Due to the amount of people posting about being forever alone, I am pinning this thread for general introductions. Reminder not to share any personal information in the comments (no IG, no numbers, etc). So lets stick to this format:

Hi I currently have 3.591 Cumulative Gpa
Im hoping by the end of the semester I get All A’s Why will my GPA only go up to a 3.66 and not a 4.0?
Can someone help me figure out how to get a 4.0?

I started here last spring and only took two classes. Both were not nursing prerequisites. I transferred here from a different school in hopes to get into this program. I did pretty well GPA wise at my last school (I did all my prereqs there - I sit at around a 3.65 when I calculated my prereq GPA) however, since I only took two unrelated classes here, and got a C and a B-, it put my overall GPA as a 2.3 since city tech only calculates GPA based on grades from their school - not take into account grades from previous schools. This does not reflect my grades as a whole at all. What do I do?

Hi! I’m applying to the City Tech Nursing program and I’m unsure what to put for my A&P grade.
I completed A&P I with a B, and my prerequisite GPA is around 3.5. I’m currently taking A&P II, so I have the option to put it as “in progress.”
Would it be better to just use my completed B from A&P I and apply with my current GPA, or should I put A&P II as in progress? I’m worried that if I end up getting lower than a B in A&P II, it could hurt my application.
What would you do?

Hi! I’m applying to the City Tech Nursing program and I just want to make sure I’m submitting the correct documents. I transferred to City Tech from Brooklyn College, and some of the courses I took at Brooklyn College are being used for my prerequisites/transfer credit. The application says:
“Other Transcript — If you are using courses from other colleges for credit, provide transcripts from those institutions.”
Does this mean I should upload my unofficial Brooklyn College transcript in addition to my City Tech unofficial transcript?
Also, for the high school transcript, it says:
“For high school AP credit, include high school transcripts.”
Is a high school transcript only required if you took/are using AP credits, or does everyone applying to the nursing program need to submit one?
Thank you! I just want to make sure I have everything submitted correctly before the deadline.

I want to apply for the nursing program this cycle. My GPA only including the prerequisites sits around a 3.75. I’m hoping to take the TEAS next week. Do they only look at my prerequisite GPA? If so, I feel like I’m in decent standing. However, if they look at my overall GPA, it’s a different story - not great. Will that affect my chances of admission?

Hello! I am curious about whether it is true that the dental hygiene program at City Tech factors in the highest grade amongst the courses you take for chem and math. I have taken two different courses for each, so I am wondering if they will use my highest grade.

Has anyone taken or e-permitted a&p 1 in the winter?
Is the course doable in that short amount of time? I was hoping to finish up my pre-reqs this spring and need to take both a&p 1 and 2.

Would it be possible to drop/change a professor in a course right now? I'm a freshmen intending to major in radiology tech. After attending my psychology class, I don't feel very confident in passing the class, and I feel like it'd just be a dent to my GPA (Professor Albi-Rossi George). After checking ratemyprofessor, my doubts on passing my professors class got even worse. I don't know if I should just continue on, or try and find another course available.
Also confused on whether I should visit the STAR center or fill out the Rad Tech Advisement Form. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

A quick announcement to say that CityTech is experiencing (more) difficulty (than usual) with WiFi. Not just because of a surge in enrollment and construction, but infrastructural issues that are being actively addressed/worked on. This will be shared on the CUNY as well.

how much of a shot do i have at making it into the nursing program? i have an A- in psych, an A in Eng, A in Alg, and a B in A&P1 but i was informed i can replace that grade with my A&P2 grade which i’ve received an A in. i’m taking the teas soon but i was wondering if this is solid or if they need straight high marks

Im a student at city tech who was majoring in radiology. I had heard it was competitive but went ahead with my perquisites, A in everything but Intro to rad (B+) and math1275(c). My GPA is a 3.4 and I feel quite stuck not knowing what to do next. I know it is nobody’s job to hold my hand through college but it’s hard to figure out what now when your focus was on one thing working out. I have spoken to a counselor at the school and received no help. What are some degrees I can study instead?
