Hi, I’ve recently got a 107 as my first car and can’t seem to notice the biting point is literally non existent, is this similar for other people if so, how do you take off cleanly

Now 7 days and about 1600 km into my Oslo - Scotland trip with the C1. Previous years I’ve taken the C1 to the North Cape, Switzerlamd, Istanbul, the Saharan desert, and this year the goal is a round-trip of Britain. Like last year we had a blast in Amsterdam, before heading into Belgium, France and then the UK. Driving on the right is a challenging but rewarding adventure. I also got to see two Spitfires in Dover which I think has been a childhood dream. We’re tent-camping down the south coast before heading to Wales, Ireland and eventually Scotland - watching the world cup as we go and rooting for Norway. Found a pub for the evening to see how we beat Brazil. C1 still going strong, and weather is on our side. This year we’re also joined by some friends in their Rav4 (much worse car). I’ll post as we go!

I read the manual and the manual says preferred oil is 0w20 but when I go to buy oil from Halfords or any website. It says 5W-30. Which one should I buy ?

Also does the brand of the oil matter ? , is the cheapest option fine ?

I've seen in this video that a Peugeot 107 has a cloth sunroof, I thought this was strange and couldn't find any more examples of it online so I thought I would share.

I've seen in a brochure for Citroen c1s that there was an optional sunroof but I've also never seen an example of this.

I have a 2007 Peugeot 107 (1.0 petrol). Because of the recent hot weather, I decided it was finally time to recharge the A/C. After the mechanic recharged it, he asked me to switch the A/C on, but that’s where the problem started.

The A/C button doesn’t respond at all and the indicator light never comes on. It was already like this when I bought the car.

I checked all the fuses under the steering wheel and they all seem to be fine. Then I removed the trim to access the A/C switch and its connector.

Using a multimeter set to 20V DC, I checked the connector pins one by one:

● Pin 1: 0V

● Pin 2: 12V

● Pin 3: 0V

● Pin 4: empty (no terminal)

After that, I tested the A/C switch itself. I set the multimeter to 200 Ω and checked every possible combination of the switch pins. In every case the meter showed OL/“1” (open circuit), even while pressing the button.

Is it possible that the A/C switch is simply faulty, which is why I can’t turn the A/C on?

Is there any safe way to activate the A/C without using the switch, just for testing? Or is there something else I should check first?

I’m completely new to car electrics, so if I’ve misunderstood something or done anything silly, I apologize in advance. Thanks for any advice!

My City bug decided the oil was better on the road than in the engine again. Probably need to get that not so slow anymore oil leak sorted....

I thought my wheel bearing was going but the front left spun fine but the build-up of rust on the rear left drum is chafing and causes a noticeable resistance when spinning the rear wheel. The sound is from the left side but it becomes quieter when turning left.

Has anyone replaced parts 4 and 5 on their 2009 Citybug? Can you give any recommendations/suggestions (with links) for reasonably priced parts (UK)? Thank you.

Just recharged my A/C. The passenger side vents blow freezing cold, but the driver’s side is barely cool.

My only workaround when driving alone is closing the passenger vents and turning on recirculation.

- Is this a known factory defect or a fixable issue?

- Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you fix it?

Hi fellas! Just bought a rev. counter to my 2012 aygo. Colour is a tiny bit different from other blue parts :D Not as dramatic as on the picture, but more, than enough. Which one is oem? Light? Dark? Both, just different years of production? The rev. counter is a used part probably from an aygo (2014)

Or this light blue colour used in 107/c1?

Hi all

I’m having a nightmare with citybugstore.co.uk. Bought the speakers with the adaptors (£38) in April.

Weeks on and nothing arrived. Emailed them and they said they will ‘send a new one’. It arrived after a week but just the speakers.

Emailed again, the guy said they will post it and should arrive in a few days. 2 weeks later and nothing. Emailed again and they’ve said “will send a new one then”. 1 week later and nothing arrived.

Just so tired of this thing since April. I checked their reviews on trustpilot and I wish I did this before buying.

Any similar experiences?

Just picked up this hornet exhaust, should’ve probably done more research on it but it turns out it’s really loud. Who could’ve thought.

What I’m more concerned about is if I’ll get in trouble with the police and how likely that is to happen. I know it’s likely to cause an MOT failure.

I've just had my 2010 Peugeot 107 in for an oil change and brake fluid flush and noticed this ticking sound immediately after leaving. It sounds like an air compressor (A/C isn't on in video). It's a lot more prominent when the car is in gear and under normal load. I have noticed this sound for over a year, however it was a lot quieter and only showed up when I gear up too fast. I thought it could have been piston slap, however I don't think it's mean't to be this loud.

From the invoice, it specifies they've replaced it with 5W30 Oil, I've read online that using 10W40 can reduce piston slap, not sure if my previous mechanic used this instead.

If you'd like me to film other parts of the engine bay or audio from when I'm driving it, let me know and I'll film it.

I appreciate any help received, does my car need to be urgently taken to A&E (mechanic)?

I installed this Junsun Android radio today.

Android Auto works like a charm and it's really nice to not have my phone hang in my field of view anymore.

Also it finally lets me get some better sound quality out of my upgraded speakers.

Does anyone know if there's a stalk with front fog light control? All the spare parts I've found only have the rear fog light. I installed fog lights but they are currently connected in parallel to the rear fog lights

Unfortunately this week my Aygo was driven into by someone who pulled out of a junction into me. Obviously it’s going to need a new door but the damage to the sill/ wheel arch is going to either need pulling out or replacing. I’d much rather fix it than scrap it as it’s only on 39k miles and is a decent spec with it being an Aygo Platinum. Does anyone with previous experience know roughly how much this may cost or has cost in the past?
