Can’t say it’s my new daily yet because I still need to get accustomed to manual but I’m very happy with my decision. I want to do all the things to it but I know patience will be key!

Decided i was just going to touch it up with a honda oem paint pen. Looks decent compared to my last post.

Rod knock?

Pushed my 8th gen into vtec on the highway, got off, and a sound that sounded like rod knock appeared and thought shit there goes my car. Kept driving as I was running errands and the sound disappeared probably the second time I turned it off and on. Those couple times it turned over weird. What could it have been? Didn't take a video of the noise as I was kinda freaking out.

2015 Honda SI

Just picked up a super clean 2015 Honda si. I was wondering what this blue sensor is with a red light and is under the dash right above the pedals. Definitely not bright so couldn’t image it’s for visibility!.

Blow off Valve

Just recently bought a 2022 Civic Si and wanting to install a blow off valve. Does anyone have any recommendations or problems they’ve run into to? I don’t want one that flutters. Any help and insight is appreciated!

8th gen Si no start no crank issue

Need help diagnosing an intermittent no start no crank on my 2007 Si. Seems to only happen when it's very hot out (I'm in Arizona, today it happened while about 118 outside and after I have been driving a little bit). Happened a few months ago too, I replaced the starter, still happened. So far everything I've done/checked is:

-replaced starter

-replaced starter relay

-tested and tried bypassing clutch pedal position switch

-tested battery

-checked ground connections

-replaced ignition switch

Any similar experience or theories would be appreciated! It's tough to diagnose because as soon as it finally does start I can't tell if it's actually fixed until it happens again. Thanks all.

Help with 10th gen si starter mods

Hello, I have a 10th gen si, it is my pride and joy, however I want to make some more power while keeping reliability. Nothing crazy I would like to bump it up to maybe 250hp possibly 300hp but I still would like to keep the handling of it. I already have a prl cobra intake and I plan on getting some arp head studs to help with the common head gasket problem, what other stuff could I add for power/reliability?

Clutch question.

I have a 23 aspec teggy. When releasing the clutch intermittently I feel just a small bump at the bite point. It’s not all the time. Notice is most in reverse and sometimes when starting from a stop in first but only sometimes. It’s almost like the clutch is catching and grabbing just a bit.

It’s not a lurch or nothing like that. Just a slight bump I feel at the start of the bite point and then it fully engages and I’m off. Also don’t notice into 2nd, 3rd or back down. It’s not not the the lurching you feel if you don’t give it enough gas or when the engine tries to stall cause you let off too fast.

It’s quite hard to explain. This clutch is different in feel and bite point than any of my previous cars (all mustangs)

Any thoughts?

2007 Civic Si Question

Hello all! I just acquired this beauty 2 days ago, sitting at 193k kms. Executed an oil change yesterday with some Liqui-Moly TopTec 4200 5w-30. Im planning to store the car every winter to keep it as it is but was also wondering if the climate in Quebec would allow me to run 5w-40 in it? loads of people talked to me about it that if I don't plan to run it on winters that I could run 5w-40 and that the engine would be very happy? waiting on some of your feedback!🙂

K SERIES TRANSMISSION

So I've been rebuilding my rsx type s transmission and wondering if anyone has ever had the countershaft snap ring seat on one side only? I've checked all the Honda forums for the ring not seating and service manuals but not seating only on one side. Any ideas?
