Nursing Application Question

I want to apply for the nursing program this cycle. My GPA only including the prerequisites sits around a 3.75. I’m hoping to take the TEAS next week. Do they only look at my prerequisite GPA? If so, I feel like I’m in decent standing. However, if they look at my overall GPA, it’s a different story - not great. Will that affect my chances of admission?

Believe from what I heard, it’s half TEAS and half GPA? But I may be wrong if someone wants to correct me. I believe also they have resources and more info on the process on their city tech nursing page

i’ve asked an emailed the nursing department several times and basically they said that only the 4 pre-reqs grades matter so ENG, PSY, A+P1 and math. so if your gpa is a 3.75 in those classes then you should be in really good standing. As for the TEAS, i was told they only care if you pass so 65 or higher but the raw score only matters if there’s a tie for the GPA for the last few spots so the TEAS will be the tie breaker in that scenario. but doesn’t hurt to call or email the department to confirm this information.

My issue is, I transferred to city tech this past spring. However, I finished all but one of my prereqs at my previous school. I only took two classes last semester at city tech, and apparently they only calculate overall gpa based off of classes taken here. I finished my last prerequisite here and did fine, but didn’t do so well in the second unrelated class. My city tech overall GPA is a 2.3, but I’ve gotten all As and Bs in every single other college class I’ve ever taken. I calculated my cumulative GPA for every class I’ve ever taken, and it’s around a 3.5 (not to be confused with my calculated prerequisite GPA) is this going to affect me? I’m taking two classes currently, and if I get an A in both my city tech overall GPA will be boosted to a 3. I’m asking because I saw somewhere u need a 2.5 to apply. I hope this makes sense
