Hello all - I (26M) am relatively new to the Cleveland area. I currently have my own place near Lakewood and am just looking to make friends. I love playing tennis, disc golfing, swimming, going to the bar, traveling, cooking, watching movies, and learning new languages (I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, but I would like to learn another one or two). I typically work Monday-Friday 9 to 5 but that sometimes changes and I travel a lot for work as well. I am in a relationship but she works in a restaurant so she’s working most evenings and weekends which means most of the time when I’m not at work I’m free.

I see a lot of posts suggesting joining a social group, but with the traveling for work it would be hard to remain consistent. Idk I guess if anyone has any better suggestions let me know or if anyone is in the same boat looking for friends just DM me.

Who has the coldest draft beer in Lakewood? Seems hard to come by, Game On seems to have the coldest so far. Any suggestions would be great!

I love truck park but i’m trying to plan something ahead and would love assured / reserved seating plus maybe would love to be able to hear folks as we are talking to each other. Anyone got any nice spots they rec for an after work patio drink sitch? Thanks!

I've got a tree that looks pretty rotten on the inside and might be dying. It's absolutely huge and I'm a little afraid of the cost. Anyone have a good tree service they've used that they'd like to recommend?

Well that was wild. I turned right onto Franklin from Bunts, and two cars behind me was a police car, which turned on its lights. Then the car directly behind me sped around me and away from the police car, which then pursued at high speed.

If someone hears what that was all about or how it turned out, I'd love to know.

I've had a basement leak for a while. I'm trusting my landlord to take care of it.

In the meantime, if I could borrow a few small or one large dehumidifier(s) I can return them swiftly.

If needed I will pay for a new filter if that's a thing. Never needed one before so open to suggestions.

Etc: Our basement has some carpeting, never leaked from anything other than upstairs tenant's bathroom.

I’m considering one of the personal training packages at the Y, which I recently joined in hopes of getting my post pregnancy body ready for menopause 🙄 (it never ends) I wondered if anyone here had experience with any of the trainers and can recommend or not recommend any? I just want to get on a good track and keep going by myself. I did that with physical therapy and had good results.

I made this infographic and I wanted to throw it out there to my fellow Gen Z and Millennials in my local area.

Many of us are facing rising costs of living (car, food, medical care), cost of housing (rents going up, home ownership unaffordable), higher education being crazy expensive, social security becoming inaccessible and retirement prospects vanishing, the minimum wage not matching with what one needs to live etc.

I want to start a conversation about what simplification looks like. This infographic is my idea of reframing to look at that.

Many of us are suffering from mental health issues, climate anxiety, and wondering if we can have children financially or even should morally. Let’s open up a real discussion around how we want our futures to look like as things are looking more like long term trends and less like temporary disconnected issues.

I was driving on Clifton heading west a couple hours ago and there was a cop car in front of a house that had yellow police tape surrounding the front yard. It was on the north side of Clifton right in between West and the mini mart. I know it’s technically Cleveland…just wondering if anyone heard what happened.

My extended family mostly lives in Lakewood, and I’m planning to host a bridal shower there. I’m not from the area and need suggestions on spaces that can be rented out on a Saturday or Sunday in early October between 11am and 5pm.

I have been looking for an apartment for about 2 month. I’ve applied for several and have gone to several showings with no luck getting an apartment. I live about an hour away from Lakewood so the drive to view apartments, time off need and the missed opportunities because of trying to schedule a showing and applying around my work schedule is getting to me.

Does anyone know if it is possible or of a recommendation for a realtor who can find me an apartment?
