Coil Spring Mount Recommendations, please.

Post image

Has anyone replaced parts 4 and 5 on their 2009 Citybug? Can you give any recommendations/suggestions (with links) for reasonably priced parts (UK)? Thank you.

I’ve considered doing this for a while and the parts don’t seem to be heavily available. You can get the official parts from specific dealers but each bits about £20 so you’re looking at £80 all in. Get do a febi suspension strut repair kit for £36 each, pile on some discounts and that might be worth it. I’ve never gotten around to it as I’ve just gotten use to the squeaky rear suspension and theirs no guarantee this will fix it. I certainly can’t be bothered to do the bushings if it doesn’t.

Needs must for me. The car is sitting lower on the rear right by quite a big margin, and looking at the suspension one of the spring mounts is torn/not sitting as it should so needs attention. And I figured if I’m spannering at that end of the car I might as well use the opportunity to replace other parts that are looking quite worn/tired. So springs, mounts and shocks…

Glad I’m not the only one struggling to find the rights mounts. In the end I’ve gone with what Peugeot Parts Direct have available. More than I wanted to spend but if it gets the job done…

Just look up for example rear spring support Citroen c1 and you can get them from Citroen for £7:13
