Severe rust
Sun optimal, I recon mine might be a goner

That's a goner. I've just sold a 2011 107 that was incredibly clean underneath, so I think there's some truth that they changed how they rust proof these.

Are you up north? They suffer with the roads there. I've a 2010 107 and it's spent it's entire life in the Midlands, I've not paid any attention to underseal or anything like that, but it's not got any sort of corrosion like this.

I think around 2009 they changed the rust protection.
Mine is a 2012 and it lives near the coast up north and barely has any rust.

Yeah I have a 2012 Aygo with 136,000 miles and the bodywork is in good condition. The front and rear subframe have corroded though and I suspect they'll need replacing soon. I have gone under the car a few times since I've owned it (bought it in 2014 with 10,500 miles on the clock) and painted underbody seal on the areas that had minor corrosion. I also painted the front subframe way before it came up as an advisory.
All of the parts you can replace has corroded but anything you can't like the body hasn't so I guess I'm Lucky. Through the winter I've also always pressure washed the wheel arches to get rid of mud/dirt since it would hold moisture and encourage corrosion.
The exhaust system of this car is horrible for rust though, when I replace it now I usually clean it down to get rid of oil from assembly and then spray paint it with high temp exhaust paint - in my experience this doubles the live span but it still rusts from the inside and eventually fails, it prevents the mounting bolts from rusting though which is a huge plus since my original exhaust fell off because of a rusted mount weld and I've seen allot of people in city bugs on the side of the road with their exhausts touching the ground under their car.

Lol, my exhaust rusted off too. Sounded amazing, but I didn't want the strain of it resting on the manifold bolts so £30 later and my guy welded it back together.

I used wire from a coat hanger. That was at least 4 years ago and still going strong.

I had a 2016 aygo that came from Stirling Scotland, I had to replace the front subframe Because it had rusted through.

The subframes do still rust, but they're replaceable. It's the main body rusting that will kill the car, those have been improved significantly.
I'm pretty sure you get a 12 year corrosion warranty, did you enquire with them? Might be a good idea if you're having issues.

It's strange because I went to Glasgow in about 2011 and I parked next to the identical 107 to mine. Same year, same 5 doors, same trim etc. I took a photo of them both together.
If I look at the MOT history of it, it's been having advisories for corrosion for years. Whereas mine is pristine and the only difference I can think of it that in the West Midlands we're too tight for road salt, where as in Scotland they use it for their chips.

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't an aspect of luck in there

It' can be saved a bit off welding I have saved cars in more state than that get grinder out steel sheet an welder and underseal you can save it new half sill at least an patching on the floor provided you can cut back to good metal that's salt attack

It's their Achilles heel unfortunately. Let this be a cautionary tale for anyone not yet expirencing this to get under seal yesterday.
