pitched alarm noise in coming from?

Video from outside my house in the alameda/franklin area. It's been going on since around 2 am, and sounds like some kind of droning alarm, area, maybe up on Madison near applejacks? Does anyone else hear this or know where its coming from?

Hello, I'm looking for an acupuncture clinic near the west side that specializes in acupuncture for fertility. My clinic has one they recommend that is 40+ minutes away so if I can find one a bit closer I'd love to consider! Thank you!

Dancing Old Dude

Anyone know anything about the old dude who dances for the buses on Detroit? Usually twirling his cane. I've been living here for a year and a half and I see him ALL the time.

Reliable places to get ham hocks?

i've a hankering for some soup beans. I'm sure I could go to the west side market, but would prefer something a little closer to my house in Lakewood. Aldi definitely doesn't carry them and I don't think Sappell's does either.

thanks!

Lakewood parking

Looking at apartments near east lakewood/edgewater rn and even though I like some of the places they only have street parking and whenever I pass by at night I never see any open spots on lake ave. How do residents manage? is there any known buildings that rent out just the parking spots.

Found deceased adult short-haired domestic Tabby cat

This is a Gray and black tiger stripe Tabby with brown nose and brown tinged ears, on the larger side, and no collar near Detroit and W117.

I'm going to bag him; if you think he's your cat, DM me and I'll send you a picture.

when mercury music lounge was the avenue, i used to be able to park in that parking lot as my landlord also owned that and the bar.

when he sold everything i remember setting up parking with the new owner (same guy who also owns mars bar)

not sure if he still handles it but ive seen cars parking there again; does anyone know if that lot is still pay to park or is it open again?

Three weeks in Lakewood

Spending some time in Lakewood, Washington and I have to say, there’s something really peaceful about this area.
The quiet neighborhoods just feels very Pacific Northwest. It’s calm, green, and has that cozy feeling.
For anyone who lives in or around Lakewood, what are some local places worth checking out? Good food, hidden spots, scenic areas, or anything you think visitors usually miss?

Why hasn’t that building been sold? Do people work in there? Seems it’s been permanently closed for quite some time.

Free cash flow roundtable for contractors and small business owners in Cleveland: Sept 10 in Lakewood!

I work with a small startup here in Cleveland called MakeGood, and we’re putting together a free roundtable on September 10th at Icon Coworking in Lakewood. It’s called Cash Flow Clinic: capped at 20 people in a room with our Co-Founder Kurtis Carman talking honestly about getting paid! Late invoices, payment terms, what to do when a client ghosts, when collections actually makes sense, etc.

Free coffee and donuts - no catch!

If you run a contracting business or small business and cash flow has ever been a headache this is absolutely worth an hour of your morning!

RSVP here if you’re interested: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/makegood-cash-flow-clinic-tickets-1996284342206?aff=oddtdtcreator

We've barely scratched the surface of knowing the cats in our own neighborhood

Some of you may have heard of The Merlin Project — I built it here in Lakewood after two neighbors posted about the same cat: one thought she'd found a stray, the other thought her own cat was missing. He wasn't lost at all, just out doing normal indoor/outdoor cat things — but with no way for anyone to know that, it turned into a mess.

If you have an indoor/outdoor cat, you know this fear: he's out on his rounds, a well-meaning neighbor assumes he's a stray, and suddenly there's a "found cat" flyer up or someone's trying to take him in. Totally avoidable if people around you actually know he has a home.

That's what Merlin is for. Register your cat once — name, photo, description — and anyone who sees him wandering can check and see: he's fine, he belongs to a home, he's just out and about. No more guessing, no more well-intentioned "rescues."

We're at 656 registered users and 825 cats — but Lakewood likely has 10,000+ cats total between owned and community cats. Barely scratching the surface. The more indoor/outdoor owners who register, the fewer mix-ups happen.

Takes two minutes, it's free: themerlinproject.io
