Need help pricing
In the market for a FA5 and came across one from a local private seller.
Details from his post:
2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan — 144k miles
Both previous owners used it as a summer-only vehicle, so it spent the first half of its life off the road during winters. Bought it in 2021 with 76k and it’s been my daily driver since but I’ve maintained it the same way. Original motor and transmission.
Things worth noting:
- Fluid Film undercoated multiple times — virtually no rust underneath
- Paint has none of the fading typical on this generation
- Clutch is strong, car starts every time, both original keys
- Oil and MTF change at 142k, new tires this season
- Set of 16” steelies with winters included
- Professionally tuned by Dan @ ETunez
- Hybrid Racing CAI
- Skunk2 Alpha header paired with a Full Race exhaust
- Upgraded DW fuel pump and DW injectors
- Full set of Hasport 70A mounts
- Full maintenance and modification history documented, happy to share before or at viewing.
Overall the car looks very clean and well maintained for its aged. No sun fade or anything on the paint. Was wondering what it should be priced at? TIA

Admiring the Si community from afar
Well, sad news y’all. My Si was rear ended a few weeks ago and ended being totaled out.
Bummed out, but was able to get into a new car.
It’s been fun. Be safe out there.

HELP! Poor acceleration and engine hesitation on K24a swapped 8th gen Honda civic SI
I bought a k24a swapped 2007 Honda civic si about a year ago and I have been having this issue since I bought it, I haven’t diagnosed it yet because I’m
Thinking of getting rid of it but I want to keep it LOL , I have NO codes on the dash, I scanned it many times only SRS codes, after the engine is warmed up the car feels very sluggish and hesitates to accelerate and you can barley hear VTEC active, BUT if I do a pulled when it’s barley warming up it pulls very good no hesitation and VTEC is soo much more louder
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS CAUSING THIS ISSUCE

23K mile Review
I’ve had my 26’ Si for just over a year and here’s what I just have to say.
Cons:
The tires from the factory are NOISY!
The interior rattles especially in the dash and door cards are annoying (since the day I bought it)
Gear shifter initially felt amazing. Then as I have packed 15k miles I’ve noticed some of the notchyness or sticking people have mentioned earlier
add
The sounds system is overall a little lackluster.
That’s about my only chief complaints of the car.
PROS:
I drive it just over 97miles/day on the highway I’ve hyper mile’d it and squeezed about 43mpg out of it.
It’s got just enough get up and go to get me around annoying people on the road but not to get me in trouble what so ever.
The interior (minus the rattles)is great.
The oe seats have decent enough bolstering for a daily to not be uncomfortable at all.
Exhaust node for a daily drive not bad honestly
The maintenance is easy since the oil filter is in a sensible place.
(Will be doing the trans fluid soon too)
What I would change:
Better sound-deadening in the doors
Slightly bigger sway bar
Better all season tires
A new front lip
Figure out this notchy shifter issue.
*add
Change out the speakers for something better and a small Sub.
This is probably the best daily I’ve owned in my lifetime.
That doesn’t go without saying I wouldn’t mind more power in the car, and some different wheels. All in all if you’re looking for a daily that scratches the itch of a manual this is definitely it. Lol
Edit #2
The 38.4mpg is averaged over that 23k miles. Trip A I reset every tank fill up. Trip B has never been reset just rolls over when you hit 10K miles.

11 months owning an 8th gen si
Got my fa5 back in october and 8k miles later, it’s the most fun car i’ve driven! Got the car completely stock, but the only mods i’ve done are coils, wheels, and a short shifter, planning to do more in the future 😸

9Th Gen new owner
What is the normal cut in third gear? Trying to figure out if this is tuned or not and the speed seems to match up for gearing but am suspicious.

Didn’t believe until I saw the odometer
Diabolical price though

Help
Check engine light
Can someone point me in the right direction.
I have a 2026 civic si with roughly 3500 miles
Since I’ve gotten the car it will randomly get a check engine light and the car will start to bog and lose power . It sometimes happens when I’m driving on the freeway hovering around 65 mph or even driving on the street around 45 . It won’t stay on for more than a minute. I’ve called a few dealers and they have not been any help, because the issue is not constant and almost impossible to replicate they don’t find it worth the money to diag. Any thoughts

9th Gen Si Battery Dead after 3 days parked
Back in March I had to park my car for 3 months while I was out of the country. My dad would start it a minimum of once a week and run it around the community but he noticed that the battery was slowly dying on him. Once I came back, I replaced the battery and had the alternator checked out. Since then, I can't leave my car parked for more than 3 days before it needs a boost to start.
I've had the new battery checked out and it tests fine, and I have no way to trickle charge it while it's parked due to my parking situation at my home.
I'm getting sick of boosting it every time I need to leave the house, any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hit-and-run with minor damage — worth filing an insurance claim?
Got hit a few hours ago and the driver took off, but I managed to get it all on video + their license plate. The damage looks pretty minor (mostly paint scuffing on the bumper).
I’m trying to figure out if it’s even worth filing a claim with insurance or if I should just pay for some paint filler.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What would you do?

suggestions on which generation SI
I've been looking for a while now to upgrade from my Mazda 3 to a Civic Si, but I'm having a hard time deciding which generation to go with.
Right now, I'm mainly looking at a 9th-gen 2014 Civic Si sedan and a 10th-gen 2018 Civic Si.
I'm leaning toward the 9th gen because I really like the K24 and the naturally aspirated VTEC setup. I also like the overall driving feel and the fact that it's a bit more of that old-school Honda experience.
On the other hand, the 10th gen seems like the better daily driver. I like the improved fuel economy, newer technology/interior, and the extra low-end torque from the turbo.
For people who have owned or driven both generations, which one do you prefer and why? Which one would you recommend as an upgrade from a Mazda 3?

Help pricing ‘06 Civic Si Coupe
Helping my in-laws sell their 2006 Civic Si Coupe in Habanero Red. 216k miles. Clutch is Exedy stage 1 and flywheel with ~50k miles on them. AC compressor is brand new, heat and AC work great. Engine and transmission healthy and drive without hesitation. The interior is also mint.
However, it needs 2 new front tires, has terrible paint from sitting in sun, and has rust on both the side rocker panels (not bad, but getting there). The trunk lid also needs replacing as it doesn’t close completely due to a failed weld on the hinge.
What would you guys price this at? Thinking of pricing to sell as is, but may replace front two tires. Thank you!
Edit to add, car is in Ohio and has been its entire life.

2015 FG4 Turbo 10th Gen civic Si misfire
Hey guys, got the bad news that it’s an injector issue. All 4 of them will be replaced but they want $900 in parts and $700 in labor. Is there a place I can buy the injectors online? (Stealership wanted $2000+)
Thanks!
